Great addition to the Houston dining scene. The Marigold Club lives up to its Mayfair aspirations (Mirabelle anyone?). The food was excellent - good proportions and perfectly seasoned, the service was great with old school white jackets and black ties, but the musical background and boisterous dining room kept it from being stuffy. We will be back!-

Beautiful restaurant. Their designer did a phenomenal job. The food was good but felt rushed by the staff. Wasn’t worth the 4 week wait at all. We really wanted to love this place but I don’t think I’d go back.

The cover doesn’t match the book. I was very excited to celebrate our anniversary here, but it wasn’t worth the wait or the price tag. Beautiful place. Great upscale English decor, but not the quality to go with it. Service was fine but felt rushed. Cocktails were ok but nothing remarkable. Food was meh and really small portions. We ordered all the 4 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 side and dessert! And it was just enough for 2 (and we aren’t necessarily big eaters). Pro’s: the escabeche, shrimp cocktail and ice cream. Nothing worth going back to unfortunately.

We had been looking forward to our visit to The Marigold Club for some time. It’s a beautiful space. That did not disappoint. The service was excellent as well. Very much eye candy. However, the food should be the star. It tasted delicious for the most part, however, I can’t say that it was outstanding. The portions were very small , especially for the price tag. I would have a hard time choosing this restaurant again because the food was not special enough to warrant the $$$$$$$ I’m sad to say this because I very much appreciate great service and Lovely decor. It’s in my neighborhood and I was hoping it would be a go to restaurant for us.

The service was great, the wait staff is very attentive. It’s evident management didn’t quality time with team members on the menu items and they articulate each section exceptionally well. The ambiance is Devine and drinks were good!

The service here was extremely disappointing - very slow and inattentive. Also, I came for a birthday dinner, and they didn't put a candle in the dessert or do anything to acknowledge the celebration except for mentioning it when we sat down. Very very disappointing given how much you're paying to dine here.

We had one of the first reservations at 5:15PM on a Sunday, was very excited to try The Marigold with all the great reviews to gorgeously decorated interior awaiting our photos. I even had a list of things ready to order! Heads up, any table with more than 4 will not be sat in the main dining room. We had 7 and sat in room that was the complete opposite of the main dining area. So we didn’t get to experience that sexy ambiance. The dishes that stood out were the fresh oysters, fish not chips, beef tartare, and duck wellington. I could easily skip everything else ordered, or just not return unfortunately. Our waitress was someone who I wouldn’t recommend, I personally didn’t enjoy her approach of recommending the quantity of everything we needed. I understand everything isn’t meant to be shared, but that’s why I came in ready with a list of things we wanted to try! Just a bite or taste to experience Marigold Club’s offerings. When our waitress placed one of our entrees down, she accidentally tapped our onion ring which fell on the table…I expected her to offer a new serving. She came off borderline condescending. For $172 (22%) dollar tip, I truly did anticipate better. Please don’t expect “Texas sized” portions. We were all talking about heading to Uchi to have some dishes we loved, since today’s dinner was slightly better than okay.
