A pub in the modern sense of the word. We have a bar area and a dining room, we serve food from a menu that changes often, it isn't fine dining nor is it trying to be. We cook in a way that we as cooks like to eat, do not be afraid to share, as sharing truly is the spice of life.

If you would like simply to pop in for a cheeseburger and a refreshing pint please do, there is always space in the bar.

It is loud and slightly chaotic, at night it is dark, we turn tables because we need to in order to survive, make the business work, and pay the people that make it work. Please don't be offended if we ask you to wait a little moment for your table to be ready.

The kitchen opens at 6pm for service during weekdays (Monday to Friday) and at 1pm during the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) for a lunch service. The pub, however, opens at 3pm on weekdays and at 12pm on weekends

    Whilst all the staff were friendly and service was good, we were quite disappointed with the food. I assumed perhaps foolishly that something might come with the burger, it just arrived on a small plate and I realised I needed to order potatoes to go with it. My wife was much more disappointed however because the red mullet she ordered was cooked well with tasty veg accompaniment BUT the amount of red and green chilli made it inedible for her after a few mouthfuls. Not good value and it was so noisy we couldn’t easily converse.

    First time at The Plimsoll and it did not disappoint. The service is excellent and highly professional. The food is fresh and high quality and very tasty.

    The food was amazing after hearing this was the best burger in town had high expectations and this place delivered. Not just the burger was amazing but accompanied with CRUMBED PRAWN, MAYO, BEETROOT Thank you to the waitress lila for the suggestion was also a very lovely dish

    I’d been waiting to have dinner at The Plimsoll for a wee while and it absolutely did not disappoint. The food was outstanding, particularly the Dexter cheeseburger and fried potatoes. Lovely atmosphere, flawless service.. a perfect evening. Thank you

    Cosiest most beautiful pub and restaurant! Me and my friend have been coming here for drinks for a couple of years and finally went for food, I wish we did sooner it was amazing food ☺️ highly recommend
