The petersham is a beautiful setting. The staff were delightful. The food was very nice. But We were charged £50 a head for one of each item-you cannot ask for more of anything. Having been for other afternoon teas, you are normally offered more of items. So therefore I would not recommend based on the food, but maybe just for a fancy experience.
Wonderful food and also very good for vegetarians and vegans.
Amazing service! Staff are friendly, helpful and inviting!!
The atmosphere is rather loud, but that adds to the appeal, lively buzz and hum of a highly regarded and loved restaurant :)
Beautiful restaurant with excellent food and service
Had the tasting menu and wine flight, which was all excellent. The sommelier was very knowledgeable. Only criticism was it came out very quickly so hadn't had chance to finish previous drink. Food and wine were both excellent. Staff very attentive and friendly. Ambiance was also lovely
We thought we had a booking in the garden but it was an inside table which was disappointing. There is no bread provided and the portions are small with a lack of vegetables. My appetiser was so small it wasn't worth bothering. The main course needed some potatoes or bread or something to go with it as I was still hungry. We didn't bother with dessert as expected a third disappointment. Prices are high for what you get and the wine is rather mean as served in 125ml rather than 175ml which is the norm nowadays. The Sicilian white wine was not very nice so we swapped for a Gavi which was much better. So overall poor value for money.
Very small amount of food, not really worth the money. It’s a beautiful setting but just too expensive for what you get.
We had the afternoon tea raising funds for Indian elephants:
The food was unique ,very tasty and accompanied with a Hibiscus cocktail .
A lovely atmosphere and service was OK. My friend and I were unimpressed and disappointed with the value and content of the afternoon tea (much more sweet than savoury) and only £1 of the £55 per person donated to their fundraising.
Very pleasant and excellent cooking.
We apprecizted it very much.
Absolutely delicious meal with the friendliest staff that made us feel really welcome and special. We will be returning. Thank you Petersham for the experience
Dear Daniel, The all team is joining me to thank you again for your lovely comment. It was a pleasure hosting you at The Petersham and we are all looking forward your next visit. Best Regards, TR - General Manager
Beautiful setting and impecable service, but the portion sizes are unbelievably small. 3 (small) half courgettes £24 and that was the main course! Friends had the chicken ... think they split the breast between their 2 plates. So all very lovely but overpriced.
Dear Suzanne, Thank you very much for sharing your feedback following your recent visit at the restaurant. i am delighted to read that you enjoyed both service and ambiance. I am however sorry that you felt portions were not adequate, be assured that this will be discussed internally and amended. We shall hope seeing you again at The Petersham
Beautiful place. Portions minute for how much is charged especially the monkfish . One mouthful for £30 ish shocking .
Beautifully presented food which tasted as good as it looked. Modern Italian flavours- so fresh. The only negative comment I can make about the food was the cheese board was disappointing compared to the rest of the menu- sparse and a little cold. Our Sicilian waiter was fantastic and extremely personable. Wine list was a little on the pricey side- very little under £60/bottle. Cocktails are amazing. Will definitely be back, just won’t order the cheese board
Dear LynnS, Thank you very much for sharing your though following your visit at The Petersham. I am glad to read that you enjoyed the cuisine style and flavours of our plates. I also noted your point regarding our cheese selection and will review this with our executive chef. We look forward welcoming you again soon . TR General Manager
The staff are AMAZING. Honestly some of the best service I’ve ever experienced. We had the afternoon tea and it was beautiful from start to finish. The food was delicious, as well as being visually appealing. The choices of teas were vast, and the atmosphere was wonderful. You have the feeling of being outside even though you’re not. Every detail has been considered and you’re made to feel special from the moment you arrive. I could not recommend it enough.
I requested a happy birthday surprise, but they simply forgot to do it! also, one of the waiters was so rude!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never going back and NEVER recommend it!
Simple, delicately presented food of the highest ingredients. Got a birthday ice cream too! Really enjoyed the evening.
The atmosphere was way better than both the food and service. Such a shame that such bad food is being served in such a lovely space
Lovely setting, staff amazing and attentive and knowledgeable. Food was excellent.
Dear Smudge, Thank you very much for sharing your review of the Petersham. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed every aspects of your experience and are looking forward welcoming you again soon. TR - General Manager
Quite expensive for the portion size but food was tasty.
So, The Petersham is a fine dining experience, the menu is small but that suits the season and most tastes.
I am gluten and diary free and the waiter was great with knowledge and swaps.
Th food is good, clean tasting organic and fresh.
The restaurant is lovely with fresh flowers and the service is super.
It is expensive, London prices but worth a visit but I wouldn't consider it a regular.
There is an outdoor courtyard area but were seated inside which was lovely on Hot June day.
Sunny Day, ate inside but next to huge open doors. Good food, great winelist.
Beautiful setting, absolutely excellent service. Main course portions were a touch on the small side but food overall was delicious and we would definitely dine there again.
Dear Annabel, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback following your recent visit at the restaurant. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed the experience and are looking forward your next visit at The Petersham. TR - General Manager
Really good food, amazing service but the portions were too little for what it was worth.
This is a treasure of a restaurant. Petersham is different to most others as it offers marvelous organic products and is always a delightful way to spend a long lunch with friends inside or out.
We love it 💕
The food was absolutely delicious with unusual, fresh and lovely imaginative ingredients.
The portion sizes were minuscule (and I'm not a big eater) and we ended up going around the corner for an ice cream after the meal as we were still hungry.
Very expensive for what it was.
The atmosphere is great with seasonal selection of food choices.
The environment was lovely! The staff were attentive. My only complaint was that their gluten-free version of the afternoon tea included lots of mousse-y/panna cotta style pots, which as someone who struggles with large quantities of dairy, it felt quite upsetting.
Loved it 🥰 I’ll be having my date night there for sure!
Not sure is there are still Covid curfews in place , but not great getting rushed out of the restaurant
So lovely. Food is gorgeous and the staff are so friendly. Favourite restaurant.
Great food and service, excellent quality evening.
Absolutely loved everything about the Petersham! Elegance all round and the food exquisite!
The most important element to entertaining is service. Giuseppe was amazing. I’ve rebooked because of his clear interest in his guests and excellently balanced attentiveness. The room is beautiful, drinks great, food beautiful- but I had to take my client to five guys after as the portions were (albeit picture perfect) small. I eat out A LOT, but no other way to say it. Tasted gorgeous, though.
Been before, will go again
Awesome great service. Quality food that was different and great presentation. Delicious wine chosen with thought by sommelier
Go for the ambience and the decor, not for the food. Shockingly tiny portions and flavours nothing to rave about, but prices to boot! Almost wanted to stop at Shake Shack around the corner after!

Had pre theatre menu before pandemic and was well priced. Now post pandemic normal dinner menu- very expensive for very small portions. Left hungry. Cheapest bottle of wine was £40. Service was excellent.
Dear Georgina, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback following your visit at The Petersham. As you may be aware , Theatre are currently closed by government guidance and the restaurant is therefore not offering pre theatre at the moment. However please be assured that they will be back on offer when London theatre will be operating again soon. Best Regards, TR - General Manager
Stunning surrounds for a special occasion meal. Best bloody mary in town - freshly squeezed home grown tomato juice a revelation. Lovely service. delicious ingredients. Expensive but treaty.

We are glad you enjoyed the experience and celebrated appropriately your special occasion. Our Bartender team were also delighted to read that you enjoyed our signature bloody Mary cocktail . Booked a table for outside (weather permitting) was absolutely lovely. The team were attentive to us throughout and helpful. A blanket provided for those that wanted it.
If decent portions is what you are after this may not be your best call. Having said that everything we were served was absolutely gorgeous.
Dear Lewis, Thank you very much for sharing your lovely feedback following your recent visit at the Petersham. We are glad to read that you enjoyed the overall experience and passed on your comments to our teams. Looking forward welcoming you back again very soon. TR - General Manager
