The one think I can say about the Mill House is all of the staff are really friendly and service is great.
Don’t even mind paying over £5 in plastic glasses lol
We had a great night music was great not to loud service was great friendly staff
Was seated out the front where there was no atmosphere. Only 2 small heaters wasn’t enough to keep the chill off.
Starter was delicious no complaints
Main (burger) was very poor, overcooked and soggy bun.
Every single drink or food order was taken to the wrong table before finding its way to the right customer.
Patio heater wasn’t working & draft from opening in marquee.
Potable Toilets excellent.
Left early unfortunately.
Excellent - great food, friendly staff.
It was a busy Friday but all was lovely and nice to be out
Fab atmosphere it was packed! Really warm with the heaters I was sitting with my coat off! A dj came on just as we were leaving at 7.15pm. Nachos were delicious! Will definitely go again.
Lovely place & well organised . My daughter were impressive with clean toliets :)
Lovely as ever they really have embraced a covid world!
Food has gone seriously downhill since being served outside
Only draught lager that was on was Heineken and it tasted like water and was £4.85 per pint!
We didn’t order food but we didn’t really fancy paying £13 for a burger that came in a cardboard box. Pricing should reflect outdoor dining!
Most importantly they need to up there drinks game!
Amazing customer service with great food and ambience
Food was delicious! Took a little while to get our drinks, but, all good other than that.
Service was fantastic, staff were very attentive and helpful.
Food was lovely, drinks were served quickly.
Helpful and friendly staff. Lovely food. I will definitely go back for another meal.
We had 3 tables booked for my daughters 21st birthday and we had thee best time at The Mill House. All staff were so helpful, polite, friendly and very organised. Despite restrictions because of Covid, we had an amazing celebration and that’s mostly down to the fantastic team you have working for you.
My daughter managed to see most of her friends and family between 3 and 9 o’clock with staggered arrivals.
We’ll all be back, oh and the food was top class.
Thank you once again for helping this very grateful Mam to give my beautiful girl the 21st birthday she’ll never forget XXX
Fish finger sandwich came with a few leaves not worth the money at all. Asked the waitress for more tartare sauce didn’t look very happy it was as if I had troubled her too much. Also same when asking for bill
Food was lovely. Service was good and heaters very good!
Three visits to the Mill house in the last month.
Great food, great atmosphere and the staff are doing an amazing job.
Food at the millhouse was amazing as always... Mix up with the meal but went above and beyond to fix that... Will return
Lovely food and comfortable sitting in the tent. Staff were lovely
The Mill House deserves to do well as the owners and staff have really invested in creating a attractive, warm, dry environment for customers to enjoy delicious food & drinks. Will be back soon!
Awful in every aspect
Who goes to a restaurant to be served food in a takeaway carton plus a plastic glass ?
Lovely staff, great food. Nice food, even though its a bit pricy. However only bug bear, is the reuse of the paper menus, even though on another visit we were told, these were all printed and thrown away after one person used it. We saw them being used multiple times.
Warm and undercover. Felt safe and comfortable. Food delicious, great value for money
Could of stocked up on on drinks as there was only one larger on tap and no cider on tap. I wanted food but not full Sunday dinner just a beef and gravy Roll with your triple cooked chips. Me and my family just wanted something light and not full on.
We’d been looking at the menu all day and was excited to try the food (my husband fancied the burger and I was looking forward to the veggie lasagne). We found out when we got there that it’s a reduced menu on a Sunday. My husband went for the pizza instead but we were told the pizzas were finished at 6pm. We both ordered a Sunday roast but they had no cabbage, nut roast or Yorkshire puddings left.
We were disappointed because we’d been looking forward to it but what food we did get was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my tomato soup starter.
The staff were lovely, very attentive and apologetic and we were offered a free drink to compensate.
It certainly hasn’t put me off and I can’t wait to try food from the main menu.
After waiting 30 to 40 mins after starter for our mains we were told that Yorkshires had ran out even though three tables around us had them served on their plates who had sat down after us and 1 after our starter, received dinners and was OK but meat was dry and not alot of it was told pork came with crackling had none. Had dessert and although says homemade lacked that flavour, overall was disappointed in the meal for the cost paid
I’ve read some reviews that haven’t been great but after my second visit last week both occasions have been totally brilliant. The only feedback is asking the younger staff for items and then not returning with them
Thought having to pay extra for veg that should be included is totally unfair.
£2.45 for a little bit of mash same for colly and cabbage taking total for average Sunday lunch to nearly £20.
Will not return on a Sunday.
Love coming here but found Sunday very busy, overcrowded and noisy. Food was nice, didn’t wait too long for how busy it was - no complaints about the lamb but the pork was fatty with no crackling which was a shame. Cauliflower cheese was watery and cauliflower was rock hard. Mashed potato was lovely and so was the Savoy cabbage. Can’t wait for the cocktail menu it open up properly as limited selection at the minute which is understandable. Wouldn’t stop me from coming back but definitely prefer it when it’s quieter.
The staff were terrible. It felt that it was no fault of their own. the headpieces seem to give them a million directions to go in. If they had set tables to cover it may have been better. We had a time limit and sat with dirty plates after we asked twice for them to take our dessert order. We left after no one came and asked for the bill. the girl didn't even ask how our meal was. We didn't get asked if we wanted another drink after having 1 for 2 hours and empty drinks sitting there too. I was soo disappointed. I could other people at tables saying the same too. Its s shame because the sitting arrangement outside works very well and the food is fab too!
First time out out post lockdown and it was brilliant! Had a Sunday dinner and drinks on the front terrace. Service was great, food was amazing, and we felt safe and comfortable. Would definitely recommend The Mill House.
We booked here for meal and catch up with family. Although the meal was very nice I asked if I could leave off Yorkshire pudding and have a little extra veg was told no there would be extra charge. Which in other places I have had no problem with. Also were told our 2hrs min was up and had not even finished our deserts which I feel was bit harsh as we can only eat as quick as its served place was very busy being a Sun and got impression they just wanted as many in and out as they could we were not offered an alternative at all to finish drinks.
Food fantastic wen arrived, ordered 5 meals only 4 arrived and wen the fifth on arrived came with no sides and everybody else had finished eating there mains, poor service
Probably the best sunday dinner I have ever had ! I have revoked for 2 weeks time 😁😁
Food was amazing! Service was second to none. This was our first time dining here and we will certainly be back!
No wait to be seated , staff were fantastic and friendly even though rushed off there feet overall fantastic experience
Drinks were very slow in coming. The app wasn’t working on the tables however it was very busy. Would recommend as there are heaters and the dirty fries are amazing.
