The New Inn at Yealand

It wasn’t open !!!! very annoyed will not use open table or go the pub again

Would recommend the new inn to anyone who is in the area of yealand, the alcohol selection was excellent and the service was brilliant, food came at just the right intervals and was outstanding, will definitely be returning.

First time visit overall a good meal and friendly atmosphere.

This was our 3rd visit and probably the last could not believe the changes
Menu disappointing service acceptable food one dish reasonably ,other dish
disappointing .
Sorry for this review we where really looking forward to the evening but left
disappointed.

Lovely lunch, relaxing environment, safety measures in place. Will return when allowed.

Absolutely lovely evening, from the moment we arrived to our departure. Staff provided excellent and professional services, especially in these unusual times. The food was amazing, delicious and top quality.

One of the best meals we have ever had from start to finish, we shared a goats cheese starter , i had sea bream, beautiful, my girlfriend had chicken ,also beautiful, desserts fantastic, accompanied by a wonderful Carlos V red wine and all served by one of the friendliest most pleasent waiters we've ever had the pleasure to be served by, all in all a great dining experience.

Great .. and dog friendly too .

A lovely meal, service with a smile and humour. The service made our experience a memorable one! We would love to eat here again if in the area. It was one of the tastiest meals we have ever enjoyed with lots of thought gone into the presentation. I would highly recommend!!

Another great example of super food, helpful, friendly service and fine selection of drinks. Never been disappointed at the New Inn. Remember to book in advance. Good Covid-19 arrangements in place. We will be back soon!

This was our second visit, food was tasty & well presented and the staff were very welcoming. Lovely warm place on a chilly autumn night.

The food was very good but COVID has altered the atmosphere and it’s such a shame as it used to be so vibrant.
Staff were very attentive though and generally trying very hard to make it a good experience

Table to small for 4 people and no need for wood burner as we all were to warm

Lovely service and great food. No fuss when we asked if they could vary the kids meals a bit.

We've dined here a few times and the food is always excellent. Plenty of parking. Very nice staff. Hard floors and no linen but it isn't noisy and dogs are welcome. wood burner adds ambience and welcome warmth.

Burnt charred shallots were inedible, olives were excellent, menu for main courses and desserts is very limited, standards are slipping for a venue which has great potential.

All 6 plates we ordered were exceptional, it was hard to rank them they were just all out of this world. Apparently all their veggie food is great, I had the curried cauliflour thing to start, was amazing. Then chicken and lemon posset. OH had soup, lamb and sticky toffee pud. Service was friendly, efficient happy to chat when we instigated. Overall amazing experience. We left very happy.

Fabulous evening, food was amazing, staff were extremely attentive.

Very glad to be able to get good food, quickly served, in pleasant surroundings, after a tiring day in NW Cumbria and the journey back. We shared the lemon posset with mini doughnut, which was delicious.

Gorgeous Sunday lunch in a well managed covid secure venue. Food and service was excellent.

Our "go to" restaurant for every occasion. Assured quality food food, "bon ami" from the maitre d'hotel every time, pleasant surroundings and a reasonable l'addition to finish up with.

Great food, great wine, great staff...but the evening was over-powered by a table of 6 rather 'vocal' diners. My friend and I could not hear each other and it was spoiling the evening, so we asked to be moved. The staff understood and moved us without any fuss, which was really appreciated. My favourite place to go at the moment and VERY Covid Safe! WELL DONE EVERYONE!

Excellent as usual all though menu is quite limited Highly recommend the sea bream and cheesecake
