Waiter was fantastic. I was with my adult daughter who has autism. He was so respectful and kind. Food was great. The lounge is comfortable. Great place for an afternoon/evening drink and nibbles.

A perfect location for an indulgent High Tea. Beautifully presented in a tasteful and comfortable setting. The pianist added to the ambience of a special afternoon treat. Beware of the sugar rush and the need for a siesta afterwards though! A little disappointed that there were no hot savoury items though.

Busy night as only restaurant open due to Covid & school holidays, despite this food arrived quickly & was delicious. Servings were generous.

We were looking forward to experiencing this for my parents anniversary with our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) however the afternoon was a huge let down. From the moment we walked in, were not greeted well. My children were eyeballed off by a young waitress, who barely spoke or even said hello. She looked about 17.
I've been to Lillianfels before, and service was 80% better ! The waitress did not welcome, discuss or even ask us for a drink. She was either very rude and awkward, or had never seen children in a restaurant before.
The service was disjointed from all 3-4 staff that were on. The only 1 pleasant female waitress was friendly taking our order. Our drinks order after (tea/coffee) were forgotten about, and the whole time, I felt like I had to "shoosh" My children (from the looks I received from the staff) as my kids were not stuck playing on tablets but enjoying themselves playing cards!)
We were disappointed as the staff did not once check to see if we were ok, nor did they offer the kids any fun activity packs (which we found later).

I have worked in 4-6 star restaurants and honestly, the staff that were on, were not of this quality that Lilianfels brings to the hospitality industry.
Very disappointing all in all, will not be back to visit nor recommend.

service was slow even though it wasn't really busy at all. Ordered something called broccoli with almond butter fries and it was literally just a bowl of steamed broccoli with almond flakes, for $10?? strange....
It was nice there and the rest of the food was good but a bit disappointed.

I was disappointed we did not get to enjoy the view as we enjoyed our high tea, but the ambience and the food made up for the shortcoming. We walked out of the hotel and crossed the road and nature was there in all it’s splendour.

Beautiful setting for a special celebration. The savouries on the high tea we’re delicious and so were the scones. Sadly the chocolate and banana cakes were a commercial mass produced product. Excellent attention by the friendly staff.

We were given a High Tea as a gift
We ate in the Lounge which was beautiful and very comfortable. We had a glass of sparkling wine which was nice . The service was good I thought the actual food content was underwhelming for the price The savoury content of the tea was nice but not adequate amount of food , and I do not eat a lot We were not offered any top up of tea or more food .

As a former Melbournian and foodie, I am quite the fussy eater. The food at the lounge was impeccable! Cooked to absolute perfection. I cannot fault our dining experience here. I will definitely be back for the angus burger and chicken breast dish! Not to mention the delicious cocktails!!
The ambience was also divine; a tranquil setting and thus very relaxing.

The food was very average, especially for the price. The whole hotel is looking sad as tired, desperately in need of a freshen up. There was a family close by with teenage kids sitting on the floor on their phones, in pyjamas which is fine but I went out to escape my own kids doing that. It’s just all a bit blah really. Truly lacklustre. Definitely not a five star experience, maybe three at a push. Social distancing was non existent.
