Staff are always lovely, friendly and efficient. Food is delicious and excellent value for money. Decor could do with sprucing a bit and it does feel a bit of an empty space but amazing value for money.
Really lovely. Beautiful setting and good service. The menu was a little limited but what we had was good.
The service and quality of food were excellent and very good value for money. The menu range was unimaginative and more suited to a pub than an elegant restaurant. Also the restaurant looked ‘tired’ hence the rating of four vice five stars.
The restaurant never fails to disappoint us with its food, service & of course great value for money
Good food at a good price , we always dine there when we visit Torquay
The staff were all really engaging and helpful with my elderly in-laws. Thank you.
Another good dinner served by Oliver and his team, all done.
Small over cooked dishes , kids food poor and expensive. Would never eat there again
Very friendly and to be honest, though there are many hotels in and around Torquay, the Crescent has a little bit more class.
Very good service, friendly staff and food was first class. Thank you for a great experience!
Sunday lunch is always special here. The food delicious, the staff friendly and attentive and the view, stunning.
The service is great but when we went some of the food was not available. The place could do with some work. It was also dark inside the restaurant.
Friendly knowledgeable service and excellent service. Highly recommend
Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed by The Crescent restaurant. The soup my partner had was tasteless (although the restaurant did, to their credit knock it off the bill) and my salad lacked taste and any sort of finesse which you'd expect from its £7 price tag. The scallops themselves were OK but served with a cold pea puree and limp bacon. Again, way overpriced at £12. My main course of chicken supreme wasn't too bad taste-wise but for £19 I expected something a lot more adventurous. Overall the service was good, prompt and courteous but the menu was uninspiring (I forgot to mention that half of the menu seemed unavailable that night) and overpriced.
Yet again amazing food and service. Thank you
Overall, it’s was a way to spend Sunday lunch. The waiter was attentive and professional. The food was very nice, would have been nice to have a cheese board choice.
I have booked a table again for the 14th of December. It’s a great location, atmospheric and relaxing.
Both food and service were fantastic, and we really enjoyed our meal. I was surprised that it was relatively quiet, especially as we were there on a Saturday night. I suspect this might be to do with their slightly confusing website which really doesn't do the restaurant justice. This is a great place for a special meal. Ignore the website and give it a go!
Very enjoyable evening lovely food ...scallops starter was overpriced for size.Mains good plaice and seabream nice flavours ,well presented .
Evening made special by thoses that waited on us made it lovely for my mum. They will know who they are....great talent for decorating the christmas trees!!.Thank you
Good fresh cooked food at a good price & good value for money
It was very quiet there last Sunday lunchtime and feel they could really do with some background music so you can speak okay rather than feeling you need to whisper. The food was good value for money however the drinks are expensive though as the cheapest wines are from £20 and even a medium priced one wasn't great we have had better ones we bought in the supermarket for under £7 and not served at the right temperature, even 2 small lemonades were charged at £7 and 4 small coffees at £14 with not even a chocolate or small biscuit so thought that was overpriced.
Excellant food and service with the right level of service from the professional and friendly staff. The food choices were good as was the wine selections. Everything supplied looked apetising and we felt was excellant value for money.
Great food and excellent service by the staff
Outstanding food and service a chef who knows exactly what good dinning is all about 5 star
very little choice on menu nothing outstanding but very pricey ,location and service very good
Great food & service, good value. It was a great location next to the sea, we enjoyed it very much, we will return very soon.
We booked in for a quiet meal & were pleasantly surprised with the quality & service.
My wife and I celebrated our ruby wedding here and really enjoyed it, the food was lovely and the staff brilliant would definitely recommend
I never recommend in case something goes wrong but I would use restaurant again
I think crisp clean tablecloths in the evening
would get higher abience mark from me
I did mention my surprise and disappointment when faced with a guest wearing shorts to dinner with heavily haired legs, rather off putting
Poor quality food at high prices. Main courses served over 4 days of my stay were not fresh but frozen food. Tastless and bland. Some of the deserts were good. Shame really as the waiting staff were amazing, helpful and apologetic for the dreadful food served.
We have time share and this was the best meal for quite a while. The restaurant was informal but still good for a special occasion and the service was very good.
