What a lovely place. The decor is somewhat dated, but that just adds to its charm. There was ample choice on the menu to cater for our party & the food didn’t disappoint. The service was attentive without being over bearing. We thought it great value, for 5 lots of mains, desserts and drinks at £88. It’s definitely worth avoiding the touristy trap places and heading here.

We ate here with two adults and five children, three of whom have special needs. The landlady was fabulously understanding and accommodating. We felt very comfortable and unworried about our somewhat noisy children as there was no feeling of us being a nuisance, and there was a lot of space in the dining room, so we were uncrowded. The landlady was very good about providing a straw for the child who can't drink without one and copious ketchup in individual pots for the others. She was also very discrete about asking if we wanted desert, so we didn't have to have a full on discussion with all the children. The kitchen was also very accommodating about dietary requirements of one of our party.

Perfect meal in a perfect location would recommend it to any one. Food was out of this world mostly home cooked and very friendly staff noting was too much trouble. If you want good food then this is the place to go.
