Another great meal at the Ivy Tower Bridge, great location, great food and drink selection and reasonably priced also
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had the set lunch menu which was very good value.
Great brunch. Fab service, lovely surroundings.
We were quite disappointed with this place as we expected a better choice of food not mainly sandwiches with chips. It's overpriced for what it is. We sat in an area where there was a good window view but a noise from neighbouring tables was to high, waiters dropped dishes or glasses on the floor making lots of noise too. When a cadle holder went on the floor a peace that broke off even jumped up on my sholder. The staff were very nice & apologetic though. All in all this was not a great place to go for our anniversary.
Had afternoon tea, great price compared to other restaurant or hotels in the area. Good food and service very helpful, also had a lovely view of tower bridge.
Inattentive staff who knew orders were wrong but continued to place them on the table. Very slow drinks resulting in repeat orders and then issues with the bill.
Such a shame as I have eaten here many times. Seems to be going the same way as Jamie Oliver restaurants- too successful and they lose control.
Amazing experience for a special birthday. Special requests were accepted and service was impeccable.
Excellent choice for vegans and vegetarians that was creative and not just a plate of boiled veg
We had a great meal at The Ivy, Tower Bridge, after seeing a play at the Bridge Theatre. Food was wonderful, particularly the Braised Shoulder of Lamb and Apple Fine Tart. Service was excellent and views outstanding.
A beautiful restaurant, delicious food and good service. My only issue was they sat us in a very noisy part of the restaurant, not really the correct atmosphere for afternoon tea.
I had really high hopes for this place as I had heard so many good things about things about “The Ivy” prior to my visit. However it just did not in any shape live up to my expectations. I could’ve gone somewhere a lot cheaper where I know the food would’ve been better and had a better evening.
The food for me was a MASSIVE disappointment!! Honestly I haven’t had substandard food like it in a long time. I’ve visited a lot of restaraunts and have travelled a bit and this was by far some of the worst food I have eaten. With the waitresses recommendations I went for the chicken Milanese and “cheesy truffle fries”. Since when did fries come with crumbs on the top. The chicken dish could’ve been bought in a supermarket and put in the oven for all I know!! Didn’t even bother to look at desserts after this.
Not impressed in the slightest. Very disappointed and probs wouldn’t recommend!
08.12.18 my family enjoyed a lovely meal for my wife’s birthday. The staff were very helpful, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Great value for money and in an excellent position for a day out in London.
Very well looked after and our waiter was very attentive and happy to help. Will definitely be returning soon.
This was an old school friends reunion and we were all impressed by the quality of the food and attention to detail. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. It’s a great place to eat before or after a visit to the Bridge Theatre!
Amazing! Came here for my friends birthday breakfast and we both fell in love with this place! The customer service was beyond outstanding.
Disappointing. Arrived early for some cocktails at the bar, reception staff not really keen on offering a spot at the bar although you don’t have to book , they suggested the Prosecco House nearby, I declined and was offered 2 stools at the bar for 4 of us, although the bar quite empty, I realised they were keeping them for walk in customer to eat at the bar. Nice drinks served. We were seated at a table close to the window which looked out on to a brick wall and bicycle racks, it was chilly near the window and we asked for a table upstairs which looks on to the river when we booked as a special night out, but none available, so we were seated in a kind of brassiere bar area which appeared to be for walk ins. The service was good, one main sent back as fillet not cooked as requested, replaced and taken off bill. Rest of food delicious. All in all a disappointing night out, took the edge off our celebration, Ivy City Garden next time, much more of a special night out place.
The food was delicious, the view was amazing, the service was great and it was very good value. A great night out.
Great early evening meal before going to the Bridge Theatre.
I really enjoy my lunch at The Ivy London Bridge, with my sister and our husbands,
And in particular The Apple Tart was excellent
A really lovely meal and the staff were lovely and polite. I loved the View I would definitely reccomend to family and friends and would go again x
We were very fortunate as we had a table overlooking the river and Tower Bridge. Atmosphere great and food lovely. Our waiter could have been slightly more attentive but realise it’s a busy time of year. It really is a lovely restaurant and if I had to moan about one thing it was my gravy was not as hot as I like it BUT this was quickly resolved. Definitely be back soon.
As a local resident and long time patron of the Ivy, I was disappointed in my recent visit. The service was poor and it was difficult to figure out who was in charge as I took 30 minutes to get some water. I hope this was an unfortunate incident and not a slippery slope that the restaurant is heading into.
Lovely evening, celebrating our daughter’s birthday with a family meal. Food was absolutely delicious - complete with complimentary sparkler- and service from our main waitress was great. Just a few things that made it slightly less than perfect included cloakroom arrangements that meant queueing to get in and out plus other table staff that didn’t really engage. It was also quite busy and noisy at the time we dined. But none of that will stop me from booking again - perhaps for lunch, when we can benefit from the set menu offers and fabulous views.
Enjoyed a very late lunch stretching into early evening which was useful. The food from the set menu was delicious, fish cake for starter, beef particularly tender and salted caramel / ice cream pudding. Ideal position for Bridge Theatre, Tower Bridge and London Bridge Station.
Fabulous all round. Great food and service in a wonderful environment - and the lunch we had was very good value.
A fabulous time as always, however we did not like the table positioning, which was to the side which meant the ambiance / lack of atmosphere was poor.
Exceptional food! The staff are a credit to The Ivy brand. A thoroughly enjoyable lunch.
Waiter was rude, did not even speak to us except to order. Water was empty, we basically felt ignored and felt he was annoyed before we even sat down. Food was not the greatest. Will never return.
We had been running late and Ivy Tower Bridge were really flexible and we had a beautiful relaxed meal with excellent service.
Service was really quite poor due to a young waiter who didn’t appear to care.
He had a very strong accent and mumbled quietly.
He also appeared disinterested.
had a lovely meal, waiter wasnt too knowledgeable with the english language but hey ho its a sign of the times, good food though.
I think the food could be improved. The branding and the decor raise expectations of the food, which doesn't live up to it. Prices are reasonable, and the wine list is good.
Booked for afternoon tea - waiter very forgetful and we waited 20 minutes for our order to be taken.
Sandwiches very dry and the scones were rock hard biscuit texture and not the standard we are used to in the original Ivy restaurant.
Wouldn’t recommend tea here
Lovely Sunday afternoon at the Ivy Restaurant arrived five minutes before our table was booked for two. Coats were taken then straight to our table. Good choice on the menu and was good value for money.
I have been at the Ivy two or three times now an the service continues to be quite inconsistent. Our waitress was not too helpful, took very long to come around and we kept having to call on them for her to come as anyone else around would not take our order, they all reverted back to her and she was not around much. A lunch that would perfectly take 1 HR ended up taking me and my guest close to 3hr 15m.
The food was good but is not cheap either.
Every time I have been at the Ivy i have walked out with the same feeling of not completely satisfied for the amount of money we paid.
Great brunch place near Tower Bridge. Always so buzzing and full of energy. Great service and food delicious!
A great lunch. The only improvement would be the checking in when arriving.
We had to queue out the door and the lady who was booking people in and hanging up coats was quite stressed and therefore did not offer a good first impression.
I am still smiling from a great Tower Bridge / Tower of London facing table. The setting, service and overall dining experience were excellent. I can’t wait to go back!
Everything was perfect, food was tasty, service was good. Just ticked all the boxes.
I will defiantly be returning. Thank you
Our experience of The Ivy Tower Bridge outstanding in almost every way.
The only thing i found baffling was on arrival, there were four staff members crowding into a very small (8×4) reception area and it took quite a while to find our booking.
In their defence,it was busy for Sunday evening pre theatre.
Service/food were impeccable and the bill for a 3 course meal with wine was completely reasonable.
We would go again & recommend wholeheartedly.
Having been to the Ivy previously and having a great time, three of us booked to come for afternoon tea once again.
We pre-booked our table and called to arrange one vegetarian afternoon tea and one vegetarian with no egg (which we have had before, apparently) - we were told this was fine, on the phone.
When it came to ordering our food, we were then told that they could not provide a no egg option. We explained that we had pre-called and had had it before.
The manager then came over to explain why they could not accommodate a no egg request. My friend was then presented with a bowl of berries with sorbet and 3 sandwiches.
The service was awful.
Two out of the three of us, are pregnant and had ordered a jasmine tea and a decaff coffee, the jasmine tea and coffee did not arrive, but 2 prosecco's and a lemonade came. We explained we only ordered one prosecco, which a member of staff then gave us, only to realise it was meant for another table and tried to take it away (after my friend had taken a sip).
After we had eaten we explained we did not feel that we should be expected to pay service charge as the service had been so poor. The member of staff said ok and proceeded to take our payment without asking what the reason was for this.
As you cane imagine, we will not be returning.
