The open kitchen offers a quality home-made range of pizzas, pastas, burgers and salads; great for down to earth eats and friends who want to share. There’s a lunch-time Baguette, Wrap and Panini Menu, Vegan Menu and plenty of gluten-free options, which are all prepared fresh and cooked to order in a wood fired oven. We also welcome families and the casual environment is a great place to let kids eat from our classic Children’s Menu that can be customized to suit even the fussiest of eaters.
Alternatively, pull up a stool and let one of the bartenders shake you a cocktail. The bar serves a well curated selection of wines, an extensive range of spirits and even has a separate drinks list for the gin lover in your life. There are draught beers and ales and a variety of bottled drinks. We serve plenty of fresh smoothies, non-alcoholic options and can give you fresh coffee to your taste.

Great service, great food. Tables nicely spaced apart.
2nd time to Lp’s. Drinks and food very tasty. Hubby and myself struggled to see the menu though even with glasses on. Print too small and restaurant Dimly lit. Other than that. We loved it and will visit again.
great cocktails and great service really enjoyed sitting upstairs in the lounge
Love the LP. Good food and great cocktails! We will definitely be back.
The food was a big disappointment. We are both vegans, so having checked the menu in advance were really impressed with the choice and modern approach.
However, although both pizzas had a decent amount of topping, they were almost tasteless - the toppings hadn't been seasoned or pre-roasted, or they were just cheap ingredients. The tomato sauce again didn't have any depth - no garlic or herb, and the base was totally bland. My partner said his garlic mushrooms were the only thing that tasted of anything.
At £13/£14 each, we felt this was very expensive for the tasteless food.
I’m shocked to see the food was tasteless, this is not a standard complaint as we use premium ingredients and plenty of seasoning, herbs and spices.
Only criticism was that the wine was a tad pricey meaning that with a couple of bottles it resulted in £100 + bill for 2!
But.... cannot knock the food it was huge and very tasty, love the decor and service was good! Our best eating experience in Bury St Edmunds.
Many Thanks
Me and my partner were down in Bury for the weekend and thought we would try out an independent restaurant. I loved the atmosphere and the food was so so good alongside the cocktails. It was a bit on the pricey side however I would definitely go back!
We were asked to move tables twice due to staff accidentally seating us in a table which had been specifically booked. As we were moving for the second time we were spoken to horrendously by the owner telling us to stop moving tables (he clearly had no idea of the situation) making us feel extremely uncomfortable and very frustrated. The staff dealt with it brilliantly and I can’t fault them, the drinks were lovely and we would of spent the rest of our evening there if we had been treated so badly by the owner who was sat having a drink himself.
When any guest at The LP starts the conversation with “mind your own f***ing business” to the Owner of said business in a derisory tone that’s exactly what the Owner of the business will do, hence you were asked to leave.
Lovely place. Very quiet . Food was good. The service was prompt
Very noisy in the bar area staff polite , helpful .
delicious pizza, amazing drinks. Love that you can split the pizza to try more options.
It was considerably loud and quite difficult to hear each other talking. The food was great as always! The coke tasted like bubblegum for some reason and could never get another drink because the staff weren’t very attentive not could I capture their attention.
The pizzas were amazing, and the kids’ menu was great too. Would definitely recommend.
We were very well looked after, new systems made us feel safe and the food was excellent. Can’t wait to go back.
A lovely evening, well organised and the best pizza in town!
The food was good and the red house wine was excellent. What would deter us from a return visit is the noise level; with bare floors and no soft furnishings to absorb sound it was uncomfortably noisy to the point where every exchange with staff or each other became an ordeal.
Fabulous food
Attentive staff, thoroughly enjoyed it & recommend. Will be coming bk.
Having never been to LP’s before, I was pleased to see they had a spot open for lunch. The kids portions are spot on and all the food was delish! We will definitely be back!
Food, service were good. A bit noisy and hard to hear waitress.
I was not impressed with the amount of derbis that was between the grooves
on the wooden table. Would not want to sit there again.
Would visit again.
Delicious food, excellent service and great atmosphere.
Food was tasty but feel overpriced , was happy it was 50% off tat I feel would be accurate price
Service was great although pretty slow for the amount of staff available
Room was very noisy and conversation was hard to hear amongst my family of 5 a metre apart
Food shortage was an issue as desserts listed were not fully available
Great food and very nice surroundings. It seemed a bit loud though, possibly because social distancing impacted the furniture arrangements and therefore acoustics. I would recommend though.
Amazing pizzas, the choice of toppings is fantastic. Great choice of drinks including non alcoholic. Friendly and attentive staff, highly recommended.
We had a good experience dining at LPs. Pizza oven produced an authentic scrummy pizza and my salad was well presented and really tasty. Staff were very sweet and in the strange covid times were very friendly and reassuring . Tables spaced apart and all correct measures taken for safety. Well done
Great food in a nice restaurant We used the eat out to help out scheme and the value was amazing. Eould recommend
Booked a table for 9.30pm on Saturday to get there and be told that there were no tables and that I shouldn't have been able to book online. One security man was very cocky and rude.
Not impressed as I had never been there before.
Great food and service. Would go to eat there again.
Another wonderful outing to LPs. The pizzas are delicious.
In these Covid times the staff were very clear as to what we could do and worked hard to create a pleasant And safe dining experience
Popped in for lunch - the team seem to be handling the ‘new normal’ in their stride. No doubt I’ll be back in next time I’m in Bury St Edmunds.
Good cocktails, good pizza. Glad see them back in business.
As good as ever. Great to be back after lockdown. Recommended
Possibly the best pizzas we have ever had. Thin base and tasty toppings. All named after famous people & a great selection. Plenty of draught & bottled beers. A whole wall full of different 'prescriptions' , sorry spirits. 4 shots for £10. Didn't look at the desserts as we were too full. Maybe next time. Staff were really friendly & the service was quick. Great value. Quirky mismatched furniture. Awesome feature in the gents toilets. Will definitely return.
Good pizzas, good vibe, good value...good to support an independent restaurant in Bury.
Good food and service but it was far too noisy and with no table suitable for 3 we huddled on one side of a large circular table trying to hear each other.
Great menu options. Pizzas are great. I've been going to the LP for 5 years and they are always great.
It was really nice food was great! Service was a bit slow but it worked for further evening events. Feel like tho once you sit down it shouldn’t be almost an hour to get your starter.
