We arrived and the restaurant was closed. Very disappointing given we had a reservation.
Service was over attentive until it came to serving the food, which for one order took almost an hour. The food itself was generally over cooked. Not a great dining experience.
We arrived at Market House on time only to find it closed with no information amongst the notices on the window of the situation. My only conclusion must be that the experience was dreadful.
Lovely food and drinks. Stools are a little bit uncomfortable maybe add cushions? Great evening 😊
Excellent lunch with delicious tapas. We each chose a different couple of fishes which we all shared. Service was efficient and very friendly, and the COVID-19 safety aspects were good.

What a lovely place, even though all the tables are spread out to follow Covid regs it still seemed cosy.
Perfect spot to linger over dinner and chat with friends! Also: the cod!! My God! It was divine!

Wasn’t aware of the 3for2 until we paid, so we could have ordered more. Each dish is quite small and we only had just enough for 4 adults, could have done with a bit more food.
We ordered a sharing plater, 4 meat dishes, 2 veggie dishes and 2 lots of fries.
Booked the table, was not told that it was over 21s to eat food in there. When turning up the staff were rude, me and my partner were starving and were forced to leave. Luckily ask let us in, I tend to prefer going to independents but because of how we were treated by market house we were forced to go to an independent. What cracks me up more is that 1) they lost a good amount of food from us that went to a chain and 2) I’ve been in there many times for a drink after work with friends or work colleagues. They need to decide if it’s over 21s or not because it’s a joke and it should also be made clear when booking as I have seen from many other comments that this happened to others as well. Sort it out and learn how to handle the situation better, I used to like the place for a drink but it’s completely changed my view of the place.

Booked this restaurant for the first time with high hopes as had heard good things but extremely disappointed I'm afraid. The occasion was for a family meal celebrating the start of the summer hols and of course the end of a long week only to find on arrival that they didn't intend to offer us a table and would not be accommodating my children as they were under 21 even though I had already told the restaurant their ages in the email booking which clearly no one had bothered to read. I had left my mobile number, home number and email so unless we lived in a cave with no means of communication, I really don't see how I could have given them any extra chance of contacting us. On a more positive note Prezzo managed to accommodate us at the last minute so evening saved - not a great start to the weekend though. Certainly won't be recommending The Market House.

On my recent visit, no I wouldn't recommend. We booked a table that wasn't available on arrival and we were given a table that we didn't want. The chef was going home early so the kitchen was shut, we had booked a table to eat. We had a drink and left to find somewhere we could eat
Fantastic menu and delicious food which included some vegetarian options. Varied drinks menu including cocktails.
Restaurant were very accommodating with seating requests.

This was our first visit to The Market House and enjoyed the overall experience from the friendly welcome by the staff to excellent food and good wine !! Helpful waitress to explain the options and the recommendation on the number of plates to choose was spot on as quantities as well as quality of dishes was first rate. Will be returning
We booked a table as we wanted to eat. When we arrived we were shown a tall table by the window with no seats. Seats eventually arrived but we would have preferred a proper sit down table and chairs. Food and cocktails were good though.
Great place . Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great and reasonable priced. Ambience is great too .
Myself and Hayley loved our meal and cocktails it’s an ideal venue for a date night.
