In 2016 the Old School BBQ was born, using a freshly imported 1982 Bluebird International American school bus from Arizona as a mobile kitchen.

The bus was converted from a traditional seated bus to a fully functional kitchen, with smokers and griddles to cook low and slow BBQ food. The OSB journey had begun, trading from humble beginnings on a local pub car park in Failsworth.

Our little yellow bus soon became a familiar landmark and we became more and more popular with lunch goers who wanted freshly prepared, appetising food served with a smile. Soon demand meant that we would be more often than not greeting our customers with a "sold out" sign, so it was time to expand.

So here we are, with a covered seated area serving our firm favourites, complemented with a fully licenced bar and WC facilities... did we mention the stage? That's right, we also provide live music from various acts from near and far - we are sure you will find our eatery to be like no other!

First time visiting, service was prompt and polite. Food and drinks were served timely and very tasty. The music and atmosphere were good. Really enjoyed our visit. Will come again

The food is great, good range of cocktails. The service is good and the ambience is good. It is such a unique dining experience thats well worth a visit.

I knew it was going to be good, but it far exceeded what I thought it would be. It service team were impeccable, welcoming and friendly - we wanted for nothing and they wanted nothing more than for you to have a great experience. The quality of the food and value for money was great; the food was so tasty and portion size was happily surprising especially these days where everyone seems to be charging more for smaller portions - well no here! Thanks again and you will be seeing us very soon, with some more family and friends who will no doubt enjoy themselves as much as we have.

Second time we’ve been, fast service, pleasant staff, nice cocktails and the food comes quickly and is well made and good portions too, quickly going to become a favourite restaurant of mine 👍🏽

First came here in 2018 when it first opened, have been once since just before covid and again last night. The place goes from strength to strength, always looking to improve which is brilliant. Great music, amazing food, price was exceptional for what we ordered! The owner was there too, happy to sit and chat, explain what he wants to do next to keep on improving, and it was so nice to see his staff interact with him on sight, as it’s not some faceless corporate machine. It’s worth the journey and I cannot wait to return.

Portion size has gone down, it was very noisy so it was difficult to have a conversation. Staff are lovely and it didn't take too long for food to be served.
