I ordered the fish and chips which was lovely and my friend ordered the Wagyu beef burger. However, during the evening she became unwell with a bad stomach and could only put it down to the the beef burger which seemed to me was under cooked. This was a shame as it was a belated birthday meal for her.

A very lovely evening at The Nook for my mother in laws birthday. Although we were in for a very early dinner there was still a lovely ambience and the food was outstanding. I believe the menu had changed since we were last in (Sept), so, I think they must cater for what is in season. And what's not to like about that?!

We've been looking forward to trying out this new place in Cheltenham and I'm pleased to say it didn't disappoint. The ambience was lovely with beautiful sparkly views. Service was good and the food yummy. The fillet just melted in my mouth.

We didn’t pay for my main or dessert. My steak was undercooked which should have been obvious on the pass as it was sliced and my overall dinner was lukewarm. My dessert was actually cold and had to go back too. These are not really acceptable errors for such prices. Second time we’ve been disappointed here to be honest. It’s a shame as it’s such a nice place to be but you can’t keep getting wrong. I would still recommend but won’t forever!

Chose the Nook for my husbands 50th and we were not disappointed. Atmosphere and food delicious especially enjoyed the pianist . It was also lovely that you take the lift to the fifth floor to the restaurant and met as soon as you arrive . The views are fantastic. Staff were also very attentive and pleasant. Thank you .

Our first visit, for a special occasion which the staff helped us to celebrate! We both had duck which was excellent, then we shared interesting cheeses, and a tasty date pudding. The fries were nice but the mayonnaise would have been better on the side, as there was too much of it! It was a quiet evening, so maybe there would be more atmosphere on a busier evening. We would visit again for a special occasion, and when there was an evening view.

We had a delightful evening, the Music requests were a lovely touch, the food was on point and our waitress was always present without being obtrusive. We can’t wait to celebrate my birthday with you on New Year’s Eve.

I always want the Nook to be great because of the location but every time I go there it disappoints. The main problem is the food. It really isnt of good enough quality to charge the prices they charge. We had the lunch menu and the starter Mackeral salad I could have made myself in 2 minutes by chucking a few ingredients in a bowl. the dessert was rock hard and felt like it had been heated up under the grill. It was also minute.. Just not good enough when there are plenty of other options in Cheltenham.

Perfect place, food was very high quality....I had duck breast and it was delicious. A lovely French Martini cocktail. Service was amazing, totally attentive without feeling they were even there. Totally recommended.

First time at the Nook, for our anniversary meal. The staff were all lovely, and so kindly brought us over 2 glasses of prosecco to celebrate. The main was delicious, we both had the fillet. Really amazing flavours. We found the deserts a little underwhelming, I had the apple terrine and my partner the brownie. Neither blew us away but that’s fine. Add a creme brûlée onto the menu and you’d be onto a winner! The ambience was lovely, we really enjoyed the piano versions of well known songs. Wasn’t too loud but also wasn’t awkwardly quiet. Overall a really wonderful experience, thank you to the nook!

We booked for the a la carte menu, not the Halloween special. On arrival, we were told that the Halloween tapas was the only thing that the restaurant was serving. To be fair, the staff were apologetic and gave us a £50 voucher for an onward dining experience. However, the evening was chaotic. Service was really slow and non-existent for certain courses. Drinks took more than 25 minutes to be arrived, so food was served before we'd had apertifs. The point of the Nook is its views, and these had been obscured by Halloween decorations. The food, itself, was poor. Prawn skewers was so spicy as to be inedible. The other food was akin to a child's birthday party. There was a strange pair of dancing twins writhing in front of the tables, which was just plain weird! Overall, very disappointed, as we'd looked forward to our evening. I doubt we will return.

Great food and service in a lovely venue. We went on the night they had live music which added to the evening. The group were great and their sound level perfect for the restaurant. Lovely warm greeting on arrival and given a choice of tables. We'd brought cocktails up from the bar downstairs so the server told us to let him know when we wanted our welcome drink that was included so we didn't miss out. All the courses were delicious and the service very attentive but unintrusive - they noticed when our wine was low and topped it up accordingly. The bill was good value as we had the set price option and the waitress even brought the tip back as she thought we'd accidentally overpaid.

Very nice restaurant. Not a huge choice on the menu but food was good. They ran out of desserts which was disappointing but I guess good for them. Nice touch with pianist and request slips (not that he played our requests!!). Overall pretty good, would recommend.

I was expecting great things from this place after so many good reviews but this place is just 'ok'. The food wasn't great or super tasy, it was just 'ok', presented nicely but in my opion lacked flavour. I certainlly didn't leave thinking wow that was amazing food. Drinks were good and the service was fine. For me the lighting was too bright in there which for an evening setting can make a place. It depends upon what standard of food you're used to.

Got there a little early, to a warm welcome and eager to service staff. From the Hostess - as you walk out of the elevator, to the barman - shacking drinks every 5 minutes, to the service staff... everything was immaculate from start to finish. I am now the hero for booking a table at "The NOOK". So thank you so much for making us feel so welcomed, important and looked after. you will definitely NOT be seeing the last of me :) if I could give 10 stars I would!!
