Excellent service and food
This is a beautiful venue in a great setting and a must try. The service is amazing with everyone bending over backwards to make your time as good as it can be. The food is delicious too!
Lovely lunch here yesterday. I would highly recommend.
They went over an above for my wife's birthday.
We went to celebrate my Husband’s birthday. We booked outdoor seating but due to weather we couldn’t sit outside. But the inside ambiance was equally good. Lady who served us was very kind and friendly. Limited choice on Menu but Lovely food and not overly priced. Staff was very warm and welcoming. Enjoyed the evening.
Overall disappointing as the meal offered was not as expected. Not a 3 course Sunday lunch but a choice from a very limited menu at a budget of £37.50 per head without prior sight of the menu beforehand. This was a gift so no knowledge of value. The food served was very unimpressive. Only the staff and the setting were acceptable. Would I recommend - definitely not.
Normally I would never post a negative review but, this was not normal. My wife was given the wrong meal. She said she was happy to wait for the correct meal. My meal had already arrived, albeit without the sauce.
My wife's meal eventually arrived and she was offered extra potatoes which she declined.
The meal, evening, the moment was ruined. This was not the reason for my complaint. 20 minutes later as we left, my wife was violently ill. I can only assume that the chicken was not properly cooked. She felt terrible. Fortunately, the morning after, she was OK otherwise we would have taken things much further.
We would not have written this if it was just slow or there was a mix up with the order as we do not want to cause problems to restaurants trying hard. Mistakes can be made. But mistakes causing customers to be really ill need to be raised.
The location is to die for, however we spent 30 mins trying to find the restaurant. Venue is within the grounds of a Stately home that was very poorly signposted. I had booked outdoor seating for 6pm in mid-September on, what had been, a hot day. As the sun went down, the patio heaters went on and it all added to the wonderful ambiance.
Food was lovely, quality ingredients, however too much sea salt was added to my salad. When I asked for a replacement, it wasn’t too much effort for them to do so very quickly. Fantastic service. Although the restaurant prices are costly, you do pay for what you get - great quality food and drinks.
We booked the table for my Mothers 84th Birthday lunch. The weather was lovely and the Terrace is a stunning setting for a treat. My mother has complex dietary needs and I felt that the chef and staff couldn't do more to make her day special. We all enjoyed the food which was delicious.
Best of all, the staff at Oakley Court were all so helpful and friendly. I'd like to say a special thank you to Antoneta who was delightful.
Thank you Oakley Court we will definitely see you again.
Our second visit for a lovely lunch on the terrace after arriving by boat.
Service was excellent, food very good but weirdly, for the second time, they were mowing the lawn right next to the eating area at lunchtime? It was lovely once he’d finished, but maybe take care of the lawn first thing and not at lunchtime?
This review would have been 5 stars overall- we had a lovely afternoon - but the large, stuffed, chilli peppers had been stuffed and were served with seeds still inside. This made them too hot and a bit of a shock as there was no verbal warning when they were served. We had to dissect them to remove seeds but this was after the first, large, mouthful. Surroundings were beautiful and staff all pleasant and lovely.
Very good costumer service, ambience and lovely pizza . Thank you for all the staff.
Very slow service. Not once offered to pour wine or champagne for us which is usually pretty standard.
Fantastic place, great service; food and atmosphere
Can’t wait to be back soon
Food did arrive so quickly, but the waitress service prioritization was weird.
THE MOST AMAZING SETTING, THE MOST AMAZING STEAK,
Lovely outside terrace, great food and a wonderful waitress
Wonderful Sunday lunch. Great atmosphere, and great service.
We had dinner on the terrace, the view ambience and the staff werw
Young staff trying hard with limited menu and little visible management. English fizz was good. Lovely surroundings of course.
An amazing setting next to the Thames River. The food was great and the service was excellent. We look forward to coming back again for dinner.
No staff available at reception to show us where the restaurant was - in fact no staff to be seen at all. Menu very limited and is the same for lunch and dinner
A fabulous place in an amazing setting. I organised a table for my wife's birthday with friends, and Antionetta looked after us superbly for our entire 4 hour stay. Awesome place. Only criticism was that the menu was a little limited in choice.
Was disappointed that the lunch Terrace menu listed on the Restaurant web site wasn't the one offered on the day. On enquiries it appears the web site shows a combined lunch menu but many items are not offered on the terrace or are priced differently. The items that both my wife and I had selected before arrival were not available on the terrace. Couldn't fault the staff though, very pleasant and attentive.
The quality of food was below average. The starter was very expensive for what was served, for 3 slices of bread and five very small pieces of smoked salmon the charge was about 35 pounds. For main we had 2 ribeye stakes, the one was good but the other one fatty with many veins. The service was below average and slow and the staff not so polite as you would expect from a good hotel.
Wonderful venue, great setting but food and service not really lived up to the hype/expectation. I’d recommend this place for drinks as food is a bit hit and miss in both the offering and quality. Stick to sharers/starters to avoid disappointment. Staff looked tired and not bothered, didn’t get the attire tbh, I get it’s a garden but jeans and T-shirt reminded me of a pub like setting, which would’ve probably costed a lot less and had a veggie burger on the menu to go with the vibe. Service was beyond disappointing from the beginning, the lady made us feel on edge and once we asked to go inside it all went downhill as we were the forgotten table. Had we known they can turn on the heaters, maybe would’ve stayed outside as it was a better atmosphere. All in all, I’d say worth going for the view and setting, especially in warm weather but don’t have expectations of having more than an average meal/experience for a pretentious bill, of course. Having said that, drinks were decently priced hence why I’d recommend it for a cocktails/drink type afternoon!
Amazing food and service in a wonderful setting!
Staff really polite and friendly and food great too.
It was a pleasant visit, beautiful garden, fessh food and friendly staff.
Overpriced food and abrupt, curt service. Ordered drink overlooked until requested again. Waiter seemed to think it cleaver to answer back and give excuses rather than show the type of courtesy we have expected at Oakleigh Court.
Poor range if desserts didn't hel; and couldn't wait to get away have spent over £100 for 2
Service very good.
Prices not so good
£11 for 3 small slices of bread and £5 for a small bowl of boiled potatoes.
Think that even allowing for overheads it is far too pricey for sides.
Steaks were very good.
The menu was not up to much. Fish was over cooked and desert, panacotta was not set, it was like gruel. The menu choice was poor, not enough to choose from and what was there was bland and unappetising . Not the standard from last year which was great.
We had lunch on the terrace and then moved to the riverside house for drinks and desserts.
It was lovely to see the refurbished version with lots of activities for children.
We had a very nice family day out.
Beautiful setting but very limited menu and no daily specials on offer. Would benefit from more choice and more reasonably priced main courses.
A beautiful setting next to the river. We had a lovely lunch. The menu is not large but there is enough to choose from. The Afternoon Tea looked amazing!
There are some harsh reviews on Tripadvisor!
We will definitely return with friends next time
Great food and service. Staff were great, friendly, helpful. Pricey!
Very limited menu choice and poor value for money
Lovely outdoor setting and food. Great family evening meal.
Beautiful setting and a stunning house. Plenty of choice for a lunch menu.
Excellent food in a lovely setting. Friendly and efficient service.
