Welcome to the Lodge at Salhouse, we are a family run pub occupying a charming 19th century vicarage. The pub has recently been renovated, including comfortable bedrooms set in seven acres of countryside garden.

We are fortunate to be surrounded by the picturesque Norfolk Broads, while Salhouse boasts numerous scenic walks for both guests and four-legged friends to enjoy.

The neighbouring village of Wroxham provides plentiful amenities including a department store, local shops and cafes, and is popular with holidaymakers wishing to hire boats - we would all agree that one of the best ways to experience the Broads is on the water!

Norfolk also boasts 90 miles of award-winning coastline, with lots of variety to explore. From sandy beaches and rugged cliffs to salt marshes, there really is a beach for everyone! Here at the Lodge our closest stretch of beach is only a half-hour drive away.

    Had an amazing dinner at the weekend! The food was delicious and so beautifully presented. Staff were extremely friendly and very attentive. Can’t wait to go back and so happy they are dog friendly too - such a bonus to find a lovely venue where we can enjoy a superb meal and take our little pooch with us.

    The food was excellent, however the rest left alot to be desired. Other tables who were seated after us received their food before us. We waited 45 minutes for food. We were missing a glass and cutlery from the table. Asked for this when the food arrived, after waiting 10 mins and nothing arrived I had to go to the other side of the restaurant and get them myself. We were charged for drinks that we didn't have. When we were asked how everything was, we told the waitress who clearly didn't know how to respond as she just said oh! and walked away. Won't be returning!!

    Can’t resist the fish n chips, always a good choice. Felt very quiet as only a few people in for lunch. Dessert was too sweet ( too much sugar ) for both my friend and I but the custard was to die for.
