Excellent food with fresh ingredients and service, well presented. Staff keen to ensure you're happy and have everything you need. Good atmosphere and lovely setting.
Hidden slightly out of the way, But an amazing establishment I cannot fault the staff or the service at all. As for the food both of our meals where amazing. I shall definitely be returning.
The restaurant is very nicely decorated inside. The food was lovely and good value for money
Very rushed ordered drink to have before meal, meal came before drink !! Average steak cold ! Not offered mustard or dressing. Very expensive for what we received! Use Greenhouse which is same menu but so much better.
Nice place, food not very tasty, bland and nothing special, service was ok.
An OK experience. Food was served ridiculously quickly...
Great food great service and we had a very enjoyable evening
My partner had a beef dinner but there was more fat than meat, very disappointed in her meal but everything else was pretty good
Quite disappointed with our recent visit. We had a drink and were told we couldn't open a tab as they've had people do 'a runner' without paying the bar tab! As the customer we don't need to know that! There was no record of our booking that we'd made through open table. We were found a table though but were seated very close to other tables and then left for 20 mins whilst others seated after us had their orders taken.Food was really good
though which certainly helped!
Despite it being a busy night the whole night and service was excellent
Reserved table wasn’t ready had to eat starter in bar area not what you pay for with the cost of food !!! Eventually went to table waited one 1/2 hours for food just main !!! Forgot our drinks twice !!! Complained to manager twice on second complaint agreed was not good enough and refunded meal, but this was not the point, having service this bad and waiting for food that long with children is not acceptable with the prices the restaurant charges. I had a roast which was just barely edible over cooked and came out cold. We will not be returning or recommending to anyone. Such a disappointment as lovely inside.
Good menu choice and a well presenting dining room.
Had a very nice midweek lunch at the Plough. It's a bit more upmarket than some of my more local pubs and there is a nice atmosphere. There is also a bar, where you can sit and have a drink before or after a meal. This is lacking in some local pubs now.
We were put on a table at the back of the restaurant next to a large party. It was draughty. We needed to move the table to allow the large table to be served without brushing against one person on our table.
We ordered and were served with drinks. We then ordered starter and mains. After being seated for an hour, we asked the waitress where was our food. After checking we were told they were very busy and it was only 26 minutes since we had ordered and the kitchen was on the case. Just then, two people arrived with our main courses; before we had had starters! The mains were taken away. We eventually got the starters. The tomato soup was cold. The mains then arrived. We then ordered desserts; two cheese boards and two Christmas puddings which were cold. We didn’t complain at the time; perhaps we should have done, but, as it was, we were sat at a draughty table in a noisy restaurant for three hours as it was.
We will not be returning to the Plough and Harrow.
Can honestly say this was loveliest food I've had from a gastro pub . The surroundings were all very conducive to a exception meal experience, recommended to all
Nice atmosphere for a meal with friends good parking
