Usually it’s better than it was this visit. Food was bland, waitress seemed in a bad mood. Wasn’t rude just seemed to be going thru motion.
Overall a good experience. Great lakeside views. Two couples in our group. The ladies enjoyed the slots for a while. We ended up sitting at the bar for dinner, as the chairs at the table were visually pleasant but had a protruding decorative metal rail across the top of the the chair back.
I couldn't imagine being able to relax in those chairs, so we were accommodated at the bar. The bartender was excellent. Food was far better than expected. We will return but hoping they change the dining room chairs!
Asked for a regular table thru Open Table. Got high top table which is uncomfortable. music was blaring over our heads. Asked for another table and was told they were all reserved. I had a reservation for a regular table but that didnt matter I guess. food was good but not comfortable at all. May not return again.
Great little restaurant, can’t wait to visit in the summertime when the patio and bar are open outside.
The staff at the Lake House is caring and kind. It was a pleasure spending the afternoon with my husband enjoying great food and drinks while being seated in a beautiful area with a view of the lake.
We had a wonderful lunch..scallop special was fabulous as was the haddock sandwich...the creme brûlée was the best I ever had!! And the service couldn’t have been better!
It was a nice brunch. Our server was very good. Enjoyed it. Can’t wait until the weather gets better and you can sit outside again.
Our dinner was awesome! We enjoyed every bit of it. Food was delicious!
Our first time here and definitely will be back. Quickly seated, service was good and food delicious.
We were close by and decided to check out the Lake House on a frigid, snowy winter Friday evening. It was busy! We made reservations on Open Table and our table was ready and waiting for us when we arrived early. Looking for a low carb options, I ordered the grilled veggie wrap. It was very tasty and satisfying. I actually ate only the filling out of the second half because I was getting full and it was just as good that way! My husband had the fried fish sandwich. It was sizable and he really liked it. Sweet potato fries were hot and served with a really yummy dipping sauce. Our waitress was a sweetie. Friendly, good service! We'll go back!
Staff was terrific. we arrived a little early and they were able to seat us. Food was outstanding, we had brunch.
It was our first time there. Every aspect of our visit was great.
Prime rib and maple chicken were amazing! Lavender lemon drink was to die for!!! Our waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. The view from our table was amazing, we experienced a beautiful sunset! Definitely worth the drive!!
Beautiful setting to sit and enjoy a great breakfast.
Beautiful room and view of Oneida Lake. Service was good, the manager even came to the table to speak with us. Food was very good and nice prepared. We both had the fancy coffees and they were very plain tasting and not worth the $7 per cup. overall a good experience and we will be back.
Music was too loud. No need to scan personal information on driver's license. For identification it is okay.
The chef asked use how it was , that was cool, great food every time we eat there .
We arrived a little early, and found seats at the bar on Valentine’s Day. The bartender Kyle was very attentive. The food was amazing, I would recommend.
They made our Valentines Day meal special. Severs were nice and always helpful. I really appreciate the extra work that they did during the meal and the little details they put into the the special Valentines Day four course meal. Food was fantastic and we really enjoyed all the food that was prepared. The staff took covid seriously and were sanitary in their preparation. The staff were also nice enough to offer to redo a dish after it was overcooked a bit(asked for medium but got it medium-well done). Really loved the place and would definitely recommend!
A quality Valentines Day dinner experience. The 4 course meal selections were outstanding especially for the price. The Federal (California) Cab was excellent considering the price. Truly an outstanding experience.
Went for the Valentines Day meal. Outstanding! Every course was delicious & presented nicely. Service could not have been better. The rose for my wife was an extra bonus!
I didn’t realize the restaurant was also a Casino. There were slot machines when you walk in the main door. The music and machines were loud.
The restaurant overlooks the lake. We went on Valentine’s Day, so there was a limited menu. The food was very good. However, the steak was smothered in a bernaise sauce. It was good, however had I known, I would have asked for the filet without it. The only other complaint was that the asparagus was over cooked. Otherwise, everything else was delicious.
Also, they gave me a beautiful pink rose for the occasion.
We will go back this summer to sit out on the deck.
The experience was outstanding, from the unique drinks to the gourmet menu. The service and atmosphere were exceptional. From our quiche Loraine to our lobster pot-pie it could not have been more delicious. The value for a gourmet brunch was very reasonable. I would recommend the Lake House to anyone looking for a great dining experience.
The service was very prompt and personable. Our server was very attentive. Food was cooked to perfection.
This was our first time having brunch. Our reservation was for 10:00 a.m. on a Sunday. This experience was significantly different from our prior experiences at the Lake House, because we had only ever been for dinner. At dinner time there are definitely more people, more noise, longer waits but that is all to be expected. For brunch it was a completely different environment, very calm, laid back, not as noisy. Our food was amazing. We were very impressed with the quantity and quality of food for the price. We would highly recommend anyone looking for a good breakfast/lunch on the weekends, should definitely check it out! We will most definitely be back.
The quality of food was excellent. I was not expecting a special Valentine’s Day menu on 2/13 though. I wish I knew that ahead of time. The limited options were varied enough but I had my mind set on something else when I viewed the menu on Open Table.
Outstanding restaurant, staff were awesome, food was phenomenal and overall experience was second to none.
Our lunch at the Lake House was delicious. Our server woman was so friendly and attended to our needs with a huge smile. She was a pleasure! Will definitely recommend to my friends and will most definitely go again.
Have been in the summer and sitting outside was a true delight.
First trip to the lake house. Will definitely go back. Food was outstanding and so were all the staff we interacted with!
Great food, nice ambience except for loud from slot area .
I was there for the Sunday Brunch the number of choices was good. I chose the Eggs Benedict which was very good and tasty.
We were sat in a reasonable time frame at the perfect table. Then things went downhill. The chocolate raspberry liquor coffee was tasty but lukewarm and we had to use the straws from our water to blend in the whipped cream because there was no spoon. It was a short wait to receive our dishes and they looked beautiful. The quiche had a delicious pastry bowl and looked pretty as a picture, however the filling was so salty we could not eat it. The stuffed french toast was entirely inedible. The carmalized bananas were terrible. I don't even know how to describe the dish. There was no banana flavor just a lingering burnt sugar aftertaste left on my palate. The nutella filling was so pervasive it seemed like they used a whole jar. I don't know if they skimped on the egg dredge for the french toast, or maybe they just skipped that step altogther. We were so dissapointed. Considering the 4 hour round trip I tried to salvage the day by finishing with a strawberry mimosa. It looked beautiful as everything we were served yet was horrible to taste. Even my strawberry garnish had a spot of mold on it. We have a policy of not complaining but I almost said something to complete strangers that sat down and ordered the strawberry mimosa and stuffed french toast to tell them to just walk away. On side note the waitress's mask kept sliding down and exposing her nose. Hope we don't get COVID from her as a bonus with our terrible brunch.
Visited for brunch....quiche excellent...Eggs benedict ...wonderful. did not enjoy juice..
Very nice waitress.
The Sunday brunch was very nice. We had a couple of cocktails and a nice 3-egg combo with meat and home fries. The food was delicious and the drinks were as well. Reasonably-priced. The staff was very friendly as well.
We sat for a while before they even came to ask us what we wanted to drink. I was getting ready to leave. Then our food took forever to come as well. Other than that it was nice
The evening special was fantastic! We ordered appetizers as well, tasty clam chowder. Enjoyed our view of the ice fishing on the lake
The overall experience was great. This was our first visit to the Lake House.
The staff were all very friendly and the food was very good !! Everything was priced very reasonably.
The ambiance was very relaxing. We will definitely be going back again
Went for brunch great view and delicious food with lots of great options
Servers and staff were very good. Food was good and prices were reasonable.
