Celebrating a friends birthday. We both had the Peruvian chicken which was delicious. Best service in any Ivy we’ve been to so far (Kensington, Guildford, Marlow)! Fantastic lunch - thank you!

the restaurant knew it was a special occasion, 60th birthday, but the initial table we were allocated was one of the poorest. stuck round a corner shoehorned in next to another table of 4. To be fair we were moved to a much nicer table when we requested but why wasn't this done to start with. The food was, as usual, very good but on this occasion the bowls were stone cold and my shepherds pie was not even luke warm. Big disappointment. wine also rather pricey at £30 for the house........ Oh, and writing this review through open table....bit of a joke really...as is trying to contact the restaurant if you're going to be a few minutes late.

I was very impressed with my first visit to the Ivy The food was very good value for the three course set menu. Staff were very friendly and efficient. I would recommend too friends and family.

Waiters although polite do not always write down your order and it goes wrong. Eg. Order for skinny late and got semi skimmed . Ordered sourdough toast and got granary
