Firstly, the food was 1st class, we all enjoyed it very much. Value for money very good. However, it was obvious there were insufficient staff to cope with the number of customers present and the noise level in the venue made conversation virtually impossible. We would probably not go again for Sunday lunch but will try a week night to see if the experience is better.

The restaurant is very nicely decorated. Nice and warm on a wet and cold night. We had the steak platter to share at £64, the sirloin and rump steaks were fine but the T bone was not great to be honest, which was a shame. Both had a desert which was very nice. Restaurant had been recommended to us so was a bit disappointed that it did not live up to our expectations. Would probably try again but did not wow us after this visit.

Could not initially find the Bistro as the postcode sent us way into the countryside outside USK down dirt tracks to a farm. If we had known it was previously called the RAT TRAP, that would have been better!

Popped in for lunch and so glad we did. Food was really lovely, and as it was a saturday we went for the 3 course lunch which was great value for money. The lady serving us was great too!

Really nice, super impressed with the food. Especially the main course. Delicious. Desserts would have liked a few more options but that’s just personal preference and not something I have marked them down for. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Really nice atmosphere. Already booked to come back again with friends. I shall share the good news of a great new find for Sunday lunch!!

First time at this location it’s much better than the caldicot location much nicer location. Only negative was the first tables you meet just inside of the door don’t feel part of the rest of the restaurant almost like a waiting area as there is a wooden classed wall separateing you from the rest of the restaurant which looks great/ the food was amazing.

Table surface was sticky. Roast potatoes soggy probably due to the fact that they were buried underneath the meat. Would have referred the carrots and roast pots to be served separately as the other veg was. However very tasty and the ambience was lovely.

Have visited here on a few occasions but this was the first for Sunday lunch. Unfortunately on this occasion I would only rate this visit as disappointing average. Starters and deserts below average, the main was tasty but on the cold side. Service was very quick.

We had a wonderful brunch at The Lodge. Food was really nice and very accommodating when we asked to make a change to our order. Feel it was good value for the quality of the food we had. The chap who served us was also very attentive, polite and friendly. Would definitely visit again

So glad the Lodge is back open. At this occasion I met a colleague for a work lunch meeting and also a treat for his upcoming birthday. It was his first experience at the lodge and he loved it. Food was amazing as always and service on que. Thank you Tom who served us and the chef for the good food. Never a let down

We love the Pickle pumpkin Catering at Cefn Tilla Lodge. It is our go to Sunday lunch venue. The food is delicious and the staff are super friendly. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

We had a table of four and all meals were over cooked, and clearly all cooked on an un cleaned grill as they tasted like burnt meat. Even the pancakes tasted and overwhelmingly smelt of burnt meat. The venue is nice but the food was terrible frankly. Would not recommend.

First time dining here. Service was great and the waiter helped us decide how many small plates to pick for the 3 of us. Definitely will go back as menus is also just about to change I believe so will be nice to see what else is available.

Visited for Sunday lunch, the food was great and lots of it which is what you want for a roast. Comes with veg, cauliflower cheese and extra gravy without having to ask! I think they need to change the way the extra gravy is served as the little glass bottles were hard to pick up with hot gravy inside. The service was a little bit slow but it wouldn't stop me going back. The people who were working were great but we felt a bit forgotten. Lovely atmosphere, great Sunday lunch but could do with an extra person on shift for smooth service.
