The Manor Restaurant at Best Western Chilworth Manor has recently undergone a full refurbishment and is available for hotel residents and non-residents alike. Pre-booking is required.

Unfortunately, there was a hair in our sandwiches. Yes, they changed the meal but then puts you off a little.

I went with my sister & we ordered fish & chips. The fish tasted horrible & expensive. It seemed to be frozen fish cooked too quickly. I will not be eating there again.

We were entertaining two family members for Sunday lunch and decided that a restaurant in Manor House would be ideal. Sunday lunch for 4 was therefore booked. When we arrived there was a Wedding Fair and parking was very difficult. On entering the restaurant I was asked if we were there for afternoon tea! I said we weren’t but had booked for lunch. I was told ‘We don’t do lunch, only bar food’! On speaking to the manageress , I was told that hotel restaurants don’t normally serve roast lunches and I should have booked at a pub!!! I firmly disagreed but was shown the bar menu. I politely said that we did not want burgers or fish-and-chips! Be warned - it is a restaurant but it only serves bar food. Very disappointed! Luckily we managed to find another venue and a superb meal at short notice. I was embarrassed and upset and will never go there again.

Free parking on site, a very nice hotel, came for afternoon tea - it's a good price of £21.50pp, it was very good.

This was the worst meal I have ever had out in front of me. The menu was completely different to the one we had looked at online. The choices were poor and the food presented was like warm and unappealing! A lady sat next to us asked for some Parmesan for her pasta. After waiting 10 minutes and having to chase it up, she was given a small bowl of grated cheddar!! When she queried it, she was told they did not have any Parmesan!! Why didn’t they just tell her that instead of trying to fool her with cheddar. Also, what restaurant that serves pasta does not have Parmesan?

We booked a table for our daughter and her boyfriend to celebrate end of exams and prom and they went in their outfits. They had a fantastic time ordered afternoon tea and they loved all the food. Thank Chilworth Manor for a brilliant experience for them.

Food was amazing, I had the sea bass which was outstanding, partner had steak and it was done perfectly. Can’t say anything other than we loved it..
