Thought the service was slow! Left not having a pudding as I couldn’t be bothered to wait any longer. Waited 15 mins for the menus!
I have been to the locksbrook inn many times in the past but this time the food and service were poor and not to the standard that they usually are.
Although the presentation was good; I feel the pate would have been more enjoyed with chutney/chutneys rather than the veggies it had with it. Wasn’t keen on the taste of the veggies such as the cauliflower.
Great place to eat. Loads of seating inside and out. We sat right by the water’s edge and enjoyed fantastic pizza and cold cider. Highly recommended.
Food was good although I didn't like the fact my white fish in the fish and seafood stew had the skin on it. But that's just my preference. My waitress was fab
One of our favourites and always good food, service and ambience. This visit was no different. Don’t always leave reviews but service was exceptional and really friendly staff.
Great atmosphere, lovely space outside to sit and enjoy a drink and some food. Very popular place, right on the river.
Had a very enjoyable bruch - Eggs florentine and full English were very good. Nice open sided Marquee next to the river. Relaxing location for a peaceful Sunday morning.
Brilliant service and evening, it was wonderful to be able to sit in the comfortable and spacious outdoor area. The food was excellent and fresh and the staff were friendly and accommodating. My only issue with this or any pub or restaurant was the inability to catch a staff member's eye - why don't staff constantly scan their work area to see if anyone wants service?
Nice terrace near the canal. Fairly quiet on a Thursday lunchtime.
Lovely food in a beautiful setting, staff were friendly and helpful.
Best sirloin steak I’ve had for a long time, highly recommend
Sunday roast was absolutely delicious. Bit on the expensive side but it is Bath. Have been there several times and always enjoy it.
Lovely Sunday lunch.
Sat in outside gardens.
Food was very tasty and hot.
Staff all so very friendly.
Roast Beef was very average and a bit dried out. The pork looked significantly better. Felt that at £17.50 it wasn't a good value roast. There was nothing "wrong", I just think you can do better in Bath for similar money. The service was friendly and the covered outdoor seating area is nice.
Lovely food, lovely staff, very good value. We ate on the outside terrace which was nice and warm. The seating is all picnic tables and benches which is not the most comfortable but fine if you’re not staying too long!
Excellent food. Great atmosphere. Good service. What is not to like?
Such a great place, great decor, great outside space
Food was rather average, my other had steak with peppercorn sauce, not up to the standard I expected, I had the seafood stew which was ok, Sticky Toffee pudding was good, we shared it.
We ate outside which was ok.
IPA good, Wine good.
Really delicious meal with fabulous service- can highly recommend
Hi There Julie, Thank you for attending our Pub and enjoying our food and service. We pride ourselves on delivering a high level service to every customer that visits and our glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you again. The Locksbrook Team
Fuimos a comer de domingo familiar, la comida buena, atención buena.
We enjoyed a lovely meal to celebrate my daughters 21st birthday. The food was outstanding as was the service.
Good wholesome gastro pub food. Service a little sketchy
Enjoyed the evening but struggled with menu, predominantly fish or seafood.
My son and I stayed nearby on our South West road trip and booked dinner here. Had to ask for someone to take our order but was good other than that.
Very dog friendly, food was lovely, really good! Staff very good, def recommend :)
We didn’t have to wait long at all for our meal and the sticky toffee pudding was the best I’ve had. All in all a lovely evening
Great experience. Could do with the sun out more in August !
The pizzas were burnt, the deserts came without cutlery, the drinks did not arrive but were charged, the staff were going through the motions. Sloppy table cleaning all around us - so no covid protections -generally underwhelmed as it's a sister pub of the Hare and Hounds in Landsdown which is great.
We shared the salt and pepper squid which was excellent. I enjoyed my roast sirloin - meat cooked pink which I like. Excellent Yorkshire, would have liked more seasonal greens and less carrot purée (? seasoned with cumin which I did not like with the traditional roast). My partner had the fish and chips, thoroughly enjoyed, crispy batter and moist cod within. I managed a child’s portion of sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream and this was outstanding! Very good wines by the glass. Informal atmosphere outside, some might say there were too many dogs but we were well spaced out.
Hi There Teapot, I am glad to hear you had such a wonderful time with us on Sunday, I have passed your compliments on the food to ours Chefs which they'll be pleased to hear as they work hard all week to prepare our roasts. One thing does make us appealing to a lot of customers is that we are completely dog friendly but I am glad to here our team still made you feel welcome and accommodated if that wasn't to your preference, which I hope means we will see you again. The Locksbrook Team
We went for dinner outside on a nice evening.
Service was nice and efficient. Our starters of olives and salt and pepper squid were nice, with a nice aioli sauce.
Our mains left us divided. The spring green risotto oozing with with green veggies and cheese was good but the fish and seafood stew left us disappointed. The sauce had a distinct bitter burnt aftertaste which made it unpleasant.
Having ordered caeasar salad,it came with too many leaves, croutons and anchovies were missing,I was substituted with chips, which i didn't really want as I'd ordered salad.
I appreciate it was busy but the anchovies were missing from another person in our party who'd also ordered salad.i only found out there were no croutons because I'd asked.
Definitely not the ingredients to warrant £15!!!!
Took a while to get starters bought out, but food was very good when it arrived. Had to also wait to pay the bill which automatically included a tip. In then end just went to the bar and paid it. But would have got this removed. Do not feel that 10% is appropriate for a pub outing.
Service courteous and attentive and hard working but delays in achieving ordered items, including the bill. Pleasant ambience. Food mediocre with poor attention to detail, and prices that would suggest a better standard for the area. Is the pub short of staff??
Comfortable, spacious. Good range of meals on menu. Some unusual dishes.
Prompt service. Good quality and value.
Good location, excellent seating area. Starters were excellent but Linguini Vonglole contained 6 clams and very little in the way of seasoning / flavouring and was bland.
Would have benefitted from a little fish stock, more clams and garlic. Mine was pasta, oil, some parsley (?) loads of tomatoes which completely overwhelmed the 6 clams that were in it. Nothing else to flavour it, not even the clam juice.
Do not recommend that particular dish - needs a better chef to produce it.
Good food. Quick service. Lovely scenery. Great time.
Good food and nice decor…, would recommend for others…
Lovely little spot with great food. Only problem was the service was super slow. We waited nearly 75 minutes for our food! Tasted great though!
Hi There Kelly, Thank you for attending our Pub and enjoying our food and having a great time here. Unfortunately over the past few weeks we have had over half our team be of with covid, so every team member has been pulling extra weight and stretched thin. Even though you had a great time I would like to invite you back to show you that a 75 minute wait time is not the standards our team holds themselves to and that on any further visits we can more attentive. The Locksbrook Team
Very good, one of the waiting servers could have been a little more polite, but all in al very good
