Ended up not eating here because when we arrived the menu is completely different to what is advertised on open table. The venue looks really nice but the menu was quite basic
We stayed at the hotel two nights so we had breakfast and dinner twice.
We expected more from a 4 star hotel as in quality.
The food was over priced for the quality.
The first night everything tastes poorly made and the portions were ridiculously small so kept ordering but never full.
Pasta was overcooked with and badly made sauce and pizza dough beside being frozen at the price of 12 pound was also raw white and tasted bad.
Everything else besides tiny portions was average.
Breakfast was surprisingly nice and rich so if you spend the night just stay for breakfast.
The staff worked very hard to give the best of the service.
Not the best meal we have had, the tables were not clean and the waitress was too chatty telling my grandson to “speak up when talking”.
The children’s buffet was not very well stocked especially the desserts, the menus were very dirty and it would of only taken a few seconds to give them a wipe over.
A little more care and attention to cleanliness would be great, overall not a great experience for the money.
We got our tea and then waited an hour for our food. That was only because we asked where it was. When it came out the sandwiches where starting to dry out. All the cakes were all very sweet and not very enjoyable at all. Not somewhere that I will go again.
Ok if youre staying at the Hilton and your only option is to eat at the hotel but its not worth making a special journey to eat here
Formica tables. Service was slow. We waited 45 mins for a steak.
Not blaming the staff as they were busy trying to do their best.
My wife didn't enjoy her steak as she said it was cold.
Food should have been cheaper for the environment
The restaurant for afternoon tea is absolutely fantastic. The staff are attentive and helpful. I also attended for dinner and breakfast and was impressed by the variety of food available and vegan options. Also the dinner staff and management are so helpful and the service is second to none! I will be returning
The staff were extremely friendly, the ambience was amazing, the food was really good and reasonably priced (we had a full 3 course meal plus drinks). Would definitely recommend.
Even though the food was good, did not feel it represented value for money, have eaten better food for less money elsewhere. Service was not fantastic, asked two different waiters three times for a jug of water and never received it. Lids food was awful, was cold and not at all good quality
Service was poor
Great service, great place. Really pleased with our choice as this was a birthday present and the recipient was also extremely happy.
Excellent food quality. We had trout and the roast chicken. Both very good.
Children's buffet was good but could have had a little more choice on the mains. Pizza, fish fingers, sausages but the idea is fantastic and our two love the exclusivity of it.
