   We are all for companies using youngsters for service but my god you need to train them up a bit better, we know that using youngster like you do will save you quite a bit in salaries but when it comes to our dining experience that saving spoils the whole experience, maybe the blame must lay with the management, who obviously is not checking the staff in the topee tents, how can you give out muscles without any bowels for the empty shells and no spoon, how can you give a sunday roast lunch then wait 10-15 mins for the mint sauce and ketchup for the burgers, this is just a few things of many that just was not happing, the topee tent needs to have some kind of station where the basics are kept, the kids was also very busy chatting with each other and not looking at the room for who ever needed their attention, just asking for some basic things seems to be confusing them, come on train up these youngsters and offer a bit better service , our whole sunday lunch was rather spoiled by the 5 of us,, so having now visited 3 times over the last few months we do not think that we shall be returning, at the end of the day its about management or lack of it I should say which just makes this restaurant fall short of whats to be exspected when out for lunch.

   Please accept my apologies, whilst it would be nice to employ older staff, unfortunately they seem reluctant to join the wonderful world of hospitality. Management should have been in attendance at the teepee and your young waiter who has just crossed over from pot wash to the front of house has been doing very well. The teepee supervisor was on holiday this weekend so it looks as if management were in the pub/ restaurant. I will have a conversation with all involved this week and looked to increase the training, a look at this review and my knowledge should also hopefully help in development. Simple things done well is all we try and achieve however we were clearly lacking. Thankyou for your feedback as it really helps the team understand the impact that poor service can have.

   Great service and the best steak and mushroom pie I’ve ever eaten with gravy to die for. Will certainly be recommending and returning very soon.

   The staff were very attentive & took the time to chat. They were cheerful & available. The food was absolutely amazing. A free bottle of prosseco was offered as it was my daughters birthday. Will definitely recommend & we will be visiting again.

   Really lovely Sunday lunch! Good choice of meats, veg was lovely and fresh, came out piping hot too. Generous portions. Shame there wasn’t any Cauliflower Cheese on the sides but cheesy leek was an ok alternative. 😊 Desserts looked lovely, but too full to manage one!

   Our first visit. We attended on a Sunday, for a roast. The menu was different to one advertised on their website. The starters of crayfish tail and scotch egg were lovely. Husband had roast turkey roast, and I had roast beef. The plates were full. Good selection of vegetables. I was not aware of the smaller plates of roast, otherwise I would have had that. Service was friendly and prompt. A lovely pub, decorated.
