Even though in my starter the prawn wasn’t deveined and on my main the beef was tough, the flavours were beautifully balanced, service was excellent and the ambience was perfect. Not my first time at The Pepper Mill and won’t be my last.

A country themed menu for Saturday night dinner. As always the menu doesn’t always describe the dishes exactly and the main French course was definitely a departure from what was expected. A step above the description. Would have been lovely if Landlord had been available for my visitors but it’s only a minor thing. Starters and mains all excellent. Great service and rounded off with a lovely cappuccino (not all restaurants do good coffee) I am not tiring of dinner here at all!

Incredible from start to finish! The steak and peppercorn sauce was genuinely the best I’ve had in a long time. The German wine we chose was incredible and the general atmosphere and staff was just great. I’d highly recommend here for a lovely meal anytime and can’t wait to come back
