We were afforded a very warm welcome by our hosts and were talked through the menu options for those of our party who had dietary needs. Very attentive to their needs and a nice menu available, not such a choice that you need all night to read through it, but varied enough to cater for all. I am no wine buff, so didn't even look at the wine list, but the cotes du Rhone our guests ordered was deemed perfectly satisfactory. We all went for starters, main courses, desserts and tea/coffee to finish. Each course was beautifully presented and although I can only vouch for how good mine was, everyone was very happy with their choice. The same could be said of the main courses and desserts. I was pleased to see cheese being offered on the dessert menu (at a similar cost to "normal" desserts) and was very pleased with it when it came! Overall, it was a delight to have been able to eat at the Kings Head. Definitely a place one would go to treat friends or indulge yourself for a special occasion. It was not your usual "pub grub" and well worth the extra money. I note that the next page of questions asks things about which I have no experience, so don't take the lack of ticks to mean they don't meet the mark. Merely that I had no reason to think about them!

We had a lovely lunch here on Saturday. The ham in the ham egg and chips was superb with a Smokey taste, and the chicken and leek pies excellent. Well located for a walk afterwards. We’ll be back.

A warm welcome from all the staff we saw. Great choice of local gin. The beer was rated too. Table overlooking the garden which was looking fabulous in the e vein g light. Recommend wine was loved by all of us. The starters were perfect. Well presented. The White onion soup highly praised. Mains followed with the right gap between courses. We all choose different plates. All perfect. Duck special was perfectly cooked. Steak was impressive. We chose a cheese board for two which was very well presented and an excellent sticky toffee pudding which would have been enough to share.

We cleared our plates, very tasty, mouth left tingling with a variety of flavours. Lovely location, worth taking the time before to walk around and explore the village and countryside. Recommend you enjoy this place whilst it's this good!

We were delighted to find that the Kings Head had reopened and had been modernised in such a nice way. The dining area upstairs overlooking the garden is very special, particularly on a nice day when the bifold doors are open. The garden has also been very cleverly landscaped and replanted making it one of the nicest pub gardens I can think of. The Sunday lunch did not disappoint either. I had thought the smoked salmon might be the same as everywhere else but found it was subtly smoked pieces off a steak. A must to have if you have a starter. The roast sirloin beef was excellent and generous. We will return soon hopefully

Lovely pub with accommodation in the heart of the Surrey Hills. We had a very enjoyable dinner with two very good beers, including an excellent Harvey's Sussex. Food was a notch above the usual pub fayre and well worth its AA Rosette, Will be going back again soon.

Excellent tucked away little gem. Stunning refurb of a classic pub with a real focus on the food. Beautiful inside and out with well judge decor and idillic beer garden. The staff are great, friendly but not overbearing. Excellent food, generously portioned. Very much a recommend.

Roast dinner was lovely, big and tasty chicken and plenty of potatoes but personally I would rather have more veggies and no Yorkshire. The carrots and cabbage and side of cauliflower were not really enough to balance out the meat and potatoes.

We had a table overlooking the garden, which was a lovely spot. The menu was interesting - a cut above normal pub choice - and the food was good but could have been better. The lamb chop was ordered pink but came quite undercooked; not helped with being quite fatty. The profiteroles filled with pistachio cream were great but crying out for some chocolate sauce! Service was friendly and the place had a nice atmosphere.
