The food was high quality and tasted delicious but small portions and very expensive. The service was also poor; forgot to come back to take my order and had to ask chef, brought wrong drinks and staff member abrupt

Hospitable staff, great food, the dining room is beautiful.
The lunch was great, voted down a bit for the limited menu. Service at the ‘restaurant’ was friendly but trattoria level eg grated cheese laden focaccia meant a messy table for the main course. We were left with it. But our enjoyment of the food was totally spoilt when I received an email telling me that we were a no show including the note about jeopardizing the future of the restaurant. It was an error of the reception desk at the entrance to the dining hall. When we queried it we were told all the things we must have done wrong for this to happen by Annapaula who totally lacked the customer service gene, which was probably not assisted by her incomplete knowledge of the English language. The Harrods experience is soured permanently for us.
