The food was very good and the view was amazing. I had asked for a table with a nice view and that is what we had. The service was not too great. Our waiter was polite but his trousers were dirty and stained with food. Our dinner came first and we had to ask twice in order to get our drinks. Upon walking inside the restaurant there was a slightly unpleasant smell of fish. I would have liked better ventilation.
Excellent venue, amazing view, excellent food, excellent service. Highly recommend.
Amazing service - a huge thanks to the staff who made our visit very enjoyable.
The food was excellent and great value.
Lovely food and great service. View was great. Ate outside as weather was beautiful
Food was nice and we had good tables and atmosphere was fantastic! I would definitely come back again.
Beautiful restaurant with fantastic views enhanced even more by the lovely, welcoming staff and delicious food. Myself and three friends celebrate our collective birthdays each year with a trip to London and always try to find somewhere a bit special to eat. After an overnight stay we just needed a light lunch before heading back home. The Ivy at Tower Bridge was recommended by my husband and son who had visited the restaurant last year and knew we would be impressed. The weekend brunch menu is excellent and very reasonably priced for the quality of the place, same with the wine. A table upstairs by the window and superb, friendly service made us feel very spoiled. Wished we could have stayed longer and sampled more from the menu. We were definitely impressed. Many thanks to everyone.
Delicious food, excellent service though tables too close together. I felt like I was a table of four with the couple next to us. Doesn’t feel private. Ultimately it didn’t spoil the meal or the occasion - our wedding anniversay. Value for money good too. x
Excellent food with good service, sadly the bar got in muddle & brought the wrong drink at the beginning of the evening then a half full coffee pot at the end of the meal. Don't let that put you off what was otherwise a very good dining experience.
We dine here often and have never been disappointed with the food. Good value for money too. Only criticism was that our bottle of white wine was not chilled
we went to the Ivy t celebrate my sister and brother in laws anniversary and the whole experience was wonderful, the food was lovely. I had requested a table upstairs so we could have a view of tower bridge. we had a wonderful waitress call Patricia looking after us and she was really helpful and professional.
Overall we had a nice time. Ambience was good, we wasn’t rushed. The food took a very long time to arrive at the table & we had to ask the waiter to chase it twice. We were busy chatting so didn’t mind on this occasion, but had we been in a rush!!
Food was very nice.
The service and food was excellent. It was my partner's birthday and its felt very special. However the staff bought my partner some complimentary "Happy Birthday" chocolates. We though this was a lovely touch until I realised they had charged me for them on the bill. I didn't query this at the time as it was a special occasion but I thought this was really cheeky as we didn't order the chocs!!
Wonderful service great food and great ambiance. A thoroughly enjoyable visit.
Very well looked after. Service was very nicely handled to make you feel comfortable.
Excellent food and service in a friendly chilled and relaxing environment
Really nice place to have a bite to eat and catch up with friends. Really enjoyed my meal and the dessert - chocolate bomb was amazing!
Have dined here on a number of occasions and every time the food. Service and overall experience has been superb. Best view in London.
It was an amazing afternoon. The staff were very professional, the food was delicious and filling, the decor was on point and the ambience lush!
Lovely food, very attentive service. Would definitely go back for those pancakes!
I really like these Ivy Cafes. I've also been to the one in Wimbledon and cobham. The decor and menu are the same in all of them and I find them a really good choice for dining on under £50 per head.
Fantastic location, perfect on a lovely sunny day. Suspect eating on the Terrace even better if hot. This is a ‘big’ Ivy with large bar area which was surprisingly empty.
Tables are a tad close together...but won’t prevent me returning. This whole area has been developed so lots of great new eating and drinking places to explore.
We had a pre theatre family dinner at the Ivy Cafe this week and really enjoyed our whole experience from the welcome, the ambiance and of course the food. Also we were served efficiently but without feeling rushed which was exactly what was needed pre-theatre. We will probably make this our go-to venue for dinner before the Bridge Theatre.
The food was very good but my wife has particular dietary requirements and they were incredibly unhelpful and inflexible in meeting her needs. Staff were diffident and amateurish. Generally disappointing. Won’t be going back there. Trading too much on its name rather than on an excellent experience.
Great for brunch. The food isn't spectacular, but it's served with style and attention. The location is good for a casual out of towner to see a good view of Tower Bridge.
Lovely meal in fab surrounding. Staff very attentive and helpful.
We came here for a Anniversary breakfast. The food was amazing and so reasonably. We did not tell any of the staff we were celebrating our anniversary but the waiter came over and asked us if we wanted to sample some complimentary cocktails and desserts at the bar! What a lovely touch, of course we said yes and had a such a nice extra half an hour at the bar enjoying your cocktails and desserts. This was such a nice touch.
This is the first time we had eaten at the Ivy Tower Bridge and it didn't disappoint.
Welcoming staff on arrival who were friendly and chatty. Our table was ready on arrival and we were shown straight to it.
We ordered drinks and weren't hurried to order our food. The main courses we chose were amazing, tasty and quite filling.
There was no rush to order our desserts, it's all very laid back. The Apple tart flambé was unreal, would highly recommend!
Once we had eaten and settled the bill we went round to the bar and sat and had a night cap. Great atmosphere in both the restaurant area and bar area. We'll definitely be going back and would highly recommend the Ivy to anyone.
Good food great table very poor service
Felt like we were seated and then left
Had to ask for drinks and menus more than once
Disappointed as have been to other restaurants in the chain and have always been very happy
Fantastic views across the Thames. Brilliant food and fabulous cocktails!
Lovely location and great service. The food was good but the burger was well done and not medium as requested, so a little chewy....not what I would have expected from a restaurant of this calibre! The Shepherds pie was tasty as were the tempura prawns.
Having never had a problem in any of The Ivy restaurants this was a real disappoint. Seated by the entrance so people constantly walking past, 3 starters came together last one took ages but by far the worst part was main courses came and sides then took 4-5 mins to arrive. Food was ok but ruined by poor service
Went for afternoon tea for our Anniversary and the food both savoury and sweet was exceptional. They missed out on a 5 because they really were not very good/attentive about the main component, namely the tea itself. It was served in a nice pot, but was a tea bag, but ob no occasion were we offered more tea or even hot water !! Given they give the impression of being a classy place, this was truly a missed opportunity
Our third visit to our favourite branch of The Ivy chain - lovely setting with plenty of style and space. Weekend brunch menu was perfect for us. Excellent service as usual.
We have visited a few of the Ivy Beasseries and love them.. but this one lacked the ambience and buzz of the others ie Covent Garden and Soho which are excellent. The service was also really slow.
Special occasion gift celebrating our family birthdays. We had a good table with lovely views of Tower Bridge. A great setting to initiate our dining experience. The food was very good however I felt that the service was a little slow and we had to often try and track down our waiter - who was, of course, working incredibly hard, however, I believe for this level of dining there should have been more servers available asking us rather than us asking them. I believe the service let the experience down a little ....certainly no fault of the waiter who was very pleasant but more down to not having enough staff to cover the whole floor at such a busy time. I can not take away the fact that we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal of Buffalo mozzarella and Salmon starters to fillet steak mains, shepherd pie and delicious desserts. Panna cotta the favourite! By the time we got to Birthday Cake we were a little overdone by all the food we had indulged in but overall a very good evening.
Went with a friend who was visiting London. He loved the ambience and the service. Food is great, not exceptional, but dinner at the Ivy is always a treat!
First visit and not disappointed. Excellent service, delicious food, presentation faultless and great attention to detail. Will be back.
We booked early dinner so chose from the pre 18.30 menu. Excellent value and really delicious food. We bought last minute £15 tickets for A play at the Bridge Theatre next door to see Nightfall. What a wonderful evening! Nicola
Very good food, can't understand when you book they ask if it's for a special occasion so therefore stated it was for my daughters birthday that day no special was done for us 🙃
From the moment we entered the door we were treated to the best customer service and served the most delicious food. The food arrived quickly and was hot. The house white wine was delicious. The only problem I can see is that the restaurant is too popular and booking ahead is advised. We will be back with more friends soon.
