The Ivy Winchester Brasserie
With approximately 150 seats, guests will be able to enjoy the main restaurant and bar, as well as a Parisian-style terrace during the warmer months. The brasserie’s all-encompassing menus offers a wide selection of British classics and internationally-inspired dishes, from the iconic shepherd’s pie to the spoiling Champagne afternoon tea and Ivy Royale cocktail.
The Ivy Winchester Brasserie offers a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere, holding back a number of tables each day for locals, visitors and passers-by wishing to drop in at their leisure
The tables were quite close together but on the whole, a really nice and chilled environment to eat.
I visit several times but do feel there is mostly fish on the menu would like pasta and meat dishes
Will come again. The experience is always good. I will be back again Andrew Rowe
The food is great at the Ivy but this Sunday lunchtime noise levels with something else! Next time we visit will phone ahead and try and get a table in the corner. Will definitely be going again though .
Service started out good with starters arriving promptly. Our main course was then forgotten about and we were asked if we would like desserts. Obviously a mistake had been made and management were very apologetic and provided our full meal free of charge. Food was very tasty once it arrived. Had not had any issues on previous visits.
The wine bucket full of ice and a full bottle were poorly placed behind my guest which he proceeded to knock over when moving his chair back and we were charged for the bottle. It was an accident and the Ivy could have shown good grace and not added it to the bill. It was my wife's birthday and we were offered a glass of champagne with the inference that it was complimentary. It wasn't, so that added another £30 to the bill. The waitress serving wine poured white wine into my wife's tonic drink. We asked for the tonic to be replaced, which it was but £3.50 was added to the bill. I managed to get that item removed from the bill. The food was good but with all these issues, the bill was considerably more than I expected.
All three people in our group enjoyed the food hence clean plates .We could not fault anything the staff were all very pleasant and helpful despite the restaurant being very busy there was a nice ambiance.
Great food, atmosphere and service. The food was really tasty and offers a wide variety. Love the decor and great for family or friends.
Arrived slightly early so we headed inside and waited with a drink at the bar- excellent cocktails.
Our table was in a room at the back of the restaurant, a beautiful setting and much quieter than the main area. Service was prompt and helpful and our meals arrived together.
The food was delicious, we had a variety of dishes from salmon, chicken , burger and fish & chips - all excellent and great portion sizes.
Staff are very attentive and we would definitely come here again.
Very good choice of food especially as I am gluten free. Very friendly staff
Good food, friendly staff and really nice atmosphere particularly outside
Fabulous meal and night out with my girlfriends - staff fab and very friendly! Xxx
Vegetarian food was lovely. The service let them down. We waited for drinks to arrive and didn't have one with my meal. Need to have more staff if they want to offer 5 star service. The excuse was that it's Friday night and the bar was busy! Hhmmm not good enough
Was looking forward to trying The Ivy vegetarian shepherds pie as it is new to the menu. Unfortunately they had ran out so I opted for the mushroom risotto. Delicious food as always.
Lovely restaurant with nice ambiance. Excellent staff, very polite and attentive. Last visit was for brunch. Good size portions. One member of the party had the full vegetarian breakfast, myself and other member had eggs royale. Everything was nice but we all agreed the eggs were a little on the cold side. Other than that, it was a nice brunch.
Very friendly staff, kind and remembered it was my mothers birthday. Staff smiled and seemed genuinely happy.
The decor was very good. My meal wasnt particularly tasty, chicken dry. What put me off was the music, all I could hear was base. Table next to us a bit close and the person on nearby table very loud.
Customers should be aware of the noise of background music, the noisy bar and some noisy other customers....but our inside corner table was bearable. PMS
I love dinning at The Ivy when I’m in London and I’m was delighted to see this gem down Hampshire way when I visited Winchester for a day out. The ambience as always is splendid and the food never fails to impress (had the afternoon tea) and of course the service is impeccable! I will make sure to pop in when I’m back to Winchester
Excellent service and wonderful experience altogether. Will definitely return.
Great experience from start to finish. Food and service exemplary
My chicken breast was very dry . we didn’t find the seats comfortable .
Pleasant ambience and a fun place to eat although the menu would benefit from updating.
The Instance you enter the Restaurant you are greeted at the front and shown to your table. The waiter then greets you and tells you his or her name and that they will be looking after you for your meal. The food was very good and I would recommend your restaurant to friends.
The only downside for me was the noise level when we arrived but once we had been there for a while the noise did not seem so bad.
Service first class
Could not fault it
Took my daughter out for brunch for her birthday. We had a wonderful time. Service was excellent, food was superb. Couldn't fault it. Have booked to come for my "special" birthday in November.
An excellent venue for a reunion. Very helpful and polite staff. Great food and comfortable surroundings
Not sure if I would recommend . Starter was good but main course was disappointing, bland and uninteresting.
Usual excellent service and superb food. Highly recommended - although not not to much that we can no longer book a table!
excellent service, friendly staff and food very good
Great food and great relaxed and friendly service. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and try the experience was very special
The Ivy in Winchester really is top notch. All the food was amazing and the service by Daisy was perfect making it the perfect experience for my birthday. I can't wait to return!
Very good meal with friends. Lovely staff and great food.
Great food , service and atmosphere
The food was delicious (as always); but despite there being lots of waiting staff they were not as attentive as usual. some of our group had afternoon tea some had brunch - lovely to have the choice then had to ask again for milk. Had to ask for condiments....... had to ask for spoons to eat little pots of trifle.
It's always the little things that make a BIG difference.
However, everything was always bought to the table with a smile but really shouldn't have to ask for the basic things.
But we will go back, because the food is FAB!!
We visited The Ivy for afternoon tea. The food was ok but not fantastic and we found it very noisy.
It was nice and clean the service was good though not as good as hoped especially considering the prix unfortunately however it was slow especially when bringing out side dishes to our main which were slowly getting cold-it’s quite cramped if your situated by the bar area.
Best place for Sunday brunch, great menu and excellent fresh grapefruit juice.
Although the service and ambiance was great, the food is a real let down. My starter was cold, lamb was luke warm and vegetables rock hard. Not what you would expect from the brand and for the prices. Would have gotten a better meal at half the cost at a nearby Castro pub!
So welcoming. Amazing knowledge of food. Great atmosphere and staff are very friendly. The food was delicious as expected.
