This is a bit of a hidden gem. Located right in the heart of Dublin City Centre. With super friendly staff and a wide variety of boojie drink options it's definitely worth the visit.
Lovely restaurant, great staff. Pity about the time restrictions
Really enjoyed our meal and cocktails. Service was excellent and the ambience was lovely. I felt that the portion sizes were quite small for the small plates, and I ended up ordering a second round of the buttermilk chicken. It came in a tiny bowl for €7.50. Other than that, everything else was lovely and I would definitely go again. A great place to meet friends or for a date.
We had a lovely evening at the Lucky Duck. The cocktails were delicious and the food was good although the Beef Torchon could have used a little more sauce. Very tasty! It was quite quiet which affected the ambience a little but that is to be expected in the current times. Overall we really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend and come back!
We had hake risotto for mains. Delicious starter was sliders & prawn brucetta, all food was greasy cooked perfectly & tasty.
The Lucky Duck is well set up for serving its customers while restrictions are in place. We were very well looked after, staff was friendly and the service was excellent. We'll be back - thanks!
Spacious and friendly staff, along wil good food and plesant service
Great place for an evening snack & a drink In a nice chilled out atmosphere. Service was fast and friendly.
Great night with very food atmosphere and decor but some things annoying - charged for extra bread for our cheese board!
Apart from that really enjoyed the night and the staff was lovely
Meg was a wonderful server! She accommodated all of our strange cocktail requests and was very friendly! The cocktails were beautiful, food was lovely and for a reasonable price. Would definitely go again!
Incredible - perfect food, the best Old Fashioned I’ve had in a long time and great service. Handing the Covid situation incredibly well!
This was a game of two halves. The starters - ham croquettes and fried chicken were very good. The heirloom carrots with hummus and hazelnuts was good but lacked intensity. We opted for a 25 euro sharing meat and cheese board for our main . What arrived was pilled on top of each other. It contain a Parma ham, chorizo and Salami. The cheeses presented were a Red Leicester, a cheddar and a Brie. All had been pre cut and were dried out. For the 25 euro price we expected an artisan selection and instead received something that you would get in a prepackaged deli selection from a chain super market. I politely mentioned it to the waiter and revived a defensive and hostile response. The decor and ambiance in this restaurant is really lovely - it’s a shame that it was let down by lazy cheffing and profiteering with the sharing plate.
Amazing cocktails, food and atmosphere, highly recommend😀
Lovely place, great food and cocktails!! Really recommended for a date or cosy catch-up with a friend.
Very helpful staff, subdued place, very well renovated
Excellent service and great attention to the Covid-19 guidelines. Felt very safe and had a lovely experience. Decor is fab and cocktails are delicious.
So happy we found this little hidden gem and will definately be back in the future.
Great refurbishment. Very tastefully done. We had a lovely waitress. I think her name was Megan. The food was lovely. All fresh and nicely presented. We finished our visit in the snug just so we could see a bit of downstairs. The barman was very good and great as the meet and greet. I will definitely go back.
Great food and atmosphere, decent value. If I was being picky a more extensive menu would have been good but what we had was excellent.
Great place with nice food and cocktails. We spent about €200 for four of us starters, mains and 2 desserts. Two on pints and on cocktails. Staff were very helpful and food was great.
Good spacing and hand san available. Staff don't wear masks but it wasn't an issue.
Amazing service and food, James was fantastic and so helpful when choosing our drinks.
Really loved it, will definitely be back.
Staff were lovely and welcoming, food was delicious and drinks even better :)
Service was amazing. The cocktails are the best I’ve had in Ireland
Hi Emi, Thank you for your review, we are delighted that you enjoyed your evening with us. We hope to have you in again soon. Alan
Great place for a romantic dinner, nice menu card, good food, great cocktails, great cocktails, great cocktails....
Delicious food ( beef torchon, sliders, chicken salad, carrots, buttermilk chicken) and cocktails (bellini and mojito), excellent service, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient staff, warm atmosphere, great value for money. I highly recommend The Lucky Duck.
Excellent service, waiter was extremely helpful, energetic and extremely nice... will definitely be back!
The menu was entirely different to the one online - thus would not be a problem if I had been informed in advance (eg when the restaurant rang to confirm my reservation) but I didn't know and many of my party have dietary restrictions. We weren't really able to enjoy ourselves because the food options were extremely limited and we all ended up just eating chips for dinner
Really enjoyed the evening - food and drinks were lovely!
First time back to the lucky duck post covid-19 lock-down. The place was spotless, well laid out tables within new guidelines, great service and the food tasty as always. Great to see you guys open again
Our starters arrived with mains & we never got our side order. Using covid as an excuse but half capacity and reduced menu so sorry but there is none. Received no gesture of good will just wanted us out of restaurant.
Press Up Group need to do better. No staff wearing masks.
Great Cocktails, nice food, pleasant and helpful staff. Love the decor too 😎
Great service, was really put at ease by our waiter in terms of the new regulations. We were made feel very comfortable and welcome.
Cocktails were excellent as were the meat sliders! More of a choice on the menu would have been nice but the meal we got was delicious.
Great cocktails and food ! Amazing staff that just went above and beyond in phase 3 of lockdown. Will definitely return.
The team at the Lucky Duck have put in a massive amount of work to make sure customers are happy & safe since reopening. The food, drinks and atmosphere were excellent making this the perfect spot to catch up with friends or bring a date.
We ordered about 8 dishes between us and although you know it is tapas some of them were very small. The overall temperature of the food was just ok . We had some lovely cocktails and the service was very good so we enjoyed the night
Its a fabulous experience. Great food & fantastic cocktails. Staff are lovely & great craic
Good food, reasonably priced in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere
The upper floors are always lovely, even though the atmosphere on quieter nights is much nicer. The staff is well trained and helpful and the food is delicious. The drinks are fantastic, a favourite place in Dublin for a trendy night out
Loved The Lucky Duck. Great atmosphere, service and food. Loved the seating and design of the bar and upstairs. Beware when booking on Open Table though. We booked a slot for 10pm on a Sat night and Open Table lets you pick slots right up to 11.30pm however when we arrived the waiting staff had to check with the kitchen if we could still order food. Thankfully the kitchen looked after us but the waiter explained that it is a problem with Open Tables reservations so to be on the safe side don't try to book a table for food after 9.45pm.
The Lucky Duck is a brilliant spot for drinks and food.
Food was terrible, meat was chewy. Cocktails were pure lemon. A big waste of money. Staff were ok except for blond waitress who said “that’s how the chef likes it” when I pointed out about the meat in the croquettes. Will never recommend or return.
The Lucky Duck is rated 4.6 stars by 112 OpenTable diners.
