Soup tasted like it was out of a tin. Tater Tots greasy. Not great IMO

Went for Sunday roast only to be told they had sold out witch was the main thing we went for sadly there was not much left on the menu that was to our liking so we had a starter and pudding each and drink then left unsatisfied sadly we won’t be back and we never got the table we requested bye the fire used to like this place until now never mind there’s hundreds more restaurants in Stirlingshire to try out happy days 😃👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🎶🎶🎶

Service great. Ate in conservatory. Lovely ambience and noise levels just right. Not crammed in, just the right space. Menu a bit limited. There were 5 of us eating. Sunday roast excellent. Fish (batter a bit oily) and chips nice but would have liked crushed peas. Fried halloumi best the person had ever had. Cheeseburger nice. Onion rings awful - very oily thin crispy batter and hardly any onion. Limited desert menu. Sticky toffee pudding was nice, Affogato awful and not eaten. Limited parking on site and needed to park up the road a bit but not very far. Overall, good service and food but limited choice and imo a bit overpriced.

The location/ setting is beautiful, and the food delicious. The menu was compact but plenty choice and great value.

Dined here with my son and his fiancé on a visit from the US. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer evening. The service was on point: cheerful and helpful and the restaurant had a great casual vibe, with the charm of the inn. We had the steak frites, fish and chips, and fried rice with crispy chicken. DELICIOUS!

Food was lovely. Both of our mains were very generous portions. Only downside we found was that our starters seemed small.

My daughter has just started at Stirling University, this was a family visit and early dinner out which did not disappoint. We had a drink outside then into the conservatory for food, service was excellent and good pricing.
