The Melting Pot - Maple Shade NJ
Ambiance was romantic in some parts of the restaurant. Heating/cooling system was really loud. I had to practically yell at my date anytime it was on. Portions were small compared to the pricing. Server and staff was pleasant, but we kept having to ask for water refills.
They didn’t have one of the breads for the fondue and they also didn’t have an ingredient to make one of the chocolates. Disappointing experience that evening.
Great service, great food. Lots of fun and very relaxing. A little expensive but very good.
Loved the food, atmosphere and service.
Definitely paying for the experience! Our waiter was wonderful, very informative and helpful. The food was average. Fruits and veggies were good and fresh. The meat and seafood were average and the desserts tasted like they were taken straight from the Little Debbie wrapper. If you want the experience of cooking your own subpar food in broths or chocolate I'm sure it could be done for way under $130.00.
My wife and I were a bit nervous since we never ate at this venue. Heard mix reviews of good and bad service, we’ll have to make that call based our own experience. Big shout to Page for making our 1st time visit amazing. She was polite, professional and helpful on selecting the items in the menu. Keep up the good job and look forward to visiting the establishment again.
The cooking style of the meat was not satisfying at all. Money was worth the experience. All together might go one more time down the road. Best part was the dessert portion.
My first experience at the Melting Pot was AMAZING! I was dazzled by how good the food was! Service superb and our waiter, Kate was super sweet! Fav part was dessert.....Banana Foster while dippin’ the brownie in it was a whole SIN, lol! But it was all worth it. I whole-heartedly enjoyed myself. I will return soon!
It was my birthday and we had Kyle as our waiter. He was wonderful. Jose our bus person was a doll too. Food was everything we hoped it would be. I'd definitely come back.
Fun night celebrating my daughters 14th birthday.
First time there have never been to fondue restaurant before. The waitress really didnt explain anything or how to cook since we got the skillet. It was suppose to be 98.00 for 2 (there was 3 of us) for 98.00 you got a 4 course dinner. The food took forever to cook and especially if there is more than 2 people. Then I got the bill, 211.00 the food would have been fine if you are sitting at a bar but not as a sit down dinner. Although our 16 year old son enjoyed it we will not be back
We went for my daughter’s birthday. Our server was super nice and very accommodating. The food was very good, although it doesn’t sound like a lot it was. Very filling, everything was amazing.
Our waitress Kaitlyn was the best!!! Can’t wait to go back
Overall good experience. Nice time with the family.
I love the melting pot and have been dining at several for the past 15 years. This one has been the worse. Although very comfortable with beautiful decor, the meal was subpar. The vegetables that come with the cheese and entree looked as if they were the last scraps they could muster up. I was guessing that this is because it was the day after New Year’s Eve. I asked for fresh ground pepper for my salad and after waiting almost 15 minutes for it I received pepper packets. The sauces did not come out filled either, even after we asked for a second serving. Lastly, the dirty martini was too dirty, as if it was just olive juice with a splash of vodka. The server was okay, but it appeared as if he was hit with too many tables. It took awhile to get requested items. I love the melting pot, but will not attend this particular one again.
The food tasted fabulous as always, however, I found the portion size of the cheese to be much smaller than usual which was disappointing. Service was adequate, nothing outstanding.
Went for my boyfriend Birthday . Staff was amazing and so was the service/food
It was nice to go out and I loved our server!! He was so sweet!!
The dinner experience was nice. We had a good time. Just make sure to go early enough in the evening to have enough time between each course. We arrived late and had to rush our meal but were told in advance by the manager and accepted it. Also since there are covid restrictions in place, I noticed that the staff all wore masks, there are plexiglass barriers and tables are socially distanced. We will return.
Too expensive. Also we kept loosing the meat at the bottom
Christmas Eve! We enjoyed our food and our waitress Was amazing!
The food is amazing and the server we had made the whole experience enjoyable. We will definitely be returning!
Awesome food and awesome wait staff
We were there to celebrate my daughter’s 20th birthday. The food was wonderful and our server went out of his way to make sure we were happy.
Great service. Great server. Great food. I will be coming back asap
I went for my birthday and it was great!
this was our first time and we loved it, we’ll definitely be back.
Unfortunately none of the protein dishes had any seasoning whatsoever. We found the food very bland and taking way too long to get done on the table grill. Nice atmosphere but would only return for appetizer or dessert. Also overpriced.
Felt very distanced from other diners, which is a must during these hard times. Great service.
Best melting pot location. We are never let down. Every time we leave, I’m already wanting to plan another visit. Thanks for the great service and experience every time!
Service was amazing, ambiance great, food was very small
Portions so we left hungry lol
Was a little tough to enjoy the full fondue for two experience in two hours. Would’ve liked a heads up that they had a strict close time because of the pandemic, but our server was very very kind and tried to help us out. Also, adding rum to the s’mores fondue is something we would’ve said no to, but there was no warning! Before we knew it, there was alcohol in the chocolate and then I couldn’t eat it.
Worst martini I have ever had... asked for the olives on the side, so I got less than half a martini. I did not ask for it to be dirty, so it was not tasty and was watered down with olive juice. The Caesar salad had little bits of candied nuts in as listed on a different salad.
the fondue was missing the wine taste. the dipping items? fruit was fine, the breads were all stale. I did not complain at the time as I don't like to risk retribution. I was not sure if my companion wanted dessert. We have both been there before and really enjoyed everything, but we won't be going back. Our server was delightful, sweet and friendly.
I liked the quiet place we sat.
It was a great experience! So much fun cooking at the table. Server was awesome. It’s a little pricey so I recommend for a special occasion or date night.
Way overpriced!
My son 16th birthday. I thought they will come out and say or sing Happy birthday. But over all the food was delicious and service was excellent
They had a new ordering system and we did not receive what we ordered, although the waitress corrected the mistakes. The waitress was almost too chatty/perky. Food was very good, but salads were delivered prior to vheese course, and then they kept trying to take the cheese away while we were still eating it.
Always a great place for date night. Service was exceptional. Updated options even better.
I live near the Melting Pot in Red Bank, but could not get reservations. This location was more expensive, you had to do a four course dinner and the portions were half of Red Bank when it came to vegetables , dippers etc. Unlike Res Bank they never told us or asked us if we wanted more of anything and the meat was not as good as in Red Bank.
Our server never brought out cake for my daughter’s birthday. And he was profusely sweating. Service was decent.
