Nice lunch for mums birthday
It’s a wonderful place to go and eat or just a drink. I wasn’t a fan of the veggie burger pattie I chose but that was personal choice the steak was cooked to perfection and every single other element was perfect & delicious.
Incredibly slow service.
Soggy burgers not worth the wait!
As usual lovely food, friendly staff, great service and didn’t feel rushed at all. Would love a couple more chicken dishes. A++++*
A lovely atmosphere and a lovely setting, the food was delicious. All the staff were so friendly and very welcoming. We will definitely return and we will recommend The Locksbrook Inn to friends and family.
New year's eve meal. Service was friendly and prompt. Tables are well spaced and decor is cosy and comfortable. Food tasty, particularly the childrens tomato pasta and meatballs, often an afterthought but really rich and well flavoured.
Great food, good service and a friendly feel. Lovely place for lunch.
Brilliant that you can take your dogs in and gravy bones on the bar!
Awesome Christmas Eve meal with friends - greeted by Brad behind the bar really helpful service and a great smile!
Pizzas were the choice all round and such great value! Will be coming back again and again!
Wonderful ambiance with just the right amount of noise and very friendly staff. Delicious food and an exciting menu.
We always enjoy trips to this pub but the pub also really look after my dad who has Alzheimer’s and visits every day. We think the staff are amazing!
We were warmly welcomed on arrival and seated in the dining area. The menu was varied (pub classics and al a carte) and offered great choice. The food was fresh and presented well - really appetizing.
I would recommend a shawl as a little chilly but to be expected in December although the fabulous fire keeps the bar area warm and toasty.
Stayed in Bath for xmas fair .read good reviews about the locksbrook inn and decided to visit . Cozy atmosphere friendly staff and the food was excellent. Well done Thankyou
Had lunch with a friend here on 13th Dec. Building and atmosphere is delightful and food was outstanding. Would definitely recommend
Quiet Monday night in December. Super helpful staff and great service. Main meals were really good and well priced. On the slight downside, I thought the meat sharer as a starter was a bit on the small side for £14. Definitely going again though, super dog friendly and must be a great spot in the summer.
Was my first time visiting Locksbrook... I loved it. The staff were welcoming and friendly and service was good.. The Best fish n chips I have ever had.... And the sticky toffee pudding... Yummy 😋
The only thing I would say is the ladies toilets including the Disabled toilet wasn't great and let the side down.. I waited until I got home...
Only not 5 star due to very busy on arrival. Meet & greet could have been better but unfair really as very busy with Xmas parties. Good brilliant
Good reliable gastro pub fare. Friendly service in busy pub. Recommend you book.
We had lovely sharer starters but the meals were diabolical. My husband's roast was stone cold. He sent it back and they microwaved it! As if that wasn't bad enough it still wasn't hot and he sent it back as wouldn't eat it. My mum's bread sauce was still cold out of the fridge and a solid lump. The cauliflower cheeses were cold, stodgy and lacked sauce. She left over half of her meal. The veggie and normal burger were ok but the chips has clearly been refried as they were hollow filled with grease. My husband went to talk to the manager and he took 1 roast and 1 cauliflower cheese off and offered desserts. As over half of the food ordered on the night was awful we declined dessert and went off in search of a kebab van. It ended up being an expensive evening for everyone to still be hungry.
Great for a group or party lunch. Lovely space and decor. V good food. No complaints apart from noisy party beside us but I guess it’s that time of year.
On arrival we were greeted with a friendly smile and shown to our table. The booking service is great.
Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. The menu was varied and the food excellent. We will visit again when in the area.
Good quick service, food was to a good standard and the right amount for a Sunday lunch. Will definitely go again.. Thanks
I love the Locksbrooke Inn in Bath. My Daughter lives here so in the Summer it’s the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by on the canal and eat and drink. This visit was for breakfast with 6 of us. The pub is wonderfully decorated, spacious, friendly and the food is lovely. We’ll be back soon. Thank you.
This is the fourth time we have been to lunch at The Locksbrook and have always very much enjoyed it. However four of us went for lunch on Saturday, first of all we were sat for quite some time before a menu was provided. We ordered our drinks and food and then proceeded to wait, our starter came out, not particularly quickly but before our drinks did. We mentioned it to the waiting staff that we didn't have a drink and were told they would get on to it straight away but it was still a good ten minutes before the drinks appeared by which time we had all finished our starter. We decided to preempt another long wait so ordered drinks before we had finished the first round, just as well we did as it was probably at least another 15-20 minutes before the next drink appeared. I would be reluctant to now recommend to a friend in case they had the same extremely poor service.
Great tucked away location, good atmosphere in the dining room for special occasions, food was good but a bit expensive compared to the competition for what was served. Service was improved on last time, but mainly because of one thoughtful and speedy waiter - they could have done with a little extra help at times. Menu choices for lunch felt like they needed a refresh - but we had a fish dish and meat platter which we both good.
Cold squid, was rectified however poor value for money
The bar area was extremely busy (3pm on a Sunday - yes the tail end of Sunday Lunch which I fully accept) but it took some time to be acknowledged and some time longer to be served with drinks. Bar staff initially appeared to be more interested in texting/messaging and conversing with locals/friends - not a great start!
However, once we were guided to our table in the restaurant area the ambience changed completely... and all for the better. The restaurant was calm and quiet with polite and very attentive staff.
Service was very good with our food arriving within a relatively short time after placing our order.
Lovely staff, quick service and very good food - great for Sunday lunch!
Good food and in brilliant time. Lovely staff, all welcoming and overall fantastic lunch - thanks!
Lovely food. Seemed a little under staffed.
Booked a table for 9 and felt very rushed, felt like we were irritating them, usually have really good service and visit regularly but this was poor in comparison. Previously worked in restaurants and on a Saturday night a booking for 9 is not unusual
Excellent food, excellent service and lovely environment. Would not hesitate in visiting again next time we visit Bath. So refreshing to visit such a first rate establishment which clearly values its customers
Delicious Sunday Roast with all the trimmings in a lovely environment with attentive staff
We have been here to dine on several occasions whenever we are at the Baltic Marina caravan site just up the road. The food is always excellent and plenty of it! ( I hate it when gastro pubs give you small portions!) We went here for lunch on Sunday with several members of the family and everyone commented on how good the food was. You do pay a bit more for a Sunday lunch but it is worth it! Generous portions of meat, at least 4 vegetables, plus roast potatoes and a huge Yorkshire pudding- yummy! I would recommend, however you will probably need to book a table at it’s very popular, particularly on a Sunday.
Food was good but service was quite slow, possibly due to a large hen party in another part of the restaurant. We were given a reduction in the bill due to the wait which was appreciated.
Could have been so much better. We sat in the dining room for an evening meal, but a couple of young families were getting drunk not in the dining room, but they were allowing their children to run riot using scooters in the bars and the dining room and most frustratingly they kept on opening the doors in the dining room onto the garden and leaving them open instead of using the side door from the bar and every time the dining room got close to room temperature it was quickly dropping to 12/13 degrees. Fine if you like eating in an overcoat and eating your food as quickly as possible before it gets cold. Recommend for the summer, but unless the dining room doors can be kept shut in the winter I would go elsewhere.
Lovely Sunday lunch with the family & the dogs
We visit this place quite often, love it. And it's dog's friendly!
The only disappointment for our daughter this time was disappearing of her favourite chocolate brownie with ice cream from the menu. She loves it, please, could the brownie come back?
Good food in a nice atmosphere with friendly efficient staff. What more could you ask for from your local pub!
Lively crowd fun place
A lovely evening with friends, fantastic food and great service.
