The Locksbrook is always a favourite but was particularly happy to get a table during this busy period post-lockdown. Staff were super attentive and helpful, food was great and they helped us to move to another table after our 2 hour reservation window ended. Will be back soon!
We come here all the time, and love the food and the team. Gotta say the meal we had last night is prob our fave yet! Can’t wait to come back.
Amazing food, lush location!
Staff were amazing and accommodating.
good but would have been good if the sides of the marquee could have been down or they had some blankets as it was very cold
Lovely setting, wonderful food and very friendly staff.
Service was amazing even though it was full. Staff were friendly and happy. Good wine and food. I would definitely go back
Lovely food, staff friendly, approachable and helpful.
overall very nice food and service, only a little bit too noisy, with outdoor dining it was the noise was acceptable
Popular pub near the river. Pricey, but good choice of drink and food options. Pub garden is great when sunny. Staff friendly and attentive.
Very nice looking place with outstanding service, surprisingly expensive though
Nice breakfast menu, plenty of under cover outdoor seating but you still need to wrap up warm.
Really nice, good food and fun time. Good overhead cover
Lovely pub, and good food in a pretty setting by the canal.
Great outdoor cover but the food was disappointing. We had the burger - the bun and the pattie were dry and the chips weren’t anything special. Such a shame as the place and staff were lovely.
Nice to see you open again! Came here for breakfast yesterday which was delicious. The waitresses were really sweet to my son. Everything was great, staff were brilliant and attentive and food was brilliant!
Welcoming, delicious food and lovely setting by the canal pathway.
Very lovely and would definitely return! Thank you very much
Service was really fast and friendly. The food was so tasty and came out in reasonable time, will definitely be back again!
Nice place, good selection of menu choices. Shame about the table layout under the marquee meaning that you could only sit on half the table because the rest was getting wet.
Good idea with the marquee especially the heaters
Polite staff, good service and good food - would visit again.
Service was a little slow and had to push to move seats due to the cold weather, it all seemed at the beginning to be very difficult. Eventually they supported, food was ok.
Very good atmosphere, feels like a classic country pub. Staff were very friendly and attentive, no request was too much. Enjoyed the food, was slightly on the pricey side but definitely worth it for a lovely Sunday lunch
We had a fantastic lunch. Food was served quickly yet was fresh and extremely tasty. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Setting is lovely. We will definitely return.
UNfortunately our starters took an hour to arrive, which isn't normally a problem but with a time limit on the table booking this meant we were pressurised had we wanted to stay for a pudding and/or coffeee-through no fault of our own.
Also there were items missing from both the vegetarian and meat platters that we ordered. And the cauliflower cheese side dish did not arrive until 1/2 way through the main course even though we had asked about it when the food was first brought out.
The service was pretty good and the waitress helpful although she did seem to be having to manage a large number of tables.
Overall we were not quite as impressed as we have been on our past 4 or 5 visits prior to lockdown and once last summer. Previously I would have given 5/5 for everything
Lovely pub, great atmosphere.
Was not busy but took more than half hour from being served drinks to getting so eones attention to take our food order. When the breakfast arrived, which from ordering to arriving was quick, in was a basic breakfast and little of everything.
Lovely all rounder, our favourite place to be, always delivers.
Well done to all the waiting staff who got absolutely soaked, yet still kept smiling.
We enjoyed our pizzas, so fresh and tasty, also the pork schnitzel with the mushroom sauce tasted amazing.
Even though it was so busy, we didn't have to wait long.
Felt very safe as had to check in and wait to be escorted to table. Lovely terrace on the canal. Excellent service, quick, polite. Food was excellent and great value for money.
Not impressed with the service that was provided. Staffs need to be trained and speak to customers in a polite manner!
Excellent setting, friendly service, very busy but relaxed. If you are in a hurry it’s not the best place but we all had an excellent and filling breakfast outside and will defiantly go again soon. Dogs are welcome which is a bonus.
An enjoyable lunchtime with friends under the canopy
The food was great
The sourdough bread with my fish goujons a little too crunchy for me but that’s just personal preference
The heaters are a bit high in the canopy to fully benefit the clientele
A chilly afternoon
We had to move to a different table when our two hour slot was up which was closer to the river and cooler
Otherwise we had a lovely time and would go again.
Burgers were overcooked and the heater above us didn’t come on whenever the others did so we had to keep asking the already hard working staff.
Loud group of lads shouting over everyone, no staff said anything. Was unexpected for a sit down meal pub
Very Covid-19 secure, good service and food. Not too cold - undercover and good heaterd
Amazing as always, we sat outside it’s was cold and wet but as the food and service was amazing we weren’t bothered
Thanks again and see you soon
Only went for a couple of drinks, but couldn't help buying a small portion which, of course, ended up being absolutely delicious. The views are stunning even in cloudy weather and the staff are lovely and very welcoming.
Very good! Could not fault anything, will be going back,
Understand the need for time slots however service very slow and too slow in the circumstances. We waited 15 minutes for our drinks. We hen waited over an hour for our meal ( main course only) and had barely finished when we were then given a 10 minute warning that the table was needed at 8.00. Had we wished to have dessert im not sure how that would have gone!
Poor choice for vegetarians.
Disappointing. Dry burger, soggy (crispy) aubergine and soft fish batter. Also waited almost an hour for our food to arrive and not kept informed until we complained.
Such a lovely evening Sunday, staff were all great & food was delicious! Beer garden was also beautiful, will be back again soon!!
Lovely atmosphere. Pub along the river, away from traffic noise. Really good either for a pint or for food. We had a Sunday Roast and loved it!
