We have over 12 cask ales/draught lagers as well as bottled beers & fine wines. Our spirit selection includes many craft gins and premium cocktail ingredients.
We have a large outdoor terrace and garden area perfect for families. Plenty of green grass, open space, blossoming trees, as well as a south facing aspect and a play area for the children.
Very organised, outdoor seating. Fast efficient service. Really nice well presented food and drinks. Friendly atmosphere, all the staff are happy and helpful. We will def, book again soon.
Lovely lunch with great service. Everything felt very safe and there was plenty of space.
They also have two large marquees, which would be good for bad weather.
Lovely welcome, table not ready but staff trying to deal with 2 tables who were all paying individually and were stood up gathered inside the marquee. Once sat down, super service, friendly staff, unfortunately some young people who were loud and using foul language, totally unaware of the children sat at 2 other tables. Once they left we had our meal, food was ok, and it was the first day of opening so bound to be some teething problems. Glad we went, daughter booked in with her friends on Friday, no doubt we will be back! Thank you.
Freindly staff ,but slow service ,waited 20 mins for first drinks to arrive .the staff are welcoming and i will be going back
Please be aware which tent you put the type of groups in, don't mix families (wanting to watch their children play outside) with young (20' & 30's) drinkers (not eating) who don't stay sat down and put load music on the WiFi speaker...
Keep families in the lower tent and noisier drinker (with occasional bad language) in the upper tent.
I'm not complaining, as (depending on whether I'm with my family or not) I potentially fall into either category, and I'm still happy to visit the Pledwick.

Only thing I could fault is that the food took an hour to come and saw other tables who had come 20 min after us get there food 15 min before us. However it was busy and opening day so this obviously could be excused. Food was fab!
Lovely pre lockdown evening at the Pledwick. Staff were very attentive bringing us blankets outside and spot on cocktails as usual
Another good meal at the Pledwick rather limited choice but totally understandable the night before lockdown!

Lovely meal. Great environment and fab little area set up outside so more than one household can mix.
Not cold at all, and felt very relaxed with the lighting, heaters and big space.
My only negative would be the price of the desserts.
Really enjoyable and good value. Good service and food.
Food very good. Service not so good as they forgot to bring one of our party's meal and everyone had finished their meal before it was brought to the table in spite of staff being reminded two or three times. We could see that the same meal was ordered and brought to 2 other tables before the missing meal was brought to our table. In their defence they did not charge for the missing meal and the food is very good but we felt let down as one of our party had to eat their meal after everyone else had finished.
It was the first time we had eaten at the Pledwick and the food and service was great. Looking forward to our next visit 😋
First experience of outdoor dining in October (thanks to Covid rules) and The Pledwick made it a wonderful one.
The marquee had tables well spaced, heating and back ground music, made for a lovely atmosphere.
The food was delicious and reasonably priced from the lunch time menu.
The waiting staff were very attentive - thank you for a wonderful lunch!
On arrival was swiftly seen to and seated,service was prompt and all i can say is wow to the service and wow to the food,the waiting staff were very curtious and professional,will definitely be returning
Excellent Roast Beef. Service was a bit erratic but I guess we have to make allowances for the Covid restrictions/regulations.

We were greeted at the door by a friendly member of staff and taken to our table. The service was first class, the waiter promptly took our order and brought our drinks. The food was cooked and presented beautifully. Can’t wait for our next visit.
Lovely meal as always at the Pledwick. Had the 3 course Sunday Lunch which was tasty and satisfying. Only issue we had was the noise levels from other tables. We could hear full conversations over our own and found it hard to switch off from it. There was no background music which I think may have helped. All in all a nice meal at a very good price just a shame about the other loud guests.
Visited for Sunday lunch and the food was amazing! Definitely recommend. Afterwards we sat outside in the heated marquee for drinks which had background music playing which created a lovely atmosphere too!

The food was excellent. My starter of squid was as expected, and for main I had a steak sandwich, which is always a gamble, but the steak was pink, soft, and had very good flavour.
My girlfriend had 2 puddings, and everything from the beer (Landlord) to the coffee was very good.
Will definitely return.

Menu slightly reduced but plenty of choice, the food was excellent best pie I've ever had and I've had lots,the waitress was a joy and the whole experience was one I'll be happy to repeat.
Went for lunch with three friends. The food was excellent, good service and we all felt very safe dining there.

We waited above 40 minutes for a fairly simple order- it was not very busy-one order wrongly produced so we had to wait for a replacement which took very little time strangely?
Pizzas were good though a little expensive- Chicken burger looked good; falafels were a bit dry tbh and the 3 for 11 nibbles are very small- glad I ordered something else as well.
Service was very friendly- perhaps comping a dessert for the mistake might have been an idea?
On the whole not too bad just needs to drop prices slightly.
We are becoming regulars here and we are never disappointed with anything. That’s from being greeted and shown to our table, to the food, to the goodnight when we leave at the end of the night. The staff are incredible, friendly, professional and very attentive.
