The Plough is a country pub, restaurant and rooms just outside Rye, with a beer garden offering picturesque views of the Brede valley. Our food offer is pub classics made incredibly as well as creative cooking, whilst being ingredient led. We primarily use British produce and work with local suppliers to ensure we always source the very best ingredients we can get our hands on. Inside we have a warm atmosphere with log fires and friendly service.

    Very friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. Food is exceptional, using local produce. Also tasty, generously proportioned and well presented. Above average prices for the a la carte menu, but worth the cost! Lovely outlook in the outdoor garden. Car park rather small but some on road parking available.

    Very quiet. We were a table of 4, there was a table of 2 when we arrived who were finishing up. Sat by the garden doors, food was very good and server was excellent. Quite pricy but thoroughly enjoyed.

    Absolutely fantastic food, the staff were really friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The pub is lovely too with a great informal vibe while still being smart inside. Great beers. We will definitely return, thank you!

    The food was all outstanding, starters mains sides and dessert. Service was very friendly, but somewhat slow. Overall a really nice meal in a really nice pub in a really nice area. Would definitely recommend.

    Sunday lunch with friends at The Plough was fantastic. Great food, friendly and helpful staff, a great atmosphere, and stunning views all went to make for a perfect experience.
