The Ivy Tower Bridge
With interiors designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, the two-floors restaurant will offer guests the choice of dining within the restaurant, enjoying the view from floor to ceiling glass windows, or outside on the Parisian-style al fresco terrace seating 50 and overlooking the River Thames.
The location is amazing and the staff very attentive. However I was disappointed in the food and for the cost I was expecting a lot better.
A very nice place to grab a cocktail! Definitely try the Royal as it what a signature cocktail should be. Btw, you know you’re in a special place when the restaurant has a signature cocktail that doesn’t need to be pushed by the staff but by other customers. On the flip side, service was a little unconcerned, but overall an amazing experience
I repeated again my dinner on ivy with my family, great service. I will come back again.
Nice table felt rushed though. Dodd average but overall a nice experience
Won’t be visiting this branch again! Too busy, too noise, too touristy ( visit the Victoria or South K - 10x better! Very disappointed :-(
It was a brilliant evening food was great and the service was outstanding thankyou
Everything was wonderful. Not too many veggie options also we were told after an hour that we would have to give our table as they have other waitings I don’t know if it was because we were sitting near the window table and they wanted that but when you go in such fancy restaurants you don’t usually tell your customers to leave soon. I was celebrating my bday with my friend and she arrived late so i think appreciate that gesture
Lovely view watching the lights coming on over the city as it got dark. Lovely ambience and very good value champagne tea!
Great location quite expensive but worth it for a special treat
As ever, the Ivy experience is just right. Friendly service at acceptable prices with cooking that is generally good. A couple of the dishes came to the table more tepid than warm.
Lots of character, great food and service. Would recommend
The food very good and well presented.
The service from the majority of the staff was great and welcoming which I think is almost as important as the food.
Noise level was fairly high due to numbers of dinners at the venue.
Where we were sat was in a draught due I think to the air con which was cold. It was off-putting but was not a real problem but a nuisance and distracting. If we had been at a different table i suspect would not have been a problem. We did mention it to the staff but I believe it was not in their control as it was not resolved by the time we left.
Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and one which we will return to.
The food was very tasty and well presented and the service was excellent. My friend and I had a lovely table overlooking Tower Bridge. It was a great experience that we look forward to repeating.
As this was our Christmas lunch we both loved the festive feel of the restaurant. Very tastefully done and certainly added to our enjoyment of The Ivy Tower Bridge.
Amazing view, good service and overall enjoyable time.
Waiter was very accommodating to our requests.
We needed to have paid and be away by 19.00 and we were! Excellent prompt helpful waitress and lovely meal. We had a table down the side so no beautiful view of Tower Bridge and Tower of London but relaxing and peaceful. Thank you for good beginning to a lovely evening in PreChristmas London!
I loved it the atmosphere at the ivy is great also the views of Tower Bridge Tower of London are a bonus. The ivy shepherd pie is so tasty just needs to be a bigger portion😀
Warm welcome and very attentive service from the word go. Great view of river and city. Something for everyone on the a la carte menu (and the set lunch looks great value) but we chose the specials which were elegantly presented and delicious. Will be back again soon.
Overall the experience was amazing. The staff were friendly and very helpful whilst remaining very professional. Unfortunately there was a flaw which was that i found
the signage for the toilets and cleanliness therein well below standard. The Washroom sign above the doors did not appear obvious at first, perhaps because i had been looking for Ladies and Gents signs more prominently placed on the walls at a more visible level. Having then by chance found the door to the unmarked accessible toilet, i discovered the toilet itself to be dirty and marked. Being a lady of a certain age and in need i continued but then discovered too late that there was no loo paper and no spare roll available. Certainly not an experience i would expect in any establishment, but very surprising and disappointing in a restaurant of this calibre. I coped but i dread to think of the distress it could have caused in different circumstances.
We were at the ivy on the day of the London Bridge attacks which is very close to the restaurant. The staff were very professional and calm which made me feel much more comfortable during a time that was quite scary.
We met up with some friends down from Edinburgh for the weekend who were impressed with the venue, lunch menu and general ambience. Only downside was that as we were leaving the incident on London Bridge kicked off and it was difficult to leave the area. Having been to a few 'Ivys', this one is our favourite.
I must confess that I got there a little earlier than the reservation (50 min) and the hostess did not suggest me to wait at the bar until the time I could get to the table. There was a host later (approximately 40 min) that suggested that to me. Meanwhile, I had to wait in the freezing gusts and rain. Not a memorable experience.
Lovely food. Excellent service. Wonderful view. One plate came out cold and was replaced very quickly
Tables too close
Size of type on menu is a joke in a darkened room
Very elegant and very nice food. Only criticism is poor cloakroom. Nowhere to put umbrellas or hats!
Excellent service top draw
I usually book a table here whenever I have tickets for The Bridge theatre next door. As always, the service is personable and efficient. Both the early bird menu (before 6.30) and the a la carte are excellent.
Great food, friendly service, lovely setting on the Thames.
The location of the restaurant is good, however, the food quality is very poor. I ordered a medium rib-eye steak. When I cut the meat open, there is no trace of red. The meat is cooked to well-done. The chef in the restaurant needs to improve on cooking steak.
Good food, nice setting, appropriate service, you get what you pay for. Very good location; there are a lot of place to walk and see before and after visiting Ivy. We all enjoyed it and will definitely go back on another occasion.
Lovely venue, with a real festive feel. Cocktails were great! Menu you was more light and brunch than expected, but what we ordered was very good, especially chocolate pud dessert.
This is one of my favourite places for lunch or dinner when I am in Central London.
The food, service, ambience and location are superb. I must try breakfast there sometime I’m sure I won’t be disappointed.
Really lovely meal, most enjoyed by our family. Friendly service
Enjoyed our meal and the service here last Sunday. Will come again.
Good service if a little slow but the plates were cold so my eggs were cold by the time I ate them. Hot plates please!
An excellent venue for an evening meal, with great views of the Tower of London and Tower Bridge.
A good menu to choose from.
Had very pleasant meal with family but thought the Brunch Menu at 3pm in the afternoon was a bit limiting - and my own personal bug bear - why do they charge extra for sauces with your steak ? Do they really make them individually or just pour some out of a big pot into a small pot.
It was a beautiful setting, however I had booked this for my mum's 60th birthday and we weren't sat with a view of Tower Bridge which was very disappointing. That would have made this an exceptional restaurant visit. They did provide a small cake with a Happy Birthday chocolate for my mum which we weren't expecting so that was just lovely and I think she really appreciated that. I enjoyed my meal (the Keralan Sweet Potato Curry was so yummy), as did everyone but the dessert options weren't great so again a little disappointing.
The place to go for an imaginative menu and good food in beautiful, vibrant surroundings. Stunning views of the Tower of London and Tower Bridge. Great service.
We had a lovely time for our daughters 16th Birthday celebration. We will be back! Thanks!
Birthdays- great food and ambience
