Seafood fresh and delicious, recommend the scallops and oysters. Partner said it was the best Cullen skink he had tasted! Great choice of wines and served nicely chilled. Service excellent -friendly and attentive. This place is very popular for good reason so probably not the best choice for a leisurely dinner at peak times-. Having said that we did not feel rushed and left when we were ready. Will definitely return when visiting Edinburgh again.

Love the food, the service and the people. So much so that we had to give the manager a hug on the way out. Amazing.

This small restaurant has a really strict & short 90 minute seating timeline, which really doesn't fit a place that serves shellfish that you need to break apart. There was a miscommunication where my husband arrived an hour early to an empty restaurant and they somehow started the "clock" then. The hostess/manager later agreed to let us stay the original 90 minutes, but we still were rushed out at the end of our meal, wine still in the bottle. It honestly ruined the whole evening and what was supposed to be a splurge seafood dinner. The food was decent, but not amazing. The scallops were very delicious, as was the Cullen Skink soup. The surf & turf....the mussels were the highlight. The steak was thin, very overcooked and under seasoned. Our server was a gem, but the meal would have been so much better if we weren't constantly reminded that we needed to give up our table. Definitely felt like a waste of £150.

Staff friendly and welcoming, food we had was excellent ( haggis wellington and cullen skink starters - mussels and surf &turf ribs for main - sticky toffee pudding), reasonable prices. Would definately eat there again. Recommend.
