Will definitely return!!!! Wonderful food. Everything we had was top notch. Plus it is BYOB
Great food. Skate wing was really good. The specials are good too. Dessert too is good even though it's not on their menu.
Great small place, great food!
Absolutely amazing. This was the best meal weve had in years. Very intimate setting and the staff was so kind. My mom has a lot of food allergies and the chef was so accommodating. Coming back as soon as I’m in town again in a couple of weeks
A real quaint experience. Reminded me of a boutique restaurant in Brooklyn. Just wish I brought wine with me! This is byob place.
The food was exquisite.
Great unique flavor combinations. This is our new favorite restaurant.
Great meal. Food was A+
Fabulous as always!
The food and presentation were wonderful. Our server was engaging , attentive and fun. We can’t wait to go back.
Great food and great service. First time visit and will gladly return.
Out of all of the restaurants I’ve ever been to and probably will ever go to, this is no doubt, the absolute best. The food was unreal. Every dish we ordered was a 10/10. We had the deviled eggs, escargot, frog legs, chicken liver mousse, quiche, duck, chocolate mousse, and raspberry topped cheesecake. The flavor was beyond any expectation. The service was also phenomenal. Our waiter was so nice and he was very attentive. We can’t wait to go back!
The staff was very attentive and helpful, the chef came over to ask us our preference on a dish, and then explained it how he would prepare it. It was very nice nice of him to take time do that. The food was excellent, we had several items with the highlights being; Mushroom Toast, Steak Moutard, Chicken Coq au Vin, and the Pomme Frites.
Classic French food that is outstanding. Great to have a unique restaurant like this in suburban South Jersey.
Our meals were superb. The mushroom toast melted in your mouth. The pumpkin soup was a change from the typical bisque to a hearty broth with pieces of duck, potatoes and carrots. The halibut with fennel and olives was cooked to perfection Even the roasted asparagus had a dijon aioli that made it special. Finally, the show stopper of a dessert was the 20 layers of crepe with a delicious custard between the layers.
The food, service, and atmosphere were excellent. The value cannot be beat. We will be back and will happily recommend.
Loved the food! My halibut was excellent, so nice to have traditional French food.
Excellent food and service. So nice to have a French restaurant in the area. If they consider heat lamps for the colder weather that would be amazing!
First time to this restaurant. Friendly staff, noisy because we had outdoor dining on corner of busy streets. Food was tasty, nice presentation.
Great Food & great service! We had a reservation for an outside table and when rain was in the forecast the restaurant called us and move our table inside! I had the mushroom toast & the steak while the others had the salmon tart, we were all pleased. We will definitely come back!
This is certainly in competition among 4 or 5 South Jersey restaurants for the best. Most reviews mention that the only real problem is the air conditioning (off or on). The food, along with June BYOB, is a welcomed expansion in our area of traditional French cooking. The menu is small which may contribute to a higher quality. I had two specials when there, a country pate and cassoulet which was on the regular menu on the past. This type of pate is complex and it must be difficult to make. It's a very nice blend of assorted tastes. In the past I had cassoulet with a chicken leg. This was the traditional duck leg which makes it hearty tasting. Cassoulet is usually not considered haut cuisine but a more filling winter dish and these country specialties are particularly rare in our area and welcomed. The desserts were exceptional, particularly the chocolate pot de creme.
The new menu for fall left us excited, but challenged — there are so many appealing new dishes that none in our party of 3 could make easy choices. Little Hen never disappoints!
A lovely dining experience! Perfect place to celebrate someone special.
It was our first time at the restaurant and my wife and I truly enjoyed our experience. We were welcomed warmly and were seated at our table. Our server informed us of the specials for the evening and after a few minutes we ordered. There was a special pate" as an appetizer which was very delicious and I ordered the mushroom toast which was very tasty. We each ordered the Chicken Provencal and it proved to be exceptional. This place is a real gem and I highly recommend it.
Mushroom Toast started our outstanding experience! Loved every plate put in front of us!
Excellent French cuisine.
Chicken pate was divined.
Amazing Crème Brûlée
Always great! Can’t wait to be back next year! Looking forward to their experience.
Loved it! Chicken was amazing, texture and taste were fantastic. Skate wrong was really wonderful. Excellent cooking. Go, go ,gi
The service and food were excellent.
Starters, appetizers, entree, and desserts were all delicious.
The servers are knowledgeable of the menu and can easily make recommendations.
I cannot wait to return !
Quality French cuisine. A bit pricey, but market priced. Service very good. 2nd visit.BYOB an asset
Incredible French cuisine without the typical cost
We go there every month, and it's always great. Well-prepared food and high quality!
The Food is excellent. the service is friendly and on time.
Excellent food, great service.
Magnificent mushroom toast…the very best EVER!! Trout eggs over deviled eggs were outstanding. Great place for excellent French food!!!!
Friendly service, fantastic food. Can’t wait to go back!
Good was fantastic! Service was good. Decor was old, tired, and not so clean. The atmosphere could be so much more because the location and space is great. It doesn’t have to be fancy but needs a good cleaning and updating.
OMG a restaurant that's not Italian! (But the Italian places around here are just fine) This is a little taste of France and it's terrific. Small. Make a reservation. But the menu is great, with three sections: Partager (to share), Hors D'Oeuvres, and Entrees. There could maybe be another entree (there are just 4), but they cover most people's tastes. The Steak Frites is very good, cooked to order with a nice mound of French fries. The Chicken Provencal met with approval as well. For starters we had the chicken liver mousse and the mushroom toast. Thumbs up for both. And we actually took home parts of all the courses. The (only) server was very accommodating. Take the best bottle of wine you can and enjoy. Not our first visit and not our last.
The food is unbelievably delicious. Dont let the the decor to deceive you. We ordered the duck and it was prepared to perfection. Side of carrots and roasted redishes were the good additions.
