The Pigs Nose Inn is a traditional english pub with lots of unique character and also the addition of being Devon’s most southerly independent live music venue. Located in a village of East Prawle, not far from Kingsbridge. The pub overlooks the charming village green where you can sit down in the summer days and enjoy a Walkers ploughman’s lunch, baguette or jacket potato.

Our new menu brings a selection of the best quality, hearty pub food featuring a regularly changing specials menu supporting our daily menu with dishes all sourced from local Devon farming and fishing produce. Our main menu has the satisfying classics like pub beer battered cod & chips or a beef burger, onion rings, chips and salad to tempt your tastebuds. Then have a sip of an ultra local beer from South Hams Brewery or Otter Brewery or a nice hot drink after a long walk on coast paths.

Sunday Roast Dinner - now serving a Sunday Roast every week & limited Sunday menu for people who don’t fancy a roast.

Not really fair to ask for a review during Covid restrictions and outside dining on a cold windy night, but staff were very friendly. Food was very nice and the IR heat lamps tried their best. Would revisit in warmer or more open times.

Efficient, friendly service; good lunch, with brilliant chips and excellent home-made tartare sauce. Uniquely characterful place, which some might find a bit shabby.

Not Covid safe!!!
Locals going into the pub , no masks , and serving own drinks.
Poor service, we were forgotten twice no cleaning of tables between customers

The Pigs Nose Inn, East Prawle
Responded on 21 April 2021

The pub is open as your allowed to just use the toilet facilities . However they must be wearing a mask. Nobody serves there own drinks thats not true. Everyone indoors and outdoors not sat at table is required to wear a mask at all times. We do clean the tables after each customer with anti viral spray.

We were looking forward to our first pub meal but the food was extremely disappointing. The chicken and leek pie was awful, served with dry chips or lumpy, tasteless mash. Plus a few frozen peas. The pub had put tables and chairs on the village green and the staff were very attentive. However the service was slow. We had to wait an hour after ordering for the food to arrive

Hi Francis, Sorry you had a terrible Pieminister Free Ranger Pie (Chicken, Leek & Ham). We are also sorry about the fact that you had to wait 1hr for food. During the first Saturday of the reopening we were very busy and it was hard to get back in the swing of things. Hope if you visit us next time our food will of improved. Currently the menu is limited as we haven't got a head chef. However we have one starting in after May 5th so please visit us again!
