We really enjoyed our meal, when we visited the restaurant on my birthday. I was pleasantly surprised when they brought out a dessert with candles on top and sung to me. The only reason we didn't give 5 stars, was because they didn't reply to my Husband's emails and they charged us 10% service fee on top of our bill. We feel that tips should voluntary and not compulsory.

I have been here several times before and hence returning. I organised a meal out with friends who had never been here before, to celebrate a milestone. The meal, service and ambiance was up to its normal high standard. All my friends thoroughly enjoyed their time and all said they wish to return with either; friends family or partners. Which in its self a great recommendation for this establishment

It started well with the drinks and meze. The owner/head waiter took our order for our main courses. It came apparent that when he took the salt and pepper from our table after we had been waiting for about an hour we were not going to receive our main courses. We was offered another drink while they cooked the food but as I had to drive early in morning this was declined. He was under the impression we had told one of the other members of staff that we did not want our main courses. So rather expensive for the drinks and the starters. Im sure this does not happen very often, but was not impressed.

The food was decent depending on what standard it is being judged (Turkish or British will be different ratings). The service was good however for a table for two one set of cutlery was missing and half of the drinks order was forgotten. Time between ordering and being served was Turkish style timing. Overall probably one of the best establishments in Basingstoke centre
