Good food and very Covid secure. Wine list was quite pricey
Highly recommend this pub for Sunday lunch. Great food, staff and atmosphere. Will def be going back when we are out of tier 3.
The attention to detail at The Lordship is outstanding. We ordered a bottle of Cremant and it was superbly served, ice cold in an ice bucket which made it a perfect celebratory drink. Everything we ordered to eat was delicious and despite sitting in the rain in the garden we had an excellent meal under cover.
A good mix of starters, and we both had the roast turkey lunch. A four choice kids menu, and sticky toffee pudding was a big hit. Main thing was the nice relaxing atmosphere, set by the incredibly friendly and jolly staff.
Lovely ambiance and excellent service. Slightly disappointed with the pear and walnut salad but the steak and red wine sauce with mash and green beans was delicious.
Best pub food I’ve had in a really long time! The pies are amazing!!!
Always great food, especially the pies which are always delicious.
Ideal local restaurant /pub. Nice choice of fresh pub food. Friendly staff.
Great food as always. Service was excellent from the friendly staff.
Great service, the garden has a lovely ambience and the food was really good. I have recommended it to many friends
Just amazing. Wonderful atmosphere, amazing food and great staff/service. Can’t fault it.
Nice first Sunday out in a while. Felt safe! Team was really helpful and nice.
Lovely meal out as a couple. We both had pies (one veggie and one steak) and they were delicious!
Incredible food (game terrine, sea bass ceviche, venison haunch) and very accommodating service.
We had an amazing time at The Lordship - delicious food, atmosphere and great service!
The staff at the Lordship remain its most valuable asset. They are welcoming and courteous. Allied to a cosy and relaxed atmosphere, a nice selection of reasonably priced wines and beers, and tasty food, this is a location you’re guaranteed to enjoy.
We love The Lordship and so happy they’re open again! We sat outside as with friends and enjoyed the brilliant food and wine.
Lovely meal and nice friendly staff operating within difficult circumstances. Good luck with lockdown number 2.
Great pub great food lovely people definitely recommend
Great food, and the staff were lovely
Food is ok although the starters are expensive for the size, the service could be improved especially as an automatic service charge added.
Love this pub, the food and staff are always lovely.
Lovely local pub - good selection of beer, excellent food and relaxed atmosphere.
What a gorgeous pub! We had one of the best vegan (and non-vegan) meals here and the service was impeccable. The garden is beautiful! We want to go back every week x
By the time we got there half of the menu had sold out. Great servers who were very amicable and accommodating
Wonderful as always. One of the best roasts around and great, friendly service.
All in all a nice place and very good lunch. The roasts were excellent (though I don't see the need for Yorkshire pudding with everything) bit the apple crumble very disappointing. Not at all a traditional crumble but not a good alternative! It seemed hastily put together (or hastily warmed up?) With barely cooked apple and a rather sharp overseer taste. The crumble was a thin sandy layer. My son's sticky toffee pudding was apparently fantastic. It was a very large portion and half would be fine for me.
Service was a bit patchy and abrupt and the pub felt cold. I mentioned this and was told there was nothing they could do about it, but was offered no explanation. It could be that due to Covid-19 they needed to keep a door open for air circulation.
I thought the food was generally really good and we were impressed. Also the menu was more interesting than at some other local pubs which only seems to offer burgers and other fast food style dishes. I would definitely go again but maybe wrap up warm!
Great service, lovely food and really friendly atmosphere
Fab birthday lunch & drinks as always at The Lordship. Beautiful food, great service - always a nice place to spend time with friends (even outside in the rain!). Would definitely recommend.
We had a lovely lunch outside, the waiters were all really friendly and attentive. Food was delicious, I had the halloumi salad, others had the burger and bake and all said it was tasty! Nice and spacious inside, would definitely recommend
Good pub, great food and lovely staff.. roast beef is the best in south London.
Sunday lunch - roast beef was very red/pink which was fine by me but the friend I was with wasn't enjoying it.
Cheeseboard was lovely.
Brilliant pub, great food and lovely courtyard out the back!
Spacious and delicious pub – seems to be welcoming of families and dogs as well!
awesome staff as always, great food. Had a good time!
Lovely meal and staff with limitless patience, particularly given that we (party of 5; 2 adults and 3 children) turned up 30 minutes late without having had the courtesy to telephone ahead. Adult no.1's car and phone had flat batteries; Adult no.2 is just narcissistically late for everything. It must be acknowledged that Adult no.2 was unforgivably rude to the staff, complaining about everything, including raising objections to (a) the self-evidently sensible requirement that we wear masks, (b) the understandable prohibition against our feral children running around the communal areas, (c) the number of staff attentively waiting on us, (d) the size of the spoons (!), (e) the length of the drinks menu, (f) the request that we give the table back after an hour for deep-cleaning precisely because we used up our allotted time by turning up late, (g) the fact that the bill charged us for items that we had ordered and consumed, (h) and so it went on. I was deeply embarrassed to be part of it but, in equal measure, incredibly grateful to the saintly professionalism shown by the Lordship’s staff. Thank you for not tipping the Moretti over Adult no.2's head. I would have done so had I not already knocked back my glass of house Valpolicella in order to numb my ordeal. As a crumb of comfort, Adult 1 made Adult 2 walk home. Thank you for all your hard work.
Very nice meal, burger meat was not seasoned but apart from that very good. Scotch egg is amazing and steak pie very good also. Good, attentive service, plenty of space around tables.
Had an impromptu dinner here on a Friday. Great menu when compared to other pub menus in the area. Has the flat iron steak and partner had steak and red wine pie. Both delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will be coming here again
A great night! Delicious food and everything felt very safe and comfortable. Can’t wait to come back.
The Lordship is a real favourite and you are always guaranteed an excellent Sunday lunch. The service is always so friendly and attentive, and they are taking covid precautions very seriously this year. Very grateful to have the Lordship locally!
