Beautiful location next to the river. Great quality food and attentive but not overbearing service. Everything you need for a Sunday lunch. Would advise you to order extra veggies though. Not much on the plate. Beef brisket was sublime!

This is quite local to us and we visit every time my parents are staying with us as they love it. The food is always delicious and the staff are always friendly and attentive. Great place to visit even just for a drink to sit by the river and enjoy the view.

The Seabass was really lovely and a good size. Our guests had the fish pie and they found it a little dry as it had, seemingly, no sauce. The cheapest house white wine was £26, which is pretty high. The food charges were pretty standard. Services was good and the house staff are always friendly and helpful, although the usual 'check' to see if everything was alright wasn't made. The Lion is our local, so we always like to support it.

The food was as good as always, but unfortunately the service let the experience down. I had to go to the reception desk to find a waitress just to order drinks, and again later to order our puddings. It felt like the staff were either not interested in their work or poorly trained, which was disappointing.
