So I have eaten here around 4 times now, but brought my friend along for the first time. We both really enjoyed the food, such a fantastic choice and well presented! Tasted even better 🙂
I booked a table for my sister's birthday as the restaurant has been recommended to me. However we were placed on a table at the front door that was cold and very impersonal. We could not be moved therefore we left without eating.
Just love this place! The food, the atmosphere and the music. Staff are knowledgeable and attentive, the place is a little unique cosy space. Love it
Amazing as always, love the flavour combinations and everything is always cooked spot on.
Fantastic service and amazing food. Will be going back very soon.
This restaurant always delivers. Fabulous food in a friendly setting.
Second time at The Kitchen, and again the food: service and ambience were great. Our waitress was very attentive without being intrusive and we had a really enjoyable night. The Kitchen is the best thing to happen to Westhoughton for years.
Would really recommend The Kitchen. Great food, good value and feel like your custom is also valued. Very welcoming by the owner. Cant wait to go back
Good food . Service was to quick seemed to being rushed
Lovely meal. Music a tad loud but was turned down. Excellent food and service. Waitress very attentive.
This is one restaurant that I highly recommend, everything about it just ouzes perfection, the food, drink, atmosphere, vibe and service. Westhoughton are lucky to have such a hidden gem on their doorstep. Hope you enjoy as much as me and my family do.
The food was outstanding and service was excellent. Will definitely be back. Thank you
Disappointing lack of Greek authenticity. Very minimalist inside with no frills. Scruffy infact - certainly not 'boutique' as the website describes.
No table cloths, just bare tables, even a paper taverna style table cloth would make you feel like your were in a restaurant.
The photos on the website are rather flattering.
Decor does not reflect that of a Greek restaurant and the menu isn't really Greek either, save the odd dish such as chicken souvlaki.
E.g - No Stifado, kleftiko, Briam, Tsigari, Bekri Meze, etc
The pork was pork belly, small portions at £14. A better option would be a Greek style grill room where a plateful of spit roast pork with chips costs less than a tenner.
Bottle of Retsina was £20 - it's the same Retsina they sell off the shelf in Sainsburys for £5.75 https://bit.ly/2xkgpad
Unfortunately the overall scruffiness of the place means that it wasn't worth £75 for a two course meal with bottle of Retsina.
Another fantastic meal at The Kitchen, looking forward to our next visit!
Once again a 5* experience.Great place, great food, great people and chips with runny egg😃
All good, especially food.
Only gripe was a large glass of Rose was very small for £7
Wonderful tasty food and great portion sizes. Intimate and cosy but comfortable setting.
The food and service were both great. Would love them to develop a menu for drinks.
Went to The Kitchen on Saturday night with my husband after lots of recommendations and we weren’t disappointed. Fantastic food with a great atmosphere & at a great price. Will definitely be coming back again.
Fantastic restaurant! Super staff
Great tasty food.
Brilliant food. Really good service. Great atmosphere. Really good experience.
Tasty bite with the Greek twist reminder of holidays gone by
Amazing food served in the garden area! Truly felt like we was on holiday! A lovely little
Restaurant on our doorstep
Such a great place to spend a birthday celebration truely felt looked after and cared for service was excellent and food was amazing
After hearing nothing but positive reviews from my nail clients, we were not disappointed when we went!
The food was amazing
I have been several times and the food is excellent every time and the menu is varied with specials options too.
However on this occasion - friends get together, we booked via open table for 6.30pm, nowhere on the booking does it say you have limited time at your table, the first we knew our table had been booked again was at 7.50pm when the waitress told us our table was booked again at 8pm. We had just ordered cocktails to have after our desserts and were asked to have our drinks downstairs at the bar, which isn’t really a bar but where people wait to be seated and the kitchen is. Having sat at the bar, one of our group was asked to get up as there’s storage under the seating and the waitress needed something.
I will go back as the food is fantastic but I will ensure the table isn’t booked again so we are not rushed.
Another excellent meal at 'the kitchen'
Sat in the heated outdoor area which is very pretty.
Second time at The Kitchen and yet again amazing! The staff go above and beyond and the food is amazing!
Great food, lovely atmosphere, will definitely be visiting again.
Brilliant food! Cannot recommend it enough. This was our first trip and we will definitely come back!
Lovely menu. I went on Weds where it is 2 courses for £15. Excellent value for money. Lovely fresh ingredients and the Gin menu was lovely. I’ve been 7-8 times now, best place to eat in Westhoughton.
Very disappointed with the whole experience expensive
Superb. Been 5 or 6 times not had anything to change this view. Consistently excellent.
Just love the place. Pleasant, enthusiastic staff (& chef !) with authentic Greek food - either as junky or as healthy as you feel like. Lovely cosy atmosphere - a real gem - just what Westhoughton needed.
It's the kind of place that makes me smile when I think of it.
Lovely meal for daughters engagement waitress and staff were lovely
Excellent food and service I would and have recommended the kitchen to others
As usual fantastic food and fantastic service. We dined outside in the new garden which was beautiful. Love eating at The Kitchen. The owners take pride in their business and always have time to make you feel special.
Lovely authentic food v tasty and decent portions. Music was a little loud for us but overall a great bustling atmosphere. Would definitely return to try other dishes. We had lamb and courgette to start and pork bellies and pork cheek as main. Fries were deliciously tasty and salad was superb !
House wine was ok . Cocktails were a bit pricey at £8 and slightly bland ( elderflower and prosecco special). Good attentive service throughout!
The service was great , the staff were very friendly and attentive, the food was absolutely amazing , we ate in the secret garden at the back of the restaurant , it is really nice !!!!
Will definitely be returning here and would highly recommend it !!!!
Dynamic and modern Greek/Mediterranean food. The owners have an obvious passion for what they do. Attentive staff make the restaurant really welcoming. The new outdoor eating area is lovely and decorated to give a relaxing experience. Definitely a gem.
