Takeout From The Keg

This reservation was made weeks before my booking however when we turned up for dinner we were advised that the menu had been revised/reduced by over 1/2 & not the same as is reflected on the OpenTable app. This information `should' have been provided prior to us turning up so that we're given the choice of whether to cancel our reservation or not. Not wait until Xmas day to do so. This ruined our who evening as we were stuck for alternative places to eat at such short notice. Sadly we won't be dining here again as this location gives The Keg name & brand a very bad name. Do better!
Server was wonderful and attentive. Everything else was subpar sadly.
The service was terrible one steak was chard on the end. No refills on water or pop. The vegatables were so hard we thought we broke a tooth. Very disappointed the Keg is usually much better
Wonderful service and they accommodated our sitting requests.
Another nice evening at the Jeg Niagara , Natalie was great
the perfect restaurant for every one visit Niagara falls for dinner.
verry.
Big portions, nice view of the falls. They rush you too much, we didn't finish our food and waitress was with our bill already.
Good place for date night, food takes some time to come out, drinks are really good. Cant go wrong...
Very good food, just a little bit of waiting to be seated and to get the food on the table.
Food quality is very good. Hard to get the fallsview tables and it can get pretty loud during weekend dinners
Great food! We made the reservations several days before and we got there for our 2:30pm reservation a little early to ensure a spot by the window..
But we were told that because we were 5 people they couldn’t seat us by the window, so we disappointed with that. Other than that, always enjoy the food there & the great service.
Had 2 back to back weekends here. Worst Keg experience both times. I’m still shaking my head. Can’t believe it. Oh well. The manager helped out in the end. Remember everyone. See the manager ASAP soon as something goes wrong. They will fix it. Keep an eye on service and quality and compliance of your order. Almost is not what your paying for.
I've been a Keg fan for years but have noticed a significant decline in the overall quality of food and accuracy of the orders for the last number of years. Almost every time I have been now, the steaks are never cooked to what was ordered. The Keg always takes care of customers when they mention any issues so their customer service is great but it's just unfortunate that this occurs over and over to the point where one has to decide if it is worth complaining about anymore or just reconsider going to another restaurant. That's kind of where my wife and I are right now. Also...$12 for a bowl of French onion soup is pretty steep.
We had a gift card to use up .. so just ordered nachos and sliders .. we were pleasantly surprised ..
There was nothing special, not even a happy Birthday wish. The bread was terrible, the steak was tough, the sauces Béarnaise and peppercorn were sweet and gross. It was over priced for what it was. I didn’t even eat 5% of my meal, never been so disappointed with the keg. Although the keg is a chain restaurant, it doesn’t taste or usually feel like it. This was like a terribly overpriced, chain restaurant experience.
Wedding anniversary

I stated when I made reservations that it was our anniversary. I was surprised that we were not offered anything. We’ve been there multiple times for our anniversary & were pleasantly surprised to be presented with a slice of cake. This time nothing at all.
Secondly, there was a table across from us that had been used prior to our arrival & no one came over to clean it for quite some time. Not something we cared to look at while we had dinner. There was food all over the tables and floor.
The Keg team was very polite and we felt extremely safe dining in during COVID-19. There is plexiglass installed between most tables and hand sanitizer everywhere. They seated us with a Fallsview as per the request when booking and were very apologetic that the fog was heavy and there effectively was no view. The food, as always, was consistent and delicious. Thank you to all who made our visit extra special
Service was not up to usual high Keg standards. Didn't honour window request reservation even though 3 window tables became available within 10 minutes of seating us and were given to non reservations guests. Server was slow and not as attentive as you usually receive from the Keg.
Birthday celebration for our son
This was the worst Keg experience I’ve ever had. Slow service, no prime rib or Billy Miner Pie. What is a Keg experience without the two? It took 10 minutes to have someone even come to our table, another 10 minutes for our drinks and it wasn’t even busy. We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary as we do every year and this was a huge disappointment. I honestly wanted to get up and leave. Only good thing about dinner was the view of the falls.
Went for a birthday dinner. Was no even asked if we wanted dessert, dining room looks very worn, potatoes were cold and did not taste as good as usual. Side with the prime rib was mushrooms and a tomato slice with melted cheese. Definitely not worth the amount of money they charge. Use to love the keg. Will not be in a rush to return.
The Keg Niagara is always a great time. Food is impeccable and the service is always so delightful. Even during covid, the servers do such a good job making sure you're comfortable.
Great food and service, waitress very helpful and kind, we were at second roll from the window and could see the falls. A little bit high price but was worthy. We come to this place everytime when visiting Niagara Falls.
First steak was overcooked... asked for a medium rare, got a medium well. By the time I got the second steak, everyone around me was done eating and was waiting on me. Manager didn’t offer to comp anything... disappointing overall.
Anniversary
Great wine and food and service
Made reservation at Embassy specifically to have 50th Anniversary dinner at the Keg. We made reservations and got confirmation but when we got there the resturant was closed. The least they could have done was give us notice as I made the reservation in the morning. Not impressed! Really ruined our getaway!
Views were great, we were very fortunate to have a table right next to the floor to ceiling windows overlooking the falls. The service was just ok. Felt like the server was new as he forgot to bring us our utensils and we were just sitting there staring at our food. I ordered steak frites and I revived a top sirloin (wasn’t the end of the world), even when the waiter put my plate down he said “here’s your steak frites” and then quickly corrected himself to say top sirloin because it wasn’t frites on my plate, although he obviously remembered that I ordered the frites, again not the end of the world. As for portions, I felt they were small because it was just the steak and mashed potatoes on my plate. Usually there is some sort of vegetables included in your meal, typically asparagus, to at least add colour to the plate/make it look more full. But there was nothing. Seemed a little odd. Overall, was an okay experience. Don’t think I would pay to go back, especially considering the prices are inflated And portions are smaller compared to other Kegs
It was the best experience and the food tasted GREAT !
Very disappointed in our dinner, quality has gone down significantly since the sale to Cara Foods. Second time a row we have been disappointed, will not be giving it another try..
Service was poor also, not terrible but not good either.
Food size has diminished and prices have increased, I have no issue paying top dollar for good food, this not in that category.
Sad to see used to be a good meal, sorry they had to sell out.
Will not be a returning customer.
Prime rib was well done.
We had our Mini-moon dinner there overlooking the falls. It was beautiful!
Amazing service amazing food
Had a view of the falls from our booth. Food was delicious as always at The Keg.
Beautiful view of the falls. Great service. Had sirloin. All guests had them done to their liking. Good local wines on menu.
Waiting a long time for our dinner. Based on the up charge to eat in Niagara along with the lack lustre food and service we won’t be back.
I have a severe allergy to protein in milk and when I visit the keg I usually have a manager Come to my table to review what I have ordered and suggest substitutions if required. This is so appreciated for someone whose allergy is very serious however I did not speak to a food manager during my visit to the embassy suites keg Sunday March 8 so the waitress had many trips back to the kitchen to check on the ingredients and preparation of my food .
Opentable reservation was not received by the Staff. We had to wait 45 mins for a table to open up. How were we not on their reservation list????! This was for our anniversary and we were late for our 9pm concert at Fallsview Casino.
The Keg was amazing yet open table did not do the reservation which was a huge disappointment as it was our anniversary and we got confirmation from open table.
