Excellent food in a cozy pub setting. Both the quiche and the chicken and mushroom pie were very good. I have had lots of mediocre food in pubs lately and was very pleasantly surprised by this one. The food was good, the service was friendly and efficient. I will certainly return.

A lovely quiet Cotswold pub with warm welcome, friendly service and tasty food. We booked for 10 including a baby for lunch mid afternoon after a visit to the wildlife park. Highly recommend.

There was little atmosphere; the food was only moderate; service was fair; overall not memorable

A bit out of the way (5 miles outside of Burford!) but friendly and did well serving out large and unfocused group!

The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. This really is a local gem and I always recommend it to my guests who stay in my holiday cottages. The food is great and I could have chosen anything off the menu so will have to go back again just to try something else. We had friends who had been with us before and they were very happy to be there again one year on. Dogs are also welcome. You really must try this pub as it is the least pretentious of all the eating places in the locality and the food is always good.

The Lamb inn offered a good menu choice in a lovely setting of traditional Cotswold masonry. The prices were good for the amount of food you received, and it was very tasty. The waitresses were very helpful, it did take a while to get the bill though and had to ask multiple times.

A few more mins your head signs or softened door frame edges for the taller among us wouldn’t go a miss.

The waiter was very young, nervous and didn’t have a notepad or a particularly good memory.
The food took quite awhile to arrive. It was tasty and hot.
There were candles everywhere but not lit (perhaps they don’t bother on a Monday evening?)
The music was some sort of rap/house music? At least the volume was low.
It wasn’t suited to the clientele.

The atmosphere was non existent. my Wife and I sat in a poorly lit room - alone.
The soup - leek and potato was not nice, and my wife's chicken dish had to be sent back as there was blood in the chicken.
Prices are not cheap, and the food is not of a good quality.

An olde world pub with super service from the barmaid. Easy to park. Lovely outside area. All let down by a disastrous meal. The raw liver was inedible. Neither was it cheap. (£14 for raw liver, standard mash, and unexciting bacon.)
Would go again for the friendliness and service, but never for the food.

Very tasty food in a cosy setting, staff are friendly - our meal took a while to come, but the large family party in the restaurant may have been a contributory factor here.

If I lived here - I wouldn’t hesitate in making this my ‘local’

The Open table booking was an excellent innovation. As it was a beautiful warm evening we ate an outside table.
Service was excellent. My sea bass was beautifully cooked and presented, it was also at an excellent temperature.

They knew nothing about the booking!
Service was slow with only one person doing everything despite not a huge number of people dining

Lovely Pub to drive out to for an evening meal. I would recommend for anyone who hasn't been to The Lamb yet to have a little drive out and have dinner with friends or your partner.
Friendly atmosphere with a locals vibe

I visited The Lamb on new years Eve. The staff were friendly efficient and courteous. The food was great with a reasonable selection - everything we ordered arrived promptly and was high standard and nicely presented. Very much enjoyed our visit and we will be returning.

Overall food was very good, but such a poor vegetarian selection (only one starter and main) which was a pity as we had taken our vegetarian son there as a treat while he was staying with us. Sticky toffee pudding was also a disappointment as was way too salty- both sponge and butterscotch sauce. However, service was friendly and good and we were made to feel very welcome.

We were a group of six, 4 locals and 2 visitors who booked last minute. We all said how good the meal was and that we would definitely go again. The staff were friendly and the menu was one of those that you could have eaten everything on it so will have to go back again to try something else. The puddings were great and all in all it was a lovely evening. Not pretentious in any way as so many of the local pubs are getting, just real honest food and service.

Food was good but the cost for 9 people was ridiculous! almost £300!! Charged us £25 service charge because we were a table of 10 even though there was only 9 of us. Price for soft drinks is very expensive, £4 for a pint of lemonade is disgusting. Been a few times and always thought it was a lovely place to eat and socialise, but don't think we will be going back after that.

When we arrived they did not know of our booking but we were welcomed warmly.
We thought we might be disappointed but nothing could have been further from the truth. We had the most superb meal with friendly service and lots of laughter. Virtually everything was homemade and the sticky toffee pudding was the best I have ever tasted.
We would thoroughly recommend this pub restaurant to anyone who enjoys good well cooked food.

Had dinner on a Saturday evening which was fairly standard pub fare. Everything was fine but nothing outstanding, I had the lamb shanks which was smaller than usual but cooked well and a nice sauce. Staff were friendly and helpful but we thought at over £100 for two including drinks was pricey.

We had a fantastic lunch as normal, we haven't been for a couple of years and it didn't disappoint. A definate high point the staff were so helpful regarding my children's dairy allergy and they could choose what they would like off the menu for the first time ever! We will definitely be back. Thank you
