Great meal great service and would defo go back again
Thank you so much for making my godmother birthday special siobhan M lovely host went the extra mile and beyond for you us also the other Waiter that recommended the Apple tart was lovely thank you defo will be back
Disappointed with the choice of dishes, all well executed but rather uninspired.
Stunning location with amazing staff and food. Price was incredible for a 3 course meal, rare find to have such good food at such a great price in central London. The staff was so attentive and friendly.
Convenient, nice staff, good food and ambience for lunch
Excellent location. Lovely breakfast with wide food choices. Lovely staff too
Great experience, good food.
I was going to write a complaint for me experience. I loved the food and most of the service was great it was lovely to feel very spoilt and elegant . However one major thing totally spoilt our experience.
2-3 members of staff were stood only feet away in full ear shot talking and arguing at the bar. Not what you want or expect from such a prestigious restaurant as the ivy! One member of staff was shouting through the corridors after delivering guests drinks that he only had 15 minutes till his shift ended! It made me feel very unwelcome and as though all the staff hate there job and we are an inconvenience to them!!
I really wanted to love the ivy as this was my first visit to London and I’m planning another but this was such a disappointment!
It was lovely. We sat outside but there were blankets and heaters. Acoustically much easier for one of our party who is hard of hearing and finds restaurants sometimes difficult, if busy. As evening came on, the lights of the city gave us s very beautiful and atmospheric backdrop.
My daughter and I had breakfast last weekend here and the whole experience from start to finish was fantastic
The lady on reception and all the waiting staff were polite and made us feel very special
Lovely food and great service, only comment would be that our table was extremely close to the two tables either side of us, to the point where it fealt as though we were all on a table together.
Having tried all the top restaurants during our trip I can say without any question, this restaurant is far and away the very best.
The staff make you feel special (clearly properly trained) the service was impeccable, we had space, did not feel rushed and the food was exceptional.
Finally, receiving the bill was a pleasure unusually as it was far less than I expected based on my experiences elsewhere in London.
Cannot speak highly enough of this venue, views, ambience, service, excellent food and all at a reasonable cost.
We will be back for sure!!
We have been to this Ivy before and was not disappointed. It was the first visit for our friends and they loved it.
Lovely staff and lovely food! Had a great evening with a great view!
Amazing! Was here celebrating my graduation. Would definitely come back!
Portions very small. Cheese soufflé was delicious but cold in the middle.
Blackened cod was delicious but no potatoes came with it.
Chocolate caramels for desert tasted of coconut which was not mentioned on the menu and we do not like coconut!
Expensive for small portions….
The waiting staff were very attentive and whilst they reduced our bill without asking, that in essence is not what we wanted or the point. Drinks were extremely slow to arrive (we even finished our course before a glass of wine arrived) and one drink was wrongly ordered, steak asked for well done and arrived rare, Childs hamburger was served as very rare in a dried up brioche bun, very bland and non descript, a side order of vegetables never arrived until late on in the main course.
In summary the serving staff were let down buy the bar and the kitchen and I left very disappointed!!
The food was below standard compared to previous Ivy experiences elsewhere. The poached eggs seemed pre-prepared and were not heated through properly. The chips were overcooked and dry and not hot. My friend had to send her meal back as she has coeliac and had asked to be served without muffins but it came with. Food and service were disappointing. However, based on previous experiences elsewhere I would still use Ivy restaurants
Celebrating with friends
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Fantatsic food, excellent service and reasonably priced.
I don’t think the restaurant is well equipped to serve outside in a cold winter day. The heaters were not well distributed to heat every table which made our experience not the best.
We had lunch at the Ivy today was a great way to spend my Birthday. A little cake was presented at the end.
Our party of 6 had a very good and comfortable table. The service that we received was very good, the cocktails delicious. The food and size of portions was very good. Overall a very enjoyable and relaxed experience.
Overall experience very average. It felt designed to cram people in tables are very small for two people.
Ham was grey which is a new one for me. Service was nothing to rave about
Amazing value for money. Coffee was delicious and the food was lovely.
Great food. Good service. Ordered a vegetarian curry - got a meat curry, exchanged no problem but no recompense offered. My husband had his meal and didn’t want to eat it until mine arrived - understandably as we had come out for a meal together. Waiter very apologetic but husbands meal got cold.
Would go again. Just a shame that happened.
Lovely evening, great staff and food. Nice view of the bridge as requested - thnK you.
We had a really lovely meal and the staff were great. Thank you.
Fantastic night all round. Good food and good service.
Booked for my friends 40th birthday and everything was perfect. From the food, the service, the staff and the location. Thank you for making my friends day special.
It was a really good start to the day and the breakfast menu had lots of choices
Lovely staff and food. Would recommend.
Lovely birthday celebrations. Waiter and food was lovely too. Very quick and efficient service. The manager was fantastic in ensuring my friend, who has many different allergies (MCAS), had a meal put together especially for her, so that was able to eat something she could enjoy and be safe in eating. Delicious, fantastic service, stunning views and so well worth the expense!
Never had a bad meal at the ivy - attentive staff and excellent food.
Been here back within 15 days and the same food tasted really different!
The place was full on a Wednesday evening but it was all a good crowd so no complaints. The service was good but the kitchen seemed to be really busy so had to wait a long tome to get our mains.
We ordered the same vegetarian mains as we did two weeks back and it tasted so different. It wasn’t what I expected it to be. I liked the food the first time and not this time.
Overall I would say it was good but will have to think if I would go back again ever.
Fantastic food and cocktails in a relaxed and stylish setting. Great service and friendly staff
We are regulars at this Ivy and we return because of the ambience and food .. and the bonus is a spectacular view.
Fabulous breakfast for birthday celebration! Great atmosphere and excellent service! Will definitely return. Thank yiu.
Very enjoyable pre-theatre meal. Comfortable and well attended.
Very nice food, excellent service, 2 course menu good value.
