Great food and ambiance for outside dining with family and young kids! Wonderful food and service!
Delicious happy hour tacos. Half priced Ninfaritas. Patio dining. What’s not to love?
Our server Benni was excellent!!
Even though I got a rez, the place was closed for renovations. I have eaten there before and it’s good.
Unfortunately when we got there they were closed. They said they were closed for renovation from Sunday to Tuesday which seem odd since there wasn’t any construction going on on Sunday. Probably won’t be returning.
Fine design, excellent service, great food. One of Houston's finest Mexican restaurants!
Food and service were excellent! We all enjoyed our meals.
"uptown margaritas" were fabulous. My Salmon mole was perfect. Crusty outside and so tender inside. The sauces with it were delicious but..not hot.
We ordered pork enchiladas and the meat was very dry
beans and rice for both orders were lukewarm. Our server was very attentive and had good sense of humor.
New year eve
Everything was great but the music was way too loud!
I order a chicken fajita salad. When the food arrived it was beef fajitas. I have a heart condition can not eat red meat. They said no problem be tight back. When the salad came back it was not chicken fajitas. They are flat and usually have char marks on them. The chicken I got was awful. Think they took a chicken breast and just pan fried it. The waitress kept telling me it is chicken fajitas however it was not. It was a fat thick strip of chicken. Also kept trying to run up the bill. Wanted us to order high dollar margaritas desert etc. I honestly believe it was the worst chicken I have ever eaten in my life. Brought the chicken home for the dog.
We left with the worst stomach aches! Be careful!
I ordered the brisket flautas. They were extremely dry. As if they were cooked and reheated. I was so hungry so I just ate them.
Good portions, proactive and friendly hospitality which were good but service would have been better if it felt less rushed when ordering and paying the bill. Taste and flavouring are ok. However, a lot of the dishes tasted similar. The grilled octopus was less impressive since it was bland, rubbery and it was lacking in presentation. Nonetheless, overall, it was a pleasant experience
Excellent service. The best we have had in a long time. The food was great, too.
We always have Mexican food on Christmas Eve. This year, it was just me and my immediate family, so we decided to go out to eat instead of ordering at home. We have eaten at Ninfa’s several times, but never at the Uptown location. This location does not look like the “original”, but I get that they are catering to a specific demographic. It was tastefully decorated. My 18 year old son even commented that he loved the open ceiling and pendant lights.
Our waiter informed us that it was Happy Hour! Score! My husband and I each chose the Uptown Margarita to drink. Very tasty and smooth. For dinner we shared beef fajitas. My son had carnitas and my daughter had tacos al pastor. All the dishes were delicious and we only came home with a small portion of al pastor since we finished off everything else.
Our dinner was enjoyable and it was great to be with my family. The staff was super nice and everyone said Merry Christmas as we left. We will continue to come back to Ninfa’s!
Had dinner on the patio. The weather was beautiful and the food was wonderful. The cars out on the street can be pretty loud, but overall the experience was terrific.
Another fabulous meal at Ninfas Uptown. They have really stepped their game up and food quality is consistently awesome. Great margaritas, good service, wonderful food.
Our waitress,Hortencia,made everything wonderful.
The food was excellent.
Fabulous! The food was outstanding. The tequila selection is phenomenal. Service is top notch.
Horrible service wherein they forget your order, utensils, and can't even bring salt and pepper when you ask for it
I would totally recommend going to Ninfa's Uptown. The food was excellent and so was the service. It can be a bit noisy sitting on the patio due to San Felipe street but there is not much the restaurant can do about it.
Overall a really good experience.
we were sitting outside, so it was quite. inside it’s a bit more loud and colder, so bring your light jacket on :)
Very very good!
love the different shrimp diablo offerings. guacamole is fresh and tasty. a bit more expensive than would have been expected.
Seriously, the best service we’ve had in a while!!!
Always a good choice.
Great food, good service. Not cheap, but fair value
Great place to conduct a business meeting.
Fajitas were not as tasty as I would've wanted. Plain not even salt so disappointed. Service was awesome. Santos did a great Job. Drinks were amazing too. We loved the queso torearo or con chorizo. Flan was not good
I made this reservation weeks ago for a birthday. The server wasn’t very friendly and never mentioned us being there for a special occasion or a birthday. Food was OK. Will probably go elsewhere next time for Mexican food.
Above and beyond to help!
The food was great, as always! Good, pleasant service. BUT - the noise level was extreme. We almost had to yell to be heard, and there were only four of us. Ninfa's needs to put more distance between tables...
Food was mediocre. I have been eating at Ninfas for 30 years and this was the worst it’s ever been. Very disappointing. Have been to Navigation location in last few months and it was good. This was very, very bland, chips were over cooked, service was slow. Will never eat at this location again!
Brought me back to old Ninfa’s. Excellent.
So glad to have at table card reader for paying bill. Finally! This was at every restaurant in Canada 2 years ago. So much safer.
unremarkable and many better places for quality Mexican food in Houston
from the spilled rice, plastic cutlery, napkins scattered on the floor at several tables, to the dirty table tops to the deafening street noise and hence shouting customers, our visit was a huge disappointment. don't go blaming inadequate staff - there were plenty of staff for the number of tables. when the people at the next table finally decamped, the busboy quickly and quietly removed all the "stuff" from the table, and the waitress came out with an absolutely filthy broom to sweep up the mess on the floor - attacking it from our side, waving that thing under our noses as we were just about to begin eating. the rice and all the mess were on the other side of the table!! the green sauce used to be a big draw, and it is now tasteless. the red sauce was pretty good. two people got two tortillas, period. the chile relleno was a waste of money - a blanched pepper filled with cheese, not fried or stuffed. lots and lots of onions, almost no grilled bell pepper, and very overcooked meat. my guest asked for medium, and it was very much well done. no refills on her Coke and my water, a tablespoon of guacamole. the street noise was simply deafening. whoever designed the patio needs to go back to school. and then the people HOLLERING at the football game !!! my guest didn't seem to mind, but we could not hear ourselves speak across the table. i wanted to sit inside, but she wanted the patio -BIG mistake.
our server did his best, that I could tell. there was a significant language barrier. but he forgot to bring us napkins and silverware, offered no refills on the coke/water, and could not understand my question about the bill. the $25 gift card was the only reason we were there - my mistake.
