Fabulous night out with a friend. Lovely food....fab bottle of red....great decor...amazing service from Chris...all in all Pretty Perfect! 👍
Excellent food and attentive service, our waiter gave us fabulous recommendations and ensured the wine was always topped up! Lovely atmosphere and gorgeous setting.
Enjoyed every minute and every morsel of food! The staff were lovely, the decor was beautiful and the food was superb. The chocolate bomb was the best desert I ever tasted. Thank you to all the staff
My Mum and I had a lovely lunch, it’s just we were near the door.
The food was excellent, the waiter service was superb very attentive.
Gorgeous place and rather quirky decor. We had the champagne afternoon tea and it was lovely, especially the warm scones. A lovely birthday treat. I would visit again and next time try something from their lunch/dinner menu as all the food coming from the kitchen looked very tasty.
We must have been lucky, because on this visit it was less busy, which made it a very pleasant afternoon.
Food was delicious and we are already looking forward to our next visit.
As good as you would hope. Relaxed brunch atmosphere. Large number of staff present but hugely efficient yet. I sense that there's still quite a bit of training needed - appropriate glasses, removing menus, returning for orders etc. Still a nice dining experience and very good food.
Great food and service. Sunday brunch and there was a D J upstairs which was great. Just a lovely stylish place you have to visit
Lovely building, ambiance and food, unfortunately the service totally let it down and spoilt the experience for us. We must have had our menus for at least half an hour before our order was taken!
Fabulous restaurant. A traditional vibe with a modern twist. Food is delicious! Service very good, very prompt service. Highly recommend salted caramel espresso martini.
We had a lovely time and our waitress was exceptional, very friendly which made the whole time spent at the Ivy very enjoyable.
Thoroughly enjoyed late lunch early supper. Can't resist the smoked salmon consistently excellent as is all the food beautifully prepared. Service very good and relaxed atmosphere. Never disappointed.
Fantastic atmosphere. Service was excellent. Still think for the size of portions a bit pricey.
The last time I came to the Ivy I had a fantastic experience, the food was amazing and the service exemplary. I decided to treat a very good friend of mine to a birthday meal following my very positive experience. Unfortunately the service was no where near as attentive and our table for two felt cramped and very close to our neighbors.
I realize that my first experience was on a Tuesday and may mean that the restaurant is not as busy as it is on a Saturday, however I feel that a restaurant with the reputation of the Ivy needs to work harder to maintain a high level of service.
We had a really lovely lunch. The food was gorgeous, service really good and the restaurant fab. Definitely book again.
Steak sandwich seemed to have cheaper steak than last visits , cappuccino was Luke warm, egg Benedict was very nice , service was very good ,
The Ivy lived up to our high expectations with great food and atmosphere
I feel I’ve been to better places. The decor and layout was lovely, it had a good feel to it. My dish was great but my friend had chicken and it arrived only just warm. There was a long gap between starter and main and there was no offer of condiments, consequently we had nearly finished by the time a waiter came past to ask if everything was ok.
Booked afternoon tea for me and my daughter for her birthday. We really enjoyed the setting and the food. Service was great and they brought out a small cake and candle for my daughter which was a nice touch. we are planning on going back.
We waited 40 mins for our first course and nobody within that time told us that there was delay! When we ordered a bottle of wine we had to wait as it wasn’t cold enough and they didn’t want to serve it until it had cooled a bit more! No complimentary drinks were offer whilst we waited!
We had a lovely time.
The staff were brilliant, as was the food and the choices
The poor position of the table we were offered on arrival, having made a reservation several days earlier. Eventually the staff member found us a more attractive table. There should have been no need for this.
The poor state of the ladies’ toilet seats lets the restaurant down. They weren’t installed properly when we came earlier in the year, and have not been fixed since. Not what one expects from a top restaurant .
However we are still quite likely to return.
What a lovely place to go for a treat. Everything about our lunch was exceptional. Thank you
We had a lovely brunch, staff where very friendly and the atmosphere was great. Accommodated my 9 month old and the staff where playful with him. Definitely value for money. Decor throughout was amazing and the ladies toilet decor was absolutely gorgeous! We’ll be back!!!
Always amazing food, very friendly staff and lovely background music too. I do prefer to be upstairs but it’s not always open.
Lovely food but shocking service AGAIN Waited 45 minutes for our food and 50 minutes for our first drink from ordering. They really need to sort out their service issues
Great service, great food, great surroundings, a most enjoyable experience, thanks guys
There was nothing particularly bad about the experience but I honestly can't say that this was a special visit.
The atmosphere was severely lacking due to their being hardly any other customers within the restaurant (obviously not the Ivy's fault).
Food was good but again nothing breathtaking about it and I was a little bit disappointed by the choice on the menu.
Sorry Ivy - I really wanted to love you but I wasn't blown away.
Just wasn’t what we were expecting! Not the best service, not the best food and just not a good experience overall.
Just the best place to eat . Gorgeous food served by elegant and very polite staff in opulent surroundings . Definitely our favourite restaurant . Ps ice cream sundae is a real treat 😄
Excellent food and excellent service. Very enjoyable evening.
Can’t recommend enough! Been twice in quick succession and it was great both times
Beautiful night for my birthday
Staff were excellent
Food to die for
Everything is run on a tight rein
Music brilliant too
Lovely food and service but tables of 2 too close together
The service was excellent at first but I think there was a shift change so when we finished our meal no one cleared our plates for over 30 mins until I managed to get someone’s attention, and then we had to wait for the bill and some change. I have visited before and I haven’t had this experience so perhaps it was just unfortunate.
Welcome on arrival was very friendly and we were promptly shown to our table upstairs. The restaurant had A peaceful ambiance, service was slick and very professional and not at all pretentious. Cocktails and food were excellent, the monkfish and prawn curry excellent. Thank you we will be back !!
Fantastic seafood, attentive & knowledgeable staff. Quite expensive, but probably worth it.
The restaurant is bright, colourful and stylish. I love to go there for the ambience and the quality of the food. As with my previous visits, the service was disappointing. On this occasion our main courses arrived but were barely tepid so we sent them back. The plates arrived fifteen minutes later with fresh meals which were piping hot. We received complimentary coffees for the inconvenience. After asking for bill four times, we were then impressed that the cost of the desserts had also been removed. These were nice gestures but personally I would rather have had better service and paid the full price.
It was our first time at The Ivy in Leeds and we weren’t disappointed . Everything was just great . All the staff were lovely and made our dining experience very special . The decor is superb too . Also the bikes outside for Tour de Yorkshire were “blooming” marvellous
