The Point in Towson is a completely renovated restaurant and bar in the Towson marketplace. It will be the second location stemming from The Point in Fells, an 8 year strong restaurant placed squarely on the waterfront in the heart of Baltimore’s ever competitive and popular Fells Point neighborhood. We focus on upscale American pub and comfort food with a twist and a bar focused on reinventing classic craft cocktails. We are an upscale bar focused on excellent food. A place where you always know you will get the best of everything. The Point in Towson will feature wooden fixtures, back deck and game room, a large communal dining room, comfortable furnishings and decor with soothing warm tones. It is be the perfect place to stop in for a bite to eat, for a drink, a small business meeting, an Orioles game and everything in between.

Great meal with family . Busy night in the bar, sat at a hi-top.Had to flag the server down a few times. We were not in a rush so it worked out.

Love the location...server was great..and the band playing (surprise, didn't know that there would be live music) was fantastic. Food was good..$15-20 for French Dip, Salmon BLT, Chicken Club....a bit pricey for sandwiches and our drinks were way over priced! $11 for a glass of wine. Our bill for 4 sandwiches and 2 rounds of drinks for 4 was $180. That's a bit pricey. We would definitely return...but watch what you drink!

We had a reservation for 12:15, no one took our order until almost 1:30, when our food finally came it was the wrong order. Talked to the manager and he gave us an attitude. Had a horrible experience for my birthday.

Restaurant does not honor reservations for high top table. You can make the reservation but they don’t actually hold the table. Hostess did not send to understand concept of reservation. Nevertheless, if you’d like to sit in the back part of the restaurant it’s brightly lit and quiet. However, I doubt you’d need a reservation for that area.

Enjoyed the brunch at this restaurant. The Point made my mother’s birthday brunch great! Bottomless mimosa! The food was great too! We enjoyed the crab Benedict and chicken and waffles. The crab dip appetizer with warm soft pretzel bites was awesome. I will be returning very soon!

Service was slow & not overly attentive. It seemed odd as we were a table of 6 & there was not a lot of customers at the restaurant. Our server was also handling the bar. Her interest was clearly the patrons at the bar.

The food was good though. We enjoyed the fried deviled eggs and the bacon.

So, the great things about The Point in Towson was the servers were around a lot and the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. My son had The Breakfast Bowl and loved it!!!

I’m disappointed that the waiter didn’t acknowledge the Open Table reservation and I had to send a note. We ordered the crab tots to come out before brunch and it cane with the rest of the food. I ordered the stuffed cannoli french toast and it was not stuffed but on top. Was not very good.

I have frequented the point in fells several times. I thought the experience at the Towson location would be just as great. Service was hit or miss. It seemed like 3 or 4 people were working an entire room of 3 seated tables and you struggled to get attention of servers. We had to ask for information about specials. When making reservations and ordering food we told staff my mother has a seafood allergy. When an appetizer was brought out, the server couldn’t tell us if it was safe for her to eat. Also, the bacon app was ridiculously spicy. It overwhelmed my palate. The chicken and waffles were ok. The chicken was over cooked. My parents loved their food- the hangover omelet and a burger. Also, the app was brought and less than 5 mins brunch entrees were brought to the table. Price was reasonable- under $100 with tip for 4 people.
Overall, I will try them again. The Towson location is closer than the fells location.

We have been going to the point pretty consistently for a while and I made a reservation thinking our party could sit in the bar side during the NFL playoff games. When we got to the restaurant I was told that was not possible and that they had called me numerous times during the day - I had zero missed calls. We would have appreciated a real phone call, email, text or anything so we could plan accordingly.

We love this place, especially sharing the charcuterie tray which is different every time we order it. They use fresh and seasonal ingredients that always make it fun. Everyone is helpful with GF options and I always love trying whatever new and innovate way to serve a deviled egg as the chef can imagine. Egg with crab? OMG, yes! Service is usually pretty good but it's never bad and dependent upon whatever else might be going on. Sophisticated bar food, great pour of wine, and never takes itself too seriously - it's a place always on our radar screen.

On the site of a former bar, The Crease. Expansive bar area(s) and smaller, narrow "dining room". Service was excellent from Quentin (as well as the food runner). Menu is inclined toward bar fare with a sprinkling of entrees. Brussel Sprouts appetizer very good and shared. Pot pie entree deemed excellent by guest, same with tenderloin, salmon was tasty but sprinkled with sea salt so low sodium devotees need to watch out. Robust beer and cocktail list apropos of a bar. Doughnut desert was very good. Bill with tip came to $200 for 4 with drinks which is a little on the high side. Food was good but would recommend more for "bar/light fare" offerings than full dinners. Beware that the parking is difficult. The Towson Commons lot was very full and cost $6, paid by credit card only.

Waited 10 minutes before someone said anything to us. Ordered drinks and had several bugs in the drink (pictured). Crab dip is mostly cheese. Chicken and waffles were overcook. Was bought out the wrong food for the second dish. Waited too long to get change to leave a tip. Our waiter Josh at the bar was probably the most tolerable aspect of the establishment. Everything else was horribly poor.

I was there with 2 friends on a Saturday night. Although the place wasn’t crowded, the service was extremely slow. I waited atleast 20 minutes to be offered a drink after I arrived. The food took about an hour to receive. We were not checked in on and found it very difficult to order more drinks as our waiter would disappear for long periods of time. The food and drinks were good and the ambience was nice. I wouldn’t recommend friends go if they are looking to be served food and drinks at a table as they will be waiting a long time.

I ordered the salmon with sweet potatoes and spinach dish. Presentation was nice but the vegetables were ice cold. Asked for hot tea and was given microwaved ice tea. Corn crab soup tasted like heated up can soup. Waiter was not interested in my complaints. I will never eat there again.

Food is a gourmet experience in the heart of a great college town. Compliments to the chef and as well watching the staff cooperative to maneuver the kitchen experience was impressive. When I visit my alma mater and my son I will visit again.

Fairly quiet restaurant, even though the tables were full, with a promising menu. Nice, clean decor. The service was spotty at best. It took about 45 - 50 minutes for the food to arrive, and unfortunately it all came at once (soup, salad and entree) and the food temperature was uneven.

What a fun place to go with incredibly great and innovative food. Some of it's bar food at the top of its game while the dinner and brunch menus look like reasons why we have to go back. They are incredibly helpful with gluten free options and made great recommendations. We will return again and again!

Birthday celebration for daughter and grandson. Our table was ready upon arrival and service was wonderful. We tried many dishes and everyone enjoyed their selections. Will definitely return.

There are not too many "firsts" for us anymore in the Towson area, but I had heard good things about the Point and I checked the website and found suitable gluten free options. So off we went for an early supper on Saturday night. It was the perfect evening and we were glad to find we could get in a few minutes early. The atmosphere is upscale tavern and we loved it. I know we will be back! Since it was early and we had just come from a matinee, we were not starving, so we opted to eat appetizers. And wow! I am so glad we did. All of our choices were either GF or could be made that way. We ordered the crab guacomole and trust me, that is not to be missed. We chased it down with Chesepake deviled eggs and the taste synergies were really good. We backed it all up with a lovely charcuterie tray that included spicy, crispy bacon! How original is that? I drank two glasses of wine and had a lovely time. My husband made me promise we'd be back sooner rather than later.

They were very busy - probably to be expected for a Saturday brunch time but the food took a long while and when I had to send my first sandwich back - wasn’t as cooked as I would like it - the replacement sandwich took a long time to come. BUT the food was delicious and the drinks were great and the manager checked in and made things right. So all in all I would go back again - but probably not on a Saturday morning for brunch.

The food was good but we were outside on the patio and the service was poor. The girl was nice when she was at our table but that was not often - we were searching for her when we were ready to order drinks, then dinner...then waiting for her to pick up the check.

I would recommend for lunch... we went for dinner. Kinda pricey for the quality. Went for my birthday and noted it was a birthday on Open Table with our reservation. It was never mentioned we were there for a reason... Didn’t meet my expectations.
