The Oxford Blue dates back to the 1800’s. Originally two game keepers cottages, it was then converted into a traditional Inn and has served the local community ever since, in a number of different guises.
Acquired in 2015 by Chef Proprietor, Steven Ellis, the property has undergone a magnificent transformation marrying the finest elements of tradition with modern practicalities and comfort.
Our dishes are based upon tradition and comfort, yet presented with a modern twist. We are working with some of the United Kingdom’s most established suppliers to ensure that we use only the highest quality ingredients.

This was my first visit on Sunday 17 Feb 2018. I went there because while searching online for the best restaurants in Windsor, this came up with some very good reviews and I must say I wasn't disappointed. Everything was wonderful and I am one of those fussy ladies who love good quality and service. Oxford Blue has all and our waiter Liz was excellent and very friendly and I think Chris also (hope thats his name) who kept my coat was very friendly. I will be a regular to this place now and bring more new customers. The friend I came with has worked in a high end restaurants and she said about 6 times - " I like this place". So please Oxford Blue staff and management well done and keep up the good work !

Another great meal at the Oxford Blue. Superb food and presentation. Service sometimes verging on being over-attentive and not quite as slick as it could be but always with a smile. Prices up slightly I think on where they started a while back but still very fair given the quality of the cooking and ingredients etc. A real favourite for us and head and shoulders above the local competition.

We went here after reading such great reviews and were not disappointed! Absolutely delicious food, fantastic service and lots of little surprises (I won't give them away, it's much more fun when you get there!)

It won't be long before they've got a star. We will definitely be going back.

We had a lovely lunch on Valentine´s day with our Teenie kids and lots of fun talking to the waiter in Italian and chatting with our neighbours next table.
Food was excellent and the team of Oxford Blue made every wish come true!!!
We will be back :-)

Great service here, lots of small touches which made our lunch very special. The starters were amazing, as were the desserts. The roast was lovely but hard to say amazing as it was a Sunday roast.

Good but under seasoned and somewhat underwhelming dining. Somewhat more expensive than Locando Locatelli in Seymour place London W1 for a comparable dinner. Nothing dreadful but really overpriced, back to the Carpenters Arms ,Sunninghill.

A birthday celebration thoroughly enjoyed with outstanding service and food. Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed meal to celebrate a special occasion. Will definitely be repeating the experience.

This place is something special and will no doubt be receiving a coveted star soon. The food is absolutely fantastic - I had the mushroom tartlet, pheasant and chocolate dessert and all three were simply divine. The amouse bouche, cider bread and finisher are lovely little treats and you could not possibly leave this place hungry. Special mention to our server Hannah who recommended our wine, explained each dish in great detail and constantly topped up our drinks (including water) without ever being in our faces. I will definitely be back!

I very very rarely leave reviews but feel an exception must be made on this occasion!
I have had the good fortune to eat at many exceptional restaurants over the years and all over the world, The Oxford blue is right up there.
If you want an authentic and lovely dining experience with exceptional food , hospitality and service then this is the place to come.
We had the most amazing Sunday lunch , from the complimentary venison pre starter to the chocolate at the end (prob the best I've ever had!) From the welcome to our leaving we were looked after perfectly
The staff were exceptional, the food and the cheese board sublime and the ambience and decor relaxing intimate and cosy and very tasteful even down to the blues playing quietly in the gentlemans WC!
if only other places could even come close to this establishment , we will be back soon.

This was our second visit to The Oxford Blue after a lovely anniversary lunch late last year. This time it was for my daughter's 16th Birthday and they really made it a special celebration. The service is spot on, attentive without being overbearing and friendly without being too over familiar. We chose the set lunch menu which is extremely good value, with lots of complimentary extras such as the amuse-bouche of venison bon bons, home made warm cider bread, and salted caramel chocolate. The set menu comprised traditional dishes with a modern twist and much of the produce is locally sourced including the venison in the cottage pie, which was divine. The restaurant is thoroughly deserving of the recent awards it has been scooping and I look forward to finding an excuse to return soon!

Celebrated our 13th wedding Anniversary off the back of a recommendation !!! Great experience and from the moment we walked through the door we were looked after all evening. We had a waitress Liz who was great ! very knowledgeable and really prompt and professional. Will defo be back !!!
