Food was really delicious. Had bourbon BBQ burger which was big and indulgent. Chips were similar to McDonald's, which was good for us. Staff were below average, it was not clear if we should order from our table (and no one showed up) so I walked to the bar and barmaid shouted at me. Probably because of covid but it was really rude. After ordering, drinks didn't turn up for 20 minutes... Food came quite quickly and waitress was friendly but overall not a good experience with staff.

Hi
Great Food and Drinks.
Sunday roast was delicious
Bit disappointed that run out of Chicken so early
Only issue was the heat inside.
Recommend having air con.
Have to leave sooner then expected because of the heat.

But definitely would go back
Lovely place

I love this pub, however it was 34 degrees and they didn't have the air con on...

Also, the staff weren't really social distancing and we had elderly people with us who said it made them feel a little uncomfortable.

Great starters/small plates and the tacos were delicious.
Staff really friendly and welcoming.
Inside was well spaced to enable social distancing although we were lucky enough to enjoy the warm weather outside.
Definitely one of my favourites locally.

I was very nervous. This was our first meal out since lockdown. I need not have worried. Everything was spaced out well. Hand sanitizer available at the entrance and table service only made the whole experience very safe.
The food was excellent and the craft beers were delicious.
Our table was clean and waiting for us.
Thank you Leytonstone Tavern for a great experience.

Food was nice and would recommend the food but the service was Very disappointing because it very slow and not very inviting at all and quite miserable staff and we had to keep asking for things like a fork and knife and condiments and took ages to come and when so we could eat which took like 3-4 mins to provide as we had to ask someone else as food was going cold asked for replacement yorkshire which was bit burnt they brought out slightly undercooked flat Yorkshire as replacement.
Unsure if I would go again.

I'm sorry to say we had a bit of a disastrous time at the LT. It's not great for vegetarians, the food was cold and the service slow and unfriendly. It seems to lack good management and staff training. What it's great for is young families without dogs having a few drinks and snacks so if you're looking for that it's great.

When we came in the table that had been reserved for us was not pushed together, it was also dirty. When we asked for the table to be cleaned the lady got a damp cloth and just pushed the bits onto the floor. There was only two options for the children’s menu which was cheese burger or fish fingers to which my son didn’t want ether of these. My son and I ordered the buffalo chicken wings mine as a starter and his was as a main, when I got mine and started eating they were spicy which was not noted on the menu. When informing the lady could we change my sons dinner as there spicy she said buffalo sauce is spicy (well not that spicy) I said it should say this on the menu. She did come over and say chef won’t put the sauce on. We had the beef rib for main which was fatty and not cooked enough. My dad had the cheese burger which was over cooked. When asking for desert it was chocolate brownie and ice cream or ice cream. Which is not a selection at all. When we got the brownie it was a big slice with one small scope of ice cream and cold. Now it also says is it for a occasion on the website to which I put birthday, this would make you think that something special maybe done even just a candle in cake but no this was not the case. The lighting is poor the pub is not clean. The price is astronomical for the standards you get. Needs Proper pub grub and known beverages also for the people that know what they like. Ie foresters, hardys wine, peroni and carling.

Thanks for your feedback. We've just launched a new menu and are getting to know what the favourites are, so apologies on the shortage on the kids and dessert menu. All our food is made fresh on site so it's difficult to replace something quickly if it runs out. We try to use local craft beer suppliers as much as possible. We're always happy to put candles in desserts and have a good sing song, just let us know if this is something you'd like (not everyone does so we usually wait for the nod!).

A brilliant local run by passionate staff who are welcoming and provide a greaet atmostphere. Food is outstanding, though a fraction more than other local places. Range of beers, spirits and cocktails is very strong. More people need to find out about this palce.

The meal was arranged to celebrate my belated birthday. Unfortunately a number of dishes had already sold out and so there was minimal choice left.
My guests all enjoyed their food and I had to have a couple of starters rather than a main course and so I was a little disappointed however the team were very apologetic and I did get a free drink.

We went to the Leytonstone Traven for a double family birthday lunchtime celebration . Everything was fine but not outstanding . Food was OK if we thought a little overpriced for what it was -average pub food.
Little ambiance in the pub . It was child friendly which we appreciated as we had 2 small children with us .Staff were polite and service was good .

While there was some confusion with our order - and we were specific we were only ordering mains, one arrived, the other we had to wait for. And when the seafood dish arrived it was absolutely delicious and tasty, a tiny bit salty, but that’s a taste preference for me and I’d make sure I’d ordered accordingly for me. Mind you my friend thought it was too and her dish was the one which arrived first! But, despite that we did both enjoy it. And when my other friend arrived, her meal arrived very quickly and looked fantastic and she enjoyed it.

Despite this its still a lovely venue, which serves great food, despite this slight blip and the low score on service!

Eaten at The Leytonstone Tavern a number of times. Always had a fab experience. The food is classic yet innovative and it's clear there is a whole lot of love in making it - always well seasoned and presented. Ended the meal with a coffee which really hit the spot and really pleased they use a local East London roast!

The Tavern also gets 10/10 for service. Always very personable staff who really do go above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect. The table next to us knocked over their drinks and without missing a beat the staff brought over new ones (on the house) before cleaning up the spillage - that really impressed me - how customer service should be!
